A beautiful cottage weekend
This is our second time staying here and it was just as good this time as last time. Peaceful, huge roaring fire, and beautiful scenery. Excellent location for exploring the Brecon Beacons

Trekfest Haven
We loved our stay at this cottage. Superbly hosted by Lise, we had everything we needed. It was the perfect haven after our charity walk and would highly recommend it.

The perfect new year break
4 adults 4 kids and 2 dogs all stayed for a lovely short break. The cottage was absolutely perfect. Fairy lights and Christmas tree was a lovely unexpected bonus. The kitchen diner and the lounge very comfortable and spacious and had everything you need. Bedrooms again were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Going out the back gate and up onto the hills and being able to walk for miles and not needing to use the car was the icing on the cake. Will definitely being coming back and I would have no reservations in recommending a trip.

Fantastic!
Eight of us stayed at Lise's cottage this weekend, and we had a brilliant time, starting off with a very warm and friendly welcome from Lise on the Friday evening. The cottage was perfect for us. Very good and spacious car parking which was handy as we had a large mini van. The cottage was very warm and cosy, and spotlessly clean and well maintained, and the layout of the rooms was great and user-friendly. Masses of hot water, and we loved the wood burner! The listing description was 100% accurate, and I would highly recommend the cottage to family and friends. We hope to able to come back to the Brecons for another walking weekend early next year and will certainly book with Lise again.

Ideal Family Cottage
The cottage was ideal for our family vacation. The setup was great for our extended family of 8. Lise welcomed us upon arrival & provided all the information we needed. The driveway was a little tricky but not too bad. The views & walks were all we could of hoped for. We would definitely recommend this cottage & return in a heart beat.

A beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings
We thoroughly enjoyed out 3 days in the cottage. It is beautifully decorated and homely, spacious and so well equipped. It was rather damp and cold when we first arrived and the wood burner in the living room was a real treat and very easy to light and use. On the last morning it was warm and sunny so we ate breakfast at the outside table. The views from the top of the hill behind the cottage are just stunning.

Lovely big rural cottage
Just back from a three night stay with three couples and a toddler. The cottage was great and there was loads of space for all of us. We loved the little extra touches such as flowers, wine and soaps The wifi also worked in the cottage! Our only issue was the adults having to keep the chatter and laughter down once the little one had gone to bed. Also great communication with Lise!

Great Accommodation
The cottage was absolutely lovely. The size was perfect for 6 adults two older teenagers a toddler and 4 dogs. Not once did we feel like we were under each others feet. The garden and walks from it were wonderful for the dogs. Ian and Lise provide everything you need for your stay so all you need to bring are yourselves, something to wear and eat for the week!!! They were also extremely helpful with anything extra we needed or any questions. Only negative was you need a little skill to negotiate the driveway but once you have been up a couple of times it gets easier. Also the televisions could probably could do with updating. That didn't matter to us as we were so busy going out or playing the plentiful supply of games we didn't watch it as much as some visitors might want to.

A beautiful place to stay
Booking was a breeze; emails were informative and any questions answered promptly. The property is fabulous; clean, well-maintained with attention to detail (e.g. the bedding looked brand new and soft fleece blankets were provided). The welcome we received was amazing. Ian and Lise treated us like friends and made sure we had everything we needed. We were made to feel so relaxed in the cottage. There were plenty of games to keep us occupied however the surroundings are so beautiful we spent a lot of time outdoors, where you can walk from the property. The views are incredible! I would 100% recommend this property; we hope to return in the not too distant future!!

Chilled out weekend
Gorgeous cottage with well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Loads of room for 7 people to stay. We were lucky to have fantastic weather and enjoyed relaxing in the garden with incredible views of Pen y fan and the surrounding hills. Already planning a return trip. Thank you

Amazing homely Christmas
We had our family Christmas here at the cottage and couldn't fault our stay or our hosts. We were welcomed by decorations and fairy lights, flowers, wine, Welsh cakes, chocolate, a tree with the decorations for our little ones to decorate. Lise even bought us extra pans in case we didn't have enough for Chrrstmas dinner. The woodburning stove was beautiful, perfect for those winter evenings, and the kitchen/diner was ideal for the whole family chatting and cooking. We will definitely be returning and look forward to seeing the sights in a different season!

A Perfect Cottage Getaway
We (6 Adults, 3 Dogs) loved the stay here. The views are amazing, theres some really nice walks on the doorstep, and the tranquility of the area is exactly what we were looking for. I am sure we will be returning in the future, and I would recommend anyone looking for a rural getaway to visit here.

Lovely property
Some friends and I were taking part in a local charity event and were looking for a base for the weekend. This cottage was perfect. It was in a very quiet location and was only a short drive from Brecon. The cottage was large, nicely furnished and very clean. The owners welcomed us on our arrival and had even left us some goodies. Will definitely return.

A getaway with real Welsh hospitality
Tucked away in the Brecon Beacons Llwyn Llwyd Cottage is a comfortable and well equipped cottage which is surprisingly large and with a self contained garden overlooking magnificent views. We were a family of 5 with a dog, and the owners who live nearby could not have made us more welcome - from the bottle of wine and Welsh Cakes on arrival, to the dog sitting/dog walking service whilst we were taking advantage of the Canyoning on offer at Pontneddfechan. The real wood burning stove became central to family board games in the evening, and one cannot tire of the endless views at your disposal when walking. We would definitely come here again.

Well equipped cottage in a stunning location.
This was our second stay with our dogs. The owners live nearby and are super helpful, even with dog sitting if needed. The cottage is so clean, comfortable and well equipped (in the kitchen and with family games and books) that it's a pleasure just to spend time here. Having said that the location, just a short drive from Brecon, puts you centrally for exploring the National Park. From Aberglasney Gardens and Carreg Cennen Castle in the West, the red kite feeding sation at Llanddeusant in the heart of the Beacons after which we were very lucky to see a group of the wild mountain ponies with foals, across to Hay on Wye and Llanthony Priory in the East. There are many opportunities for walking at all levels of experience, we particularly enjoyed the waterfall walk at Ysradfellte with the dogs. For eating out The Griffin at Felin Fach and The White Swan at LLanfrynach are our favourites. There is wi-fi now so we were able to check the weather forecast before we headed out each day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage to all our friends, doggy and non-doggy and I'm sure we'll be back next year.

Perfect
We stayed here as a group of friends for a birthday weekend, had a great time and found the cottage to be absolutely lovely. Would defiantly recommend it to friends or would stay again in the future. The owners were really friendly, and helped us to contact one of our party who we were worried about as she was running late. The rooms were lovely and clean, very conformtable, also really enjoyed the wood fire. It was lovely that our friend could bring his dog too.

Cosy Cottage with Stunning Views and Lovely Owners
The property is spacious, cosy and very well presented. Big communal areas made our stay very enjoyable and social. Large grass fields can be found all around and used for any kind of outdoor activities. On top of that, the owners are very kind and they gave us a very warm welcome. All in all, a great scape for anyone looking for either a weekend or full week away from city madness!

Comfort & quiet
The directions sent by email were very good and got us to the farm - the track up was quite steep with some large humps, so you need to go very slowly if you have a well-laden car. The wine, milk, and Welsh cakes were very welcome & we were soon met by Ian to show us around. The house was very comfortable for 6 walking gals, although we found the lounge a bit gloomy & preferred to sit in the "utility room" at the side during the day. The kitchen is well equipped & plentiful hot water and showers. You have to stand on the front porch for a telephone signal, and the week after we left there was work scheduled to instal wifi. There is lovely walking from the house and it is easy to get to the Brecon Beacons where we had wonderful weather. Lise also came across for a visit and was most welcoming - a great w/e in the country but with lots of comfort too.

A Great Location
we arrived to a very friendly greeting and had a wonderful week celebrating our golden wedding anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners . It was great to run the dogs up the hills behind the house. The house is lovely, extremely good value for money, have already recommended to friends. Very happy all round, thanks very much to Lise & Ian

llwyn llwyd holiday cottages half term 14
Our 3rd visit to the cottage. As always there were welsh cakes and wine waiting when we arrived. The flowers were also a lovely touch. The cottage is so well equipped we only need to bring ourselves and we are good to go. Extremely dog friendly with a huge secure back garden and a field and hill walk right outside the back gate. The bedrooms are so big and airy and have lovely linen and towels included. The 2 bathrooms are excellent with great powerful showers. The views are stunning and lise and Ian are always on hand to help you find the best place to eat or for extra dishwasher tablets. Brecon is 5 mins down the hill and has lovely walks and supermarkets etc but there are so many great places to visit nearby that it is a perfect place to stay in the Brecon Beacons. I am going to book next year before it gets booked. 5* home from home.

Stunning Cottage
Myself and 7 friends stayed here for a double birthday bash. The cottage met every expectation and more. The pictures really do not do the cottage justice. The cottage is very spacious, yet very warming. The scenic views are out of this world- We thoroughly enjoy our stay here for the weekend and will most definitely be returning. Massive thanks to Lise who was very accommodating- we were gutted to have to leave.
