We have stayed at this property three times now and have always found it to be warm and comfortable. The host is excellent and so helpful. The woodburning stove was just perfect this stay, due to the snow.

Cozy and Quiet

A very well kept Cottage. The location is private and has quick access to several nearby areas including Inverness, Beauly, and Loch Ness. Has all the amenities you need for either a short or long stay.

A wonderful, cozy cottage

We spent Christmas in Oak Cottage and it could not have been a more wonderful stay. Veronica was a communicative and helpful host from the get go and really went the extra mile by putting up some Christmas decorations up for us before we arrived. The cottage is just a little bit down the road from Beauly, so it's easy to get to as long as you have a car. The cottage itself is spacious and well-equipped with everything you'd need. You can also say hello to the animals on Veronica's croft which was an extra treat! We wouldn't hesitate to book Oak Cottage again next time we're in the area.

A Relaxing Stay

We spent 2 days at this property in the middle of our 2 week trip to Scotland. It was just what we needed as we were able to relax, cook some meals and still get out to see the sights in the area. The accommodation was very comfortable and did indeed feel like a home away from home. The friendly dogs and ponies were a great bonus!

Lovely cottage

This was a really great place. The owner is really nice and welcoming but not in your way. The property has ponies and very friendly dogs that you can interact with or not. The ponies enjoy carrots! The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. It’s a great central location for exploring the area. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage

Brilliant cottage with easy access from road and ample parking space. A spacious, well equipped cottage. A nice welcome from our host with fresh rolls and eggs in the kitchen. Perfect base for our weekend away.

Cozy cottage in perfect location.

We loved the cottage. It is perfectly situated to enjoy Inverness and drive around the loch. The place was clean, and we had everything we needed to cook. Plenty of hot water! We loved seeing the farm animals on the property.

Lovely place for a short break

Great cottage on a working farm and Veronica was lovely. There is a fenced area to walk the dogs away from the livestock although detached from the cottage. Thanks Veronica!

Hidden Gem

This place is incredible! We enjoyed having so much space and loved saying hi to all the animals each morning. It’s a perfect location for any traveling around Inverness or great place to just relax for a day. The house has everything we needed and more.

Wonderful place!

Our first time in Scotland and staying here for the first 2 nights was perfect! The cottage is well stocked to provide a feeling of home and Veronica's farm is a peaceful place. She suggested a visit to Glen Affric, which turned out to be one of the top experiences of our 2 week road trip through the Highlands. We all loved this place and highly recommend.

What a delightful hostess and VRBO

Everything was delightful. Very clean , well equipped, close enough to Beauly to be convenient. Thanks for the fresh farm eggs, bread, milk and for helping with dinner reservations. Oak Cottage is very roomy and perfect for our family.

Scotland vacation

We loved our stay & would definitely stay again. We enjoyed talking to Veronica. We also enjoyed interacting with the animals on the property. We would definitely recommend a stay here if you are in the Highlands. Beauly is lovely, and we liked being close to Loch Ness. The scenery in gorgeous!

Ideal for us as dog owners, Veronica had a high fenced pen that we could let our dog run around and answer the eary morning/ last thing at night call of nature in. House was clean , tidy and well equipped for day to day living, we will definitely have a return visit.

Home from home

Cosy, comfortable cottage with a lovely owner who left fresh milk, eggs & rolls on arrival. Beautiful Croft with animals in a lovely location & the cottage provides everything needed for a peaceful weekend away. Perfect for our Border collie who needed away from fireworks on bonfire night weekend.

Fabulous cottage

Clean and comfortable with every thing you would ever need at hand. Great area thats safe to run our dogs. Veronica was very friendly and welcoming, even leaving us her chickens fresh eggs & bread for breakfast

Everything You Need

Our stay at Oak cottage was warm and comfortable. Veronica is a good host! Always available with anything you might need but also respectful of visitor privacy. Fully equipped kitchen, wood burning stove and a laundry room, not just a wash machine in the kitchen. We enjoyed our week here.

I was born and grew up on the property where the cottage sits. The cottage is where the original family home was, it was rebuilt 10 years ago. It is a passion of mine to share this beautiful area with people from all over and let them see what the Highlands has to offer.

Animals are a large part of my life and are all part of the family, come and feed the lambs, horses, hens, ducks and geese.

Red squirrels and woodpeckers can be seen in the woods beside the cottage. You can walk freely around the wood and enjoy the peace and quiet.
