Really enjoyed our stay, everything you could need from a family holiday rental. The house was clean and well equipped, it was also conveniently located a short walk (5 mins) to Beadnell Beach.
Our first time to Northumberland, the house is lovely and the location perfect for the beautiful Beadnell Bay beach which is 5 minutes walk away. Great position for exploring the rest of the Northumberland coast too. We look forward to coming back to Beadnell in June to stay at Susie's second property Hilly Brow
We had a query when booking and we received a response within minutes. We would highly recommend this property, easy access, exceptionally clean ad comfortable. Dog friendly with fenced garden. Minutes from the beach. All in all this is a wee gem.
Lovely open plan spacious area downstairs, with a very handy downstairs toilet. Upstairs 3 bedroom, one double with ensuite, one twin and one bunk room, and separate bathroom. Nice garden to the rear and ample parking at the front.
We will return, loved it.
Best part is the short walk to Beadnell Bay, simply stunning.
The house and its location are as described in the listing. Good size for a family of five. We really appreciated thoughtful touches such as tea towels, washing up liquids etc. Beadnell is the perfect location to visit nearby sites such as Bamburgh castle, Cragside, Farne islands, Holy Island and a little further afield: Scotland and Roman forts at Hadrians Wall. Great fish and chips and ice cream in nearby Seahouses.
Perfect location with a great Northumbrian beach just a few minutes walk from the house and with sunrises over Dunstanborough Castle visible from the bedroom. It was a nice touch to have a Christmas tree up and the kitchen was well equipped, enough even for doing our Christmas dinner with ease. Recommendations would be to have mirrors in every bathroom and an extra shower over the bath, however, the property was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely relaxing week.

Great Cottage☺
We had a very nice week long stay here. Lovely house and secure garden, reasonably well equipped and very child friendly....toys, high chair, cot, potty. Ideal location walking distance from Beadnell beach and a small playground right outside.
Only negative was black bin completely full when we arrived (think it's because no one had stayed the week before). And the table needs to be secured a little more.

Cowry Cottage
The property itself was excellent however I was disappointed not to find the BbQ which was listed. The description of 5 mins to the beach was obviously by car rather than on foot and the description of nearest shop, post office, pub and restaurant all being 300 yards was very misleading as all of the amenities were on the far side of a housing estate.
Had a lovely stay, only a short walk to the beach and the property was all that we needed. Great food at the craster arms which is only a 15 minute walk away
We loved our stay here. The accommodation is well equipped, fresh and airy that provides a calming atmosphere.
The property is practically on a beautiful beach. It’s close to so many local attractions.
The hoist was very easy to contact and responded to any query’s almost instantly.
We will definitely be back again
The cottage and location were great. The only recommendation would be to have a couple more mirrors as one is not enough and also 2 sets of keys would be helpful.
Easy access to beach and good walks a walk or short car ride away
The property is on a small housing development with short walk to cliff walks and beach. Small back garden to sit out. Well equipped in clean condition . Small field in front of house to exercise the dog.
Another relaxing, comfortable stay at Cowry Cottage.
Warm and all the comforts of home, that make an enjoyable stay. Secure rear garden fantastic for your pet.
Perfect location for a lovely little stay with the dog. The beach is just a stones throw away, what more could you ask for.
We stayed here last year and no doubt we will be back again next year 😁

Sea Views missing
Clean cared for war and comfortable.Sea views were only if you looked out at a corner of one bedroom.Very disappointed with that and really did not expect my holiday cottage to be in the middle of a housing estate.Still I love Northumberland and nothing can match the beaches
Seriously the beach is at the end of the road! Great location!
Everything you need is provided, except salt and pepper 😁
We loved our stay and would happily stay again if it hadn’t gone up by £92, such a shame.
Thank you for a great holiday
First of all the property. Very clean and modern. All the amenities that you'd expect from a modern property. Didn't really want for anything which meant for a relaxed approach to our holiday. Can't be doing with properties which have loads of issues which take the focus away from the holiday.
Second the location. Couldn't really be better. The beaches in the area are breathtaking and, in early September, virtually empty. Add in the fact that the Cheviot Hills are 45 minutes away and it doesn't get much better. Our Springador Jamie
loved every minute of it.
Breakfast at Roesmary's in Seahouses - excellent. Bacon buns - don't come much better than Sun Sea And Sandwiches, also in Seahouses. You have to take a boat trip around the Farne Islands - use Serenity. Really nice, knowledgeable guys. Bamburgh Castle is a must. For a shopping trip, try Morpeth. Fairly small town but 90% of the shops are independent. They've clearly bucked the trend for failing High Streets.
Can't wait to book next years trip!!

About the host

I'm a mum of two children who runs the cottage as a family home, it's warm and friendly and I'll try to accommodate people's requirements as best as I can. Being a mum I know what it's like to go on holiday with children so I've tried to include as many of the basic children's equipment as I can - cot, high chair, stair gates, bed guards etc etc. I can even provide a buggy if required!! Just ask and I'll see what I can do!
Why they chose this property
I'm passionate about the North East and think everyone should come and visit such a magnificent part of the country. I bought the house to provide a nice, clean and affordable place for people to stay and explore this beautiful area, I just hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
