Beautifully decorated 2 Bed Room Cottage With Use Of Private Tennis Court

Renovated to a very high standard in a tranquil village in the Cotswolds. The cottage has 2 bedrooms , bathroom plus a separate W.C . It has the use of a private tennis court and it's own parking. The village provides a well stocked shop and a new gastro pub has opened within a 3 minute walk of the cottage. There are many places of interest to visit locally including Oxford, Burford and Stow on the Wold. Ideal to explore or just enjoy the peace and quiet of the Cotswolds. There are many local walks to enjoy too.
We are also 10 mins from Diddly Squat Farm shop made popular by Clarkson's Farm!

Out in the Country

Close to local shops to buy groceries but very private. Very neat, clean and tidy. Main bed was very comfortable but one of the single bed mattresses was a little too hard and probably needs to be replaced. The hosts were gracious to lend us tennis rackets since we didn't have any (travelled from Australia). Overall we really enjoyed our stay in the Little White Cottage.

We loved staying at Little White Cottage

Little White Cottage was charming, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 1 teenager. It’s a wonderful location, absolutely enjoyed dinning at the Hare. Loved playing tennis and our hosts were so helpful supplying us with tennis rackets and balls, and they were very helpful in letting us know about places to visit nearby- we loved Blenheim Palace, Burford, and Bibury!

Een fijn huisje voor een ontspannen vakantie

Een net en gezellig ingericht huisje in de prachtige Cotswolds. Als gezin met 2 kinderen, 8 en 10 jaar oud, was dit perfect. Vlakbij is een goed speelveld, met speelmogelijkheden voor alle leeftijden. De nabijgelegen supermarkt heeft alle essentials. Fijn getennist! Een klein minpuntje, we hadden gedacht dat er ook een stuk tuin was waar de kinderen konden spelen bij het huisje, dat bleek niet zo te zijn. Gegeven het grote speelveld vlakbij was dit echter geen echt probleem.

The cottage is in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds and is in easy walking distance of the village with its excellent Pub ( The Hare ) and small supermarket.

Our weekend break at the little white cottage,

Loved the property. Plenty of the things we needed. Only downside was the fact the downstairs toilet hadn't had a good clean around the pipe work. And no broom to sweep up the leaves that were coming in. Personally I think a good lick of paint is now needed. The area itself was wonderful. And the local pub we have given 10 out of 10 for the Sunday dinner.

Comfortable cottage

Charlotte was a lovely host, and the cottage was more comfortable than I expected based on the photos. The quiet location was close enough to the towns we wanted to visit to be convenient and isolated enough from the hustle and bustle to infuse some delightful calm into our busy itinerary. Wish we’d had time for tennis!

Amazing Stay

The Little White Cottage was the perfect size for three people. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The cottage is clean, well-equipped, and in a quiet location. All the places of interests were a short drive away. The cottage also is a few-minutes stroll to the village. I would suggest going to The Hare for a pint or for dinner. Also, if you like tennis, bring your rackets and tennis balls to play on the private tennis court right outside the cottage. I would definitely return!

Charming cottage in one of England’s most picturesque areas.

The location allowed exploration of the many beauty spots and villages in the region. The cottage was serenely quiet with only the birds as company. The kitchen and bathroom were modern and well equipped with everything necessary for a short stay. The bed and linen were very comfortable. Our arrival would have felt more welcome if tea and coffee had been available. Covid is no longer really an excuse. The patio furniture was dilapidated and dirty but with new cushions. The heating programmed to leave the evenings uncomfortably cool. A wood stove required a journey to the local shop to buy logs but these were unavailable. A small problem with the hot water was fixed with dispatch and minimum fuss and the hostess was easily reached. A star feature was the local dining pub just a few minutes away and brimming with atmosphere.

Great place!

We had 2 nights in the property over half term. We went to various local towns, farms, etc, and had 2 great meals in the local pubs. The boys enjoyed the tennis court too. Clean and well looked after, could not ask for more!

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful stay. It was great to come back to after our long 18 mile walk and Charlotte was very accommodating when we requested to extend our check out time on Sunday. I highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in the Cotswolds.

Lovely autumn break in the Cotswolds

We have had a fabulous stay in the autumn sunshine. The cottage has been the perfect base for us, so cosy with the log burned. We had Sunday lunch at The Hare and used the Coop, both just a few minutes stroll. Definitely recommend.

Perfect Getaway

We had an excellent stay only muted by the queen’s funeral. In spite of this, we were able to make the best of a wonderful location. The accommodations were great, we were able to walk easily to the CoOp for groceries and everything we needed. The town was very walkable which made it easy for us to get around. Steve and Charlotte were great hosts.

Why they chose this property

We moved out of London about 6 years ago to have better quality of life with our family. We have not been disappointed! We love the local area and have become involved in many aspects of village life. It is far enough away from the crowds to have a peaceful recharge of the batteries yet easily accessible to places when we need a more urban fix! A trip to the cinema , shopping, museums etc are all within reach.

What makes this property unique

We love the way it offers so many different experiences whether we want to go for a walk in the beautiful countryside, off road mountain biking or a visit to a country pub. We can also go shopping in Cheltenham, visit the theatre and Ashmoleum Museum in Oxford or catch the train to London for a day trip. We love how everything is so easy yet also so different.

We can also have a game of tennis whenever the weather is fine... Summer or Winter and then sit by the log burner and recover! The cottage is extremely quiet and not overlooked and offers the perfect sanctuary or base to explore from.
