Good for weekends and midweek stays.
This property is good for a weekend or midweek stay for two but I would not recommend for a family, unless they wish to use it as a hotel and go out for the day. It is fully equipped with kitchen cookware but there is very little room to prepare a meal. Our stay was pleasant and the beds very comfortable but the bathroom is very small, there is little room for toiletries and the shower spray leaks water. The fan is not strong enough to clear the damp so one has to wait in between showers, with the door open. It's more of an en suite to a master bedroom. We made the most of our stay by eating out in the evening. We holiday in the UK four or five times a year but I have never stayed anywhere where one has to remove bed linen and place it in a laundry bag along with towels and tea towels. Nonetheless, we did as was asked. The beds were very comfortable and it was a pleasure seeing the squirrels and chickens! The owners are helpful and we met the son's lovely dog, who came to say hello. The entrance and exit can be difficult during peak times,

Good value, clean and tidy.
Clean and tidy, not massive but perfectly adequate. Free Wi-Fi is a plus. Fairly quiet despite being on a main road and only 15 minutes to York Center plus park and ride and bus close by. Definitely recommend.

bungalow confortable

This is a nice clean property with all you need for a few days away. Some road noise can be heard in the main bedroom could be a problem if you like quiet mornings. Easy access to York from the property.

The Bungalow
The cottage was spotlessly clean, with an abundance of soft, fluffy towels and even some milk in the fridge. Good location for access to York and surrounding area. The cottage is snug for a family of four but perfectly adequate for our week long stay and was priced very reasonably compared to many others in the area. It also had a good shower, which we find many properties are let down by. A smart TV to be able to take better advantage of the wi fi would be an improvement, it’s practically an essential if you have kids. Also repair of the bathroom door, which was difficult to close and perhaps some thinner quilts for the summer period. Overall a nice little cottage with a lovely landlady on hand next door.

Great place to spend time away from the city.
The property was ideal for family and 2 children. Large garden enclosed at rear which is ideal if you have children. Property is situated approx 8 miles from city centre although there is a regular bus 50 metres away so no problem if you do not have a car. Would recommend to any traveller.

Lovely Stay
Great location for visiting York. Close to Grimston Park and Ride which is ideal for getting into York. Lyn was very welcoming and even left fresh milk and biscuits for our arrival. The bungalow was really clean and had everything you needed. Would definitely return if we were visiting York in the future.

Great holiday in York
The owners are nice and friendly as is their lovely little dog Poppy .The bungalow is big enough for 4 .the only thing that I would change is the bath /shower for a walk in shower as not suitable for someone with a disability ..Nice clean and the bonus of free WiFi , handy when looking online for days out .We visited Lightwater Valley and our son loved it , designer outlet in York is good for some bargain shopping .We also visited the Thirsk falconry centre , some 70 birds of prey with displays put on at certain times of the day .If visiting York I would advise the park and ride buses , saves a lot of hassle trying to park and then visit Yorkminster , Yorvik centre ,along with the museums .There is plenty to see and do and we have visited Yorkshire for a few years now and always enjoy it .

Pleasant house near York
This is an attached cottage, connected to the B&B. It is 3.5 miles to the Park and Ride bus stop that takes you to central York, and which is easily your best option for seeing central York. The cottage has access to a wonderful lawn which my two children (7 and 9) really enjoyed after a day of travel. And the milk and biscuits left in our room when we arrived were greatly appreciated!

Well equipped and comfortable.
The owners, Lynne and Barry, were very welcoming and friendly. Their property was well equipped and very clean and was well placed for visiting York, being just a few miles from the city. If you're into classic cars then talk to Barry. I happened to notice one of his vehicles and was then shown two others which he had restored himself. His restoration skills brought out the green eyed monster in me! Overall, a pleasant stay.
