Typisch Cotswold
Smaakvol ingerichte verbouwde schuur met vriendelijke verhuurder. Mooie tuin. Helemaal compleet. De bedden zijn op zijn Engels smal. Fantastisch koffieapparaat aanwezig.

LONG BARN
A lovely small but perfectly formed barn in the Cotswolds. I must admit that the height of the front door was a shock for a tall guy, however the sitting room & bedrooms more than made up for it. The location in a small idyllic hamlet near Cirencester was excellent, & as both myself & my son are sports nuts Sky Sport was a real bonus. Charles was a gracious host, although a small guided tour would have been appreciated.

Self Catering at Duntisbourne Abbots
Overall we will have had a very relaxing week at the Long Barn. Beds were very comfortable with good quality linen. I won’t comment on the facilities that are missing as I knew this to be the case on booking. However I do think room is available for a fridge freezer if some unneeded furniture was removed. Our host Charles is very pleasant and accommodating. I think due to it being the end of the Summer season the property is due for a deep clean but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the Long Barn.

Beautiful barn
We had a fantastic stay at the long barn last week. The host, Charles, was full of useful information about the surrounding areas and the walks that could be taken and the places we could visit. There were several maps and instructions in the barn which could be used if Charles was not around. The barn was absolutely stunning and was lovely and clean. We had everything we needed and the quiet was absolute bliss! Thank you Charles for a fantastic stay, we all really enjoyed ourselves

So nice that we returned for a second stay!
We had such a nice time staying here last year that we decided to return for a second stay. Since last year our splendid host Charles has invested in new sofas and new floor in the bath room with additional upgrades to follow. That said, the cottage is so nice as it is with tasteful interior, an incredibly scenic location with several walks and a only short drive to many gardens and National Trust sites. We’ll very likely be back again. Thanks Charles!

A perfect trip to the countryside
Had a perfect stay in this delightful, tastefully decorated barn that felt like home for the week. We came with our two children aged 7 and 9 and it was perfect for them and the spiral staircase was no problem - outside they enjoyed playing games in the large garden and we enjoyed using the BBQ on two nights. Charles was a very friendly and helpful host who had many tips on the local area to share. The barn is situated in a very quiet and beautiful village; you really can unwind here although if you choose to go out and be active there is loads nearby like Cirencester, local lakes for swimming and waterparks and gorgeous Cotswolds towns. Would highly recommend and we hope to return again!

Walking, Touring, Visiting Family
This was an ideal base for our 'expedition' - walking part of the Cotswold Way, exploring places in the locality and visiting family in the area. It was a quiet and secluded property but with easy access to the places we wanted to visit. It was equipped with all that we needed and Charles was a hospitable and amenable host. We would happily recommend it to all adults.

A Blissful Retreat
I had such a wonderful stay in this beautiful converted barn. Charles is a superb host. The location is a blissful retreat in a picturesque cotswold village. There are many countryside walks from the doorstep. If you're looking for peace, beauty, and nature, this is the place for you! There are more horses and pheasants walking past the barn than cars! You won't regret staying here.

Peaceful retreat
We stayed for a week in the Long Barn hoping for a relaxing break in the glorious Cotswold countryside and we weren't disappointed. Staying in the Barn was a lovely experience with all the comforts of home. The Barn was very well equipped, including a good lounge area with large TV, everything you would need in the kitchen and charming bedrooms. The garden was a lovely spot to enjoy the evening sunshine. The location, in a very quiet and picturesque village, is a great base for visiting all the main places of interest in that part of the country. We were made to feel very welcome by our host, who made a point of ensuring we had everything we needed. We would have no hesitation in returning to the Long Barn.

Lovely barn in the Cotswolds
The barn is situated in a very idyllic, peaceful village. The building itself is cosy and beautifully furnished. Charles was welcoming and on hand for any queries. He was a great host and ensured we could use the garden and BBQ.

Ons verblijf in "The Long Barn".

About the host

I spent 4 years restoring it to the current condition. We have been amazed how well it has rented... 21 weeks last year and are pleasantly surprised by the positive comments and feedback to date. I think you will like it.

Why they chose this property

I bought Pound Cottage and The Long Barn in 1987 when my mother said it was the prettiest Cotswold Cottage and set of outbuildings she had even seen in one of the prettiest and quietest of hamlets of the Cotswold's. Well what could I do ..mother had spoken !

What makes this property unique

The Long Barn is situated near our house Pound Cottage in the quiet hamlet of Duntisbourne Abbots and really the very local area is simply stunning and very quiet despite the odd car or tractor. You can walk the local villages or hamlets and for the more adventurous there are well sign posted walks along rural footpaths. We use the Long Barn for our weekend guests occasionally and they all seem to relax in it and the lower garden and rarely want to leave.
