Older property with great location to several coastal areas
Average stay. Found lighting poor especially in living room. Unaware location was above a store. Musty smell indicating damp within the structure. Best point was access to other areas via boat and bus.

Family holiday
The location and the property were great. Everything you need is there in the property for a great stay. The location is fantastic as you are near all the shops and restaurants it's just a short walk to the harbour. You can also visit local places and there is a car parking space which is fantastic as the parking can be a nightmare and costly. Overall we would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic property and location
Loved our week's holiday in Brixham. The property was all that we could of asked for and more. Excellent location. Bus stop opposite to visit all the sites Torbay has to offer. Would not hesitate to recommend to others. We hope to return in the future.

Great holiday in a lovely cottage
The property was just as described, very quirky with more than enough space for our family which consisted of family of four plus grandparents, the location was spot on for all Brixham has to offer with no large hills or many steps to encounter to get to the harbour, a lovely pub (The Manor) was also situated just behind the property. Would recommend the property to all age groups. Fantastic time had by all of us!

Despite the mix up with the instructions for obtaining the keys everything else went smoothly. A central location well appointed with a very helpful landlady. We enjoyed our stay

Cosy cottage
Perfect location for all the amenities in Brixham. The accommodation was larger than expected, very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed included. The owner and caretakers were a pleasure to deal with.

Upper Cottage Brixham....a wonderful cottage on the coast in a beautiful part of Devon
Upper Cottage Brixham is the place you want to stay in for your relaxing holiday whether it's summer, winter, autumn or spring. My family and I spent the whole month of December 2018 at the cottage and couldn't have been happier. A home away from home and the position could not have been more perfect. Rosalie has thought of everything and the cottage was warm and cosy. One word of warning for those who have a problem with stairs, there are steep stairs leading up to the lounge room from the front door and another lot of spiral stairs leading from the lounge to the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. We loved the whole Brixham experience and will never forget our wonderful time there. Beth from Australia

Great flat, excellent location, brilliant owner. Loved it!
The whole experience from booking, arrival, our stay and liaison with the owner was five star. The flat was perfect for our family; 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. Very well equipped. The location is ideal for walks (long and short), pubs, convenience stores, shopping, fishing, crabbing, etc. Or just chilling in the flat. The owner Rosalie was very quick to respond to our correspondence, very helpful with any questions we had and just generally all you require and more from an owner. Thanks Rosalie and looking forward to returning soon.

Convenient and well-equipped
Brixham is a quaint fishing village with lots of bars, cafés and independent shops. It was great for just wandering round and watching the world go by, as well as taking longer walks along the coast. The accommodation was perfectly situated, right in the centre a few metres from the harbour, equipped with everything you need for a short break.

Very well equipped & cosy
Sweet cottage and very central to Brixham. Well equipped and cosy. Parking is available in the harbour in a dedicated space about 5 mins walk away and down the hill. Our only small problem was the boiler was "switched off" (according to the boiler man) so we had no heating or hot water other than from the electric shower on the first night and had to wait in the following morning to let the boiler man in - luckily not for too long and the weather was warm. But it was an unexpected inconvenience none-the-less.

Christmas break
We stayed in Upper Cottage over the Christmas holidays. It is a lovely cosy cottage with plenty of facilities to make it a comfortable home from home. When going out for the day, you can look forward to returning to the cottage to relax in the well equipped and comfy sitting room and prepare meals in the adequate kitchen. It is very centrally situated in Brixham - but it being Christmas obviously most of the shops were closed as well as the restaurants so we did go to Paignton and Torquay to get supplies.

Great holiday , lots to do and see. Beautiful walks , shops, restaurants aplenty.
Upper cottage has everything you could possibly need , a real home from home . Eat out some nights but was lovely to go to the local butchers and cook in some evenings. Brixham is a beautiful part of the world , 6 of us visited with 3 generations and we all loved it .

Clean, comfortable and very cosy
A great little property that was very clean, equipt with everything we needed and a stones throw from the harbour and shops. Seemed bigger than the pictures let on, and the terrace garden out back was a great sun trap. Lots to see and do in Brixham, as well as Paignton and Tourquay which are both a short drive away, and kept our almost 2 year old and dog entertained throughout. The parking space situated in the harbour made parking stress free. Definitely thinking of visiting again next year!

Fabulous,homely,cosy,well equipped cottage.A stones throw from harbour.Perfect !
I was pleasantly surprised with this cottage, it's much larger than you would ever imagine from the outside appearance. Very quirky, comfortable and central to Brixham town and harbour. We had lovely walks with the dogs to the stunning coves along the coastline to Paignton. The English Riviera is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK. We will certainly return. Rosalie provided is with lots of information and is "super helpful." Brixham town is a buzzing thriving community with lovely pubs and restaurants. For us ... it's near perfect... Don't hesitate to visit, you won't regret it. Thanks Rosalie x

Lovely , homely place to stay
Upper cottage is a very lovely place to stay in , well equipped with everything you'd need , there was 6 of us who stayed a week and was plenty of room for us all. We parked the cars up one in the allocated space and one in the oxen cove pay n display which cost £35 for the week , had to get a ticket from the harbour master office, We traveled everywhere on the buses , the bus stops are literally opposite the cottage , the cottage is a short walk from the harbour with shop and cafes along the way , there's is stairs to the property but my elderly parents managed them adequately. Lovely balcony on the front to sit and watch the world go by , the only thing I fount was lots of seagull noise , more when the fishing boats came in but that can't be helped being in a fishing town , would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a place to stay in Brixham

My partner and I live in the midlands. We both love the south west and decided to look for a property to buy. We toured the area and decided on Brixham as we wanted somewhere to spend our winters. We spotted a run down property in need of a complete renovation and so we bought it and spent the next year lovingly restoring it.
Upper cottage used to be a merchant traders house and dates back to the 17th century.
Because Upper Cottage is our HolidayHome we have taken special care to provide good quality furnishings and utensells. You will find every thing there that you need to make your holiday a memorable one.
Upper Cottage will provide you with a lovely environment to spend quality time with your family.
We are retired now and love to spend time at the cottage.

Why they chose this property

We bought our holiday home in brixham because we fell in love with the place.and as we intended to use the cottage in the winter time we wanted somewhere with a more gentle climate. Brixham is a little micro climate and can often be very mild during winter months. Its charming and busy harbour and the situation of the cottage being on the level of the town means you can nip in and out of the town and harbour on foot without the need for a car. its in an area of outstanding natural beauty with lots to see close by, lovely walks and fantastic pubs and resturants.
We chose Brixham to buy our holiday home because it is a thriving fishing comunity.not just a holiday resort. So many seaside towns die in the winter but although Brixham is quieter, it is still lively out of season.

What makes this property unique

We are close to the harbour and town with the manor pub being the nearest pub only 50 or so yrds away. numerous shops restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk from the property. buses to all torbay resorts leave from the square across from the property which we enjoy for free with our bus pass!!We love to walk around the harbour and up on to Berry Head which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The beaches of fishcomb and churston cove are a 15 minute walk from the harbour and you can take your dog on these all year round.
Brixham welcomes dogs and many of the pubs and resturants allow them in.
The cottage is cosy for winter lets with full gas central heating (all you have to do is turn up the thermostat and on it comes) and a flame effect stove fire in the lounge fireplace.
