Rooms with a view and a half!
We had a fantastic stay at the Boathouse. Amazing views up the creek and a lovely place to stay. All the rooms were large and beautifully kept. The bedrooms were all really comfortable and stylish. The location is perfect for getting around (especially if you're not a fan on tiny Cornish roads) with a great bus route if you don't want to park the car in Truro or Falmouth. One of the group hired a bike from Bissoe to cycle the trails coast to coast. There were plenty of games to keep a family entertained and the kitchen was really well equipped. The hosts were helpful and clear with instructions. Honestly can't recommend it enough.

Wonderful house in a beautiful location.
We had a fantastic stay at the Boathouse.and cannot wait to come back. The house is beautiful, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. We couldn't fault anything about the property or location and the owners were very helpful, if we needed advice or assistance. The beds are really comfortable and it was such a lovely place to completely unwind. There were lots of games and books, that the children enjoyed and they loved exploring the creek. The location is great for both the north and south coast beaches and there was plenty to do locally. The bike trails were amazing, miles of off-road family friendly trails, Our only complaint is that none of us wanted to leave!!

Why you should never book through VRBO
We have no problem with the property or owners. Our issues are entirely with VRBO as they give false information in their details describing the accommodation, such as detailing that there is a spa/hot tub and 3 bathrooms, when in fact, there is 1 bathroom, and 1 en suite shower room and 1 downstairs toilet. There is no spa or hot tub at all. We were all thoroughly dissapointed not to have the use of a hot tub and the washing facilities were not ideal for 8 people. This situation got so difficult for the owner as she tried so hard to resolve this problem while we were there, but eventually gave up and has now taken her property off your website. We have attempted to speak to one of your representatives on our return home, but it was conveniently disconnected. You keep sending us details of further holiday options for the future, but I cannot think of any reason why we or anybody else would wish to book through you, when you treat your clients so badly. It would be good to be able to discuss this further, but it would appear that the company are not willing to deal with any negative feedback regarding your lack of professionalism.

Superb Creekside Location
A really lovely home. Well provided with everything one needs. Fiona and David, our hosts, welcomed us with a delicious home baked cake, fresh flowers in every room and a bottle of wine. We explored, walked, cycled, kayaked, paddle boarded and swam, but most important of all, just relaxed and enjoyed the ever changing views of the creek. Frankly, we didn't want to leave!

A wonderful week by the water
We had such a lovely week at the Boathouse. The waterside location was just what we wanted. We were able to launch a small boat. Easy access to the creeks and the Pandora. Only 20 minutes by car to Perranporth and the North Coast for surfing and back for a BBQ by the water. House was clean with good facilities and very light. Outside space excellent for just chilling or more strenuous exercise. Very relaxing to watch the water birds and tide come in and out. A wonderful base for a memorable week!

Wonderful location for a restful holiday
Beautiful house, stunning views. Easy to reach other areas of Cornwall, but really there is no need to leave the property. Quiet, comfortable and directly on the Creek, so Kayaking possible every high tide. Hope to return again.

Great holiday
Really wonderful place to stay, so peaceful with awesome views from the deck. The children loved playing on the jetty and we all enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding. The cycle trail to Portreath is just on the doorstep too. Very spacious house for the 7 of us.

Fabulous home in a magical setting
this was our second time staying at the Boathouse. It is a perfect property for us as an extended family. Location and views are tremendous, we can kayak off the back of the property and the location is perfect for bodyboarding on the north coast, and exploring and kayaking on the south coast. Owners are very friendly, and want your holiday to be the best it can. House itself is well presented and fully equipped.

The Boat House is an amazing property !!
The location of the house is excellent and central to lots of places. The house itself is not like a holiday home, it feels more like you are staying in someone's actual home as there is everything there that you could ever need. The view from the house changes on a daily basis as the tide comes in and out and it is so peaceful and relaxing. The trampoline outside was a big hit with the kids who bounced all week long. We will definitely be looking to stay here again next year !!!!

The Boathouse in Devoran - A fabulous holiday home
The Boathouse is a great family retreat in a peaceful location overlooking the creek. We felt totally at home and relaxed during our stay here. The house is very spacious, light and airy with beautiful views from all the windows. The kitchen/diner is extremely well-equipped and separate laundry and store rooms are a great addition. The large lounge and snug room means that there is plenty of room for a large family to spread out! The whole house is clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The location is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall (being close to the A39) or just relaxing on the decking in the sunshine. The lovely local pub is a short walk away and serves good food. We had a wonderful holiday in Devoran and would highly recommend this property.

Lovely relaxing time. Fantastic views and great swims in the river in front of the house. Great kick around of football on the samphire pitch across the river. House very well catered didn't need anything that wasn't there. Nice local pub to walk to if you don't fancy cooking. Proper coffee machine much appreciated. would happily return.

Fantastic Place to stay
A great house in a gorgeous location. Stayed for a week and couldn't have been happier. The house has everything you need and is so bright and spacious. The kids loved the location and spend hours on the trampoline and around the waters edge. Owners were very helpful and communication was great. Couldn't have been better, highly recommended.

A Great Wedding Week at The Boathouse
We loved the Boathouse, its homey feel and fabulous views and it was so conveniently located for our sons wedding at the Devoran Quay. The house is spacious and bright with constantly changing views along the creek. It was very comfortable for our family of 8 plus baby, and we had a very relaxing time out and about taking in the local beaches and lovely coastal villages of .southern Cornwall.

We used to run the small boatyard here in Devoran. We bought the boatyard in 1999 and used to sit for hours on the piece of adjoining land with our tea dreaming of living on the creek. This was realised in 2006 and we haven't looked back. The children couldn't think of anywhere else to live. The house is always light and airy and the views are ever changing. Many a day gets lost just watching the birdlife and the children playing in the water or even the mud! When the tide is right up we have taken canoes and a rib up the estuary to Falmouth or to the Pandora Inn for a quick drink. This is our home for most of the year and so when we rent the house out guests always love the fact that the property feels homely with everything in it you could possibly need.
