The loveliest place..
If your dreams of a perfect holiday is a big house with a spa, luxus, white sandbeaches and in the middle of everything, this is not a place for you.. If your dreams of a perfect holiday is to stay on a small, beautiful and quiet island, in a small, cosy house with a breathtaking view to the sea and the most fantastic sunsets... With the smell of fresh herbs, the buzz of the bees, surrounded by tomato- and eggplants, rosemary, thyme, oregano etc, on a mountain hill in a local village with a beautiful harbor and nice people....... Then this might be the right place for you. In july 2015 we spent two fantastic weeks in this beautiful place, and we would for sure love to come back one day. We were a family with 5/6 adults (oh yes, the fridge was a bit too small for so many persons) and we brought our own boat. Ivan and Anna were kind to help us finding a place for it. The island is a perfect starting point for daytrips to the sea and we found small lagunes for swimming and sunbathing. We also went to Kornati Islands and Krka waterfalls. If you do not have a boat yourself, daytrips by boat can easily be bought. On Prvic island there is a small supermarket, where you can buy the most necessary things. Otherwise you can go with a ferry or taxiboat to Vodice, where they have bigger supermarkets, green markets and butchers. There are also a lot of restaurants and in the evening the town really comes alive... On Prvic there are also nice restaurants at the waterfront. The island is car-free, but Ivan and Anna knows a place where you can park your car on the mainland, so if you wanna go sightseeing in Sibenik or other places by car that is possible, too. Bring as little luggage as possible (we had a lot, and it was the days work-out to bring it upstairs on arrival and downstairs when we left... 😄 ) There is around 130 steps up the hill to reach the house, and also stairs inside the house, so it is not recommended for walking-impaired people nor very small children, unless you can carry them.. Don't forget to take a walk on the paths around the island, you will pass the most beautiful views....remember to bring drinking water... There is no wi-fi in the house, but at the restaurants you can find (more or less useful) wi-fi signals. Thank you Ivan and Anna for being helpful and always answering our questions...we had a lovely time "charging our batteries" in your nice little spot...

Grandparent's birthplace
My family went to see the homes our grandparents grew up in on Prvic Luka. The views from our rental allowed us to see across the harbor and out to the sea. We would stay there again should our travels bring us back to Croatia.

Wonderful stay on idyllic island
We spent a wonderful week in this property. It was very comfortable for a family of 5. There was a bit of a heatwave during our stay but the sea breezes kept us cool and the bedrooms have aircon if needed. The windows also have mosquito nets so you can leave them open. We loved Prvic island and enjoyed swimming off the rocks. We recommend a trip to Krka national park - we went with Taxi Boat Kristian, who also helpfully took us to Split airport at the end of our stay. A magical place we can heartily recommend !

, was man pflücken darf.

Ein sehr kostbarer Ort - A very precious place
We spent a beautiful time in this remarkable house on Privc after the main season. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is definitely something you can find on the island at this time of the year. The night we arrived (and only then) there was a thunderstorm and, apparently, more rain then there had been for a while, we were told. Our landlady welcomed us cordially and saw to it that we got to the island and the house safely. Communicating with the owners of the house was easy and professional at all times, the house was exactly the way as described. Thanks to all that and more, we had a relaxing holiday with loads of fond memories to take back home.

Great Holiday Location on Pvic
Loved our holiday (2 adults and 2 children) on Prvic. Our accomodation was excellent and our host, Ana could not have been more helpful. The ferry and taxi-boats make access to large towns on mainland really easy. We spent a full day swimming and boating at Kyrk National Park- really worth it. The island has no cars so the pace is sleepy and relaxed. There are plenty of places to swim and boats/canoes to rent etc. Food/restaurants generally very good but would recommend the hotel for a really nice meal. The house is surrounded by growing fruit and vegetables and has incredible views over the village and small harbour.

Peaceful Tranquility with Fantastic Views
We had a lovely holiday in Prvic Luka - a fantastic place to unwind and reconnect as a family. Prvic Luka is a very quiet island, especially if you visit it in the Spring (we visited in the May half term), but our 8 year old daughter loved just spending special time with us. We arrived via a transfer from Split airport courtesy of Taxiboat Kristian (via car and boat) and we were greeted by Ana on our arrival. It was a fantastic start to the holiday and made us feel like VIPs. Thanks to advice from Ivan in advance I was able to book online before we arrived. It's a bit of a climb up to the house but it is no doubt made up for by the beautiful views of Prvic Luka harbour and surrounding islands. Ana was the perfect host and had prepared the house with lavender and a welcome pack of basic supplies. She gave us an informative tour and was always very keen to ensure that we had everything we needed. We sampled three restaurants on the island: - Restaurant Punta (very little choice but beautifully tender steak, a bit pricey) - Restaurant Val (the hotel restaurant - delicious but small portions) - Restaurant Mareta (very heavily salted food which I found revolting, got our drinks order wrong and slow service) We would recommend: - A trip to NP Krka using Taxiboat Kristian (more expensive but easier than the ferry + bus option). It gets busy but we loved the walk around Skradinski Buk (many fish, croaking frogs, bright blue damsel flies and lizards as well as waterfalls) including a swim in the pool near one of the waterfalls. The walk is mainly shaded which a relief from the heat. The boat trip to Visovac island was very serene but a little boring for our daughter. - The ferry to Sibenik - beautiful with enough souvenir shops to keep an 8 year old happy. We had one fantastic, cheap meal in a back street and two OK meals from the main seafront and tourist areas. The Medieval Mediterranean Garden of St Lawrence Monastery was worth a visit for an icecream and coffee. - Walking to Sepurine to get to larger beaches. None of the beaches on Prvic are sandy but we found the first bay you get to after the walk to Sepurine is good for beach combing for shells at the high tide mark. There are spots for swimming all over the island. - Bring lots of Kuna in cash as many restaurants don't take card. - Buy your ferry tickets from the kiosk in the square on the right of the museum (open 10 mins before ferry) - we missed this before our first trip

Wonderful Stay on Prvic
We spent two weeks in Prvic Luka and couldn't have wished for a better accomodation. The house is situated on a small hill, with beautiful views over the bay. You get to the house via a small path, and because it's the second last house on that path there are usually not many passers-by. We didn't find the steps tiring (it really only takes two minutes to walk up to the house). The house itself is a good size, with two patios (one to the front and one to the side of the house) and a balcony. It's well equipped. We especially liked the fact that we could use the washing machine—usefully for a longer stay (we stayed for two weeks). There was plenty of space and even toys in the bedrooms for our two sons. The ultimate luxury for me was fresh figs from the garden for breakfast every day (but I guess that's a question of visiting at the right time of year)! Prvic Luka has a number of pleasant restaurants, all within a few minutes walk; not to mention the ice cream parlour that we visited regularly. :-) There's a small stretch of shingle beach in Prvic Luka, and a larger beach in Sepurine (15 mins walk). In addition to the beaches, along the coastline are plenty of places where you can also safely enter the water. The crystal-clear water is ideal for snorkeling; we all loved exploring all the underwater creatures. When we fancied a day out, we took the ferry to Sibenik or explored Prvic on foot. Krka National Park is also breathtaking (albeit very busy!) and easy to reach. We'd like to say a big thank you to Ivan for being so incredibly helpful before and during our stay, and to Ana for her warm welcome. We'd love to come back!

House with a view
We had an amazing time on Prvic Island. The house is wonderfull. The location is just perfect. We didn't count the steps to the house, but the daily trip down and then back up the hill was never any trouble. The house is large enough for five people (we were four adults and one child). The large garden (full of herbs), the BBQ, the terrace (both of them), the toys available for our four year old son..... everything was just perfect. We visited the Island and surrounding islands (first with taxi boat, some days later with our own rented boat), Sibenik and Vodice. Thanks to Ivan for all the help before our trip (via email) and Ana for the warm welcome and all the adivse!

The house with the best views on the island
We stayed here with our 3 children (12,10, 7) after a week sailing on a flotilla. It was the perfect complement. Prvic is a beautifully unspoilt island so much so that you almost feel you're on a film set. We rented a boat from Kristian in Srima and explored some beautiful local islands and turquoise coloured bays (as well as a few quick jollys to the mainland for a bit of inflatable waterpark tat for the kids!). On Privic there are plenty of places to swim and a good selection of very pleasant waterfront restaurants where you can watch the sunset while the kids hurl themselves in to the sea right in front of you. The Mediterranean house sits above Prvic Luca village. But don't let the 120 steps put you off, it only takes 5 minutes to reach from the seafront and it is WELL worth the extra effort for the sensational views, not just of Prvic harbour and island but right across to the Kornati islands. We watched absolutely breathtaking sunsets and sunrises from the upper balcony and watched boats coming in and out of the harbour from far afield. The house is simply furnished and well equipped. It also has aircon which was a joy in the August heat. It divides well for a family or 2 couples in that there are 2 beds and 1 shower room on one side (kids) and a large master bed (accessed by a separate staircase from the kitchen) and a second bathroom. The gardens are stuffed with herbs and lavender. We also enjoyed using the outdoor BBQ oven and eating out under the stars. Right behind the house is the pathway up to the viewpoint from which you can access the other side of the island - there's a lot to explore. I almost want to keep quiet about Prvic, a hidden gem that I hope stays as quaintly charming as it is for ever. And this house is a great base from which to enjoy the island and surrounding area - highly recommended.

Wonderful Croatian experience!
We had a wonderful stay on Prvic and a highlight was the house and it's location. The view is amazing, it's situated above one end of Prvic Luka and is one of the highest houses so overlooks the village, the harbour and has far reaching views to the islands and out to sea. Of course it means a climb but we soon got used to it. There wasn't a better place to sit on early mornings and sunset. The house itself has everything you need and displays Ana's paintings, local shells and tasteful decor. The garden is lovely, when we stayed in July there were plenty of flowers open which attracted colourful nectar gathering insects and at dusk we were visited by hummingbird hawk moths. Swifts, Martins and Swallows frequently swooped above or in front of the balconies, as did other birds, being so high you often look down on them passing by. We picked some herbs and veg from the garden for the few occasions we cooked, mostly we ate out however. There are several easy to walk to restaurants right next to the water so my 5 and 10 year old were kept occupied with crab catching whilst we waited to out meals. The sea was warm and calm and perfect for my youngest to learn how to swim in. The Island is unspoilt with mostly stone buildings, narrow alleys and intriguing nooks and crannies to explore. It was out first trip to Croatia, and we really enjoyed our stay. The Island is relaxed and natural, the house a home from home, and Ana and Ivan helped us settle in and were there to answer any questions we had.

Little paradise
I spent almost three lovely weeks in this house with my man and one year old daughter. We are active types of tourists, which love to cook from the domestic goods. We all will love this house and island forever. The house was exact how is described and how the photos are. Fully equipped, clean, with quite a new furniture, tasteful decorating and a soft lavender smell everywhere. The views from both terraces were breathtaking. You will spend all your breakfasts and dinners there. Especially the sunset will made you really a romantic type, even if you are not :) There was absolute piece and quiet around the house. The garden is really big, natural and full of Mediterranean flowers, herbs and olive trees. Me as a herbmaniac was absolutely in love with it. I do have to write that the big part of our extrapositiv feelig from this vacation is thank to the owner (Miss Ana) and her son (Mr Ivan). They are just sweethearts. They helped us with absolutely every little thing we needed. Giving exact and great tips for traveling on the island, beaches to go, restaurants to eat, sightseeing, buying most fresh fishes, meat, fruits and vegetables. Helping with every question about the island (and it was a lot of them :). I reached them every time I needed something to ask, with a quick and detailed answers (in a three weeks and with a little child, we did have communicate a lot). Also the people on the island were really helpful and nice, we felt almost like at home there. We really did like the island, because it wasnt crowded with the tourists and you can pick from any kind of the beach you like (kids, snorkelers, sunbathers, swimmers etc). There are quite enough restaurants on such a small island, every of them was higher then average. I recommend this house for active people, who like to escape from the noisy reality. Active because of no cars on the island, and some stairs climbing to the house (is almost on the top of the hill). Once you will get there, you will stay there staring on the boats and see forever.

I'm a visual artist. I love to paint, read good books, travel and meet new people and discover new places and experience the beauty and uniqueness of each.

I also happen to find interest for growing herbs for culinary reasons – there is nothing that gives me more joy than to be able to walk out the door and pick fresh, flavorful herbs for making daily meals or the morning tea.

Why they chose this property

Since the early Middle Ages Prvic Island was admired for it's beauty by many Croatian travelers, writers and inventors. I could simpy say that I was stunned by the beauty, unique nature, people and customs of this small Dalmatian island, that is protected today as a cultural heritage of Croatia.
