Newly refurbished apartment on harbour front. Part of a former inn this property has a unique charm all of its own. This apartment has been fully refurbished to a high standard. It’s cosy and extremely comfortable. Easy walking distance to beaches, high street shopping, pubs, restaurants and local amenities. Short drive to the John Muir country park and the other beaches in East Lothian. An ideal base to explore the area. Edinburgh is only a 20 minute train journey to the city centre. The property benefits from unlimited free internet access. We have just installed super fast fibre optic internet which is brilliant for all your online needs. Parking is on street adjacent to the apartment and in bays on the harbour side which is literally 30 metres from the front door. All parking next to the apartment and indeed throughout Dunbar is free. Throughout the pandemic we have refunded everyone in full who has had to cancel due to COVID restrictions and will continue to do so. Since the start of the pandemic we have introduced advanced cleaning procedures and have extended the gaps between departures and arrivals to accommodate this. Our short term holiday let is licensed under the new legislation. License number EL00051F.

The flat suited our needs and we had an enjoyable week needing only to use the flat predominantly in the evenings and of course staying at night. The negatives for us were that we were staying from 22nd to 30th December yet there was absolutely no Christmas decorations at the property which was an absolute shame. the flat would have been a much cheerier place with even just a tree and lights! We found the sitting/living area a little bare - it could do with a rug on the floor. Additionally the property is behind the lovely cottage that you show on the picture of the property which was a little deceptive. We only make these comments so that the owner can perhaps take them on board for the future and stress that taken as a whole the flat was clean and warm it being December.
Good points: location, good standard furnishings etc., near local pub!
Not so good: long flight of stairs from bedrooms to bathroom, only brief details of articles provided eg hair dryer, some plugs difficult to use as blocked by carpet

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche mit traumhaften Wetter.Die Landschaft und das Meer einfach nur schön.
Auch ohne Auto gut zu erreichen.Stadt und Land nur eine halbe Stunde auseinander. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Bahnhof fußläufig. Das Haus ist sehr schön.
The apartment was exactly as described. It felt like home from the first moment we arrived. The location is incredible, right on the harbour and within a short walk to the town and shops. Morag is an excellent host who helped our trip to go very smoothly. We can’t wait to come back ! Jackie and Todd.
Had an amazing time, absolutely loved being right on the harbour. Apartment was so homely, had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable. We would love to visit again.

It’s a quality apartment as are everything in the apartment ie crockery bedding towels can’t think of anything else that would improve it

A lovely apartment with all of the amenities needed. Beautiful shoreline, cute little town, and quiet. It was everything that we had hoped for all the way from California.
The apartment is warm, cosy, quiet and in an ideal location - just walk over the road and the sea is there, while the shops on the high street are just a short walk in the opposite direction. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the bed is very comfortable. The only minor drawback is that there are no windows facing the seafront, but that’s all.
Lovely house, great location, weirdness with neighbors
Dunbar is a lovely harbor town that is perfect for exploring the John Muir way and beyond. The rental itself is perfect for two people, perhaps a stretch for more. We were a little alarmed when we received a message from the owner re: the downstairs neighbors to the effect that we should not use the washer after 5 p.m. It appears that the neighbors don't really care for the renters. Yikes! I don't want conflict on vacation. We walked in stocking feet as softly as we could so as not to ire them. Did we succeed? I'm not really sure because they always look a little grumpy. Despite this weirdness, we enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful stay. We loved staying within steps of the active harbor! Something always going on! Even a nice ceremony which included bagpipes for the 65th anniversary of the Sea Cadets. Everything was clean, comfortable. All the appliances worked fine. Convenient for doing our own cooking and laundry. The busy, main street of Dunbar was just a short walk up the hill. Getting to Edinburgh was a quick 25 minute train ride. Would definitely recommend this rental apartment.
Great wee place. Quite a few stairs so might not be suitable for everyone. Fabulous location right at harbour with spectacular sunsets. Would definitely return.
The apartment had everything we needed. After a day of adventuring you could count on a terrific sleep as the beds were so comfortable.
As it states, a unique apartment on the harbor. Out the front in the morning a lovely coffee stand while you watch the boats and birds.

A lovely spacious apartment. Well equipped and comfortable. Such a fabulous location. Close to the sea and beaches. Very close to bus connections and the station. Quiet at all times. We saw seals in the harbour and dolphins off the coast. We swam too it was sunny and warm.

We were very happy that Morags property was available for the dates required and would ABSOLUTELY choose it again. We chose it based initially off location as we're very familiar with the area. You are able to watch both sunrise and sunset as you step out the property onto the busy working harbour. Kittiwake cafe is available for morning coffees and snacks etc which is super handy. Bissets fresh caught seafood is open seasonally and just steps away on your doorstep.
Interior wise it was also a winner. Morags property is homely, spotlessly clean, both tastefully decorated and furnished, up to date esthetically and still manages to show off some obvious historical architecturel history within.
The beds are comfy with fresh white linen, large clean towels were also on hand. The heating is on a modern nest system and VERY easy to navigate if required.
1 very beautiful and extremely friendly local kitty will happily explore your accomodation so don't leave the main door open and unattended while unloading luggage lol.
The bathroom light tended to be somewhat temperemental. I would also maybe suggest some basic tea and coffee condiments to tie guests over after travels and arrival.

This was our second stay in this lovely apartment in Dunbar. It’s in a lovely spot very close to the Harbour just a stones throw away from lovely sea views. The aprtment itself is lovely - very cosy and warm with comfortable beds. The area is very peaceful but also loads to see and do in the surrounding area. We will definitely be back

Why they chose this property
We love getting away to the coast. There is always something different to watch down at the harbour. Strolling up to the nearby pub and restaurant for dinner then back down for a walk along the beach is hard to beat.
