We came for a few days at the end of June 2016. Initial impression when arriving was "looks a bit ramshackle" - but go inside and it's much better than that! Quirky, clean and with everything we needed. My elderly parents (Mum is 94 and uses a walking frame) managed the outside steps fine as it has a handrail, and inside they had the double bedroom with no step, all was on the level, they were able to cope. I brought a WC seat raiser, but they managed everything else fine. It was great for them, including the good view particularly when the weather was a bit grey and windy. Dad could wander along the beach safely and talk to fishermen. A very good place to take them away to.
We found the Beach café fish&chip shop the first night, but suspect the SmallFry chipshop next to the Co-op is better.
Pagham itself is a bit basic, not much there, from the shops it looks a bit in recession, no pub in walking distance. The walk to the harbour and lagoon is nice.
All in all, a good place to take elderly people, to look at the sea and enjoy the views, sunshine, and sea air, and have a quiet wander.
The owner very helpful with information.
