*Very spacious & awarded 'Certificate of Excellence' from Trip Advisor*
The cottage blends both period charm with modern day living and features (mostly) recently installed double glazed timber windows and full gas central heating. The deceptively spacious accommodation comprises a comfortable dual aspect sitting room with stove and original Victorian pine dresser, spacious dining room with large round dining table chairs, excellent size kitchen with feature brick floor and range of 'Habitat' units with solid wood work tops, splendid full-size Rangemaster cooker and large double American style fridge freezer, Hotpoint washer/dryer, microwave, main bedroom with distressed rustic style waxed bedroom furniture including king size bed, tallboy chest of drawers, double wardrobe, mirrors and bedside cabinets, Second bedroom features chic white decor with matching bedroom furniture. The bathroom benefits from a power shower over the extra wide bath. There are also flat screen TVs in the sitting room, dining room and main bedroom.

Ideal!
We had a wonderful week in Orange Grove. Excellent communications from owner with lots of extra information.
The cottage is spacious and cosy, in lovely location in the village. Lots in the area to explore. Would return again and highly recommend to anyone intending to stay.
The cottage was exceptionally clean and ell equipped. All amenities very close. Co op 20 yds ,pub 100yds. Great pubs/restaurants near by. Good base to explore Suffolk from.
We had a brilliant week at Eye. Really enjoyed the quiet, yet central location. Very well run village with lots of artisan food shops and beautiful walks. The Cottage is comfortable and specious with everything you need to have a great stay. Having the Co-op across the road is also brilliant.
We would thoroughly recommend this cottage - it's very well equipped, comfortable, and conveniently located in a pretty village. It's also in a good position for visiting various parts of Suffolk. The only issue we had that is worth considering when booking the cottage is parking. There is no dedicated parking and although previous tenants have apparently had no problem parking across the road from the cottage, we were not able to do this apart from once on the day we arrived. This wasn't a problem for us as we just parked around the corner, but might be an issue for some guests. This is the only reason we gave it 4 stars rather than 5.
Eye is a gorgeous location and the cottage is right in the middle of its most picturesque spot. There is a co-op just opposite (not noisey at all!) and the cottage itself is immaculately kept and like the tardis inside - deceptively big. Couldn't find a fault.
We rented this cottage as a base for a family wedding in the Eye area, and what a lovely place it was!
Really well decorated, clean and tidy with a well-appointed kitchen (including a nespresso machine for morning coffee!).
Although no dedicated parking we never had any problems finding a space on the side of the road (and there is a car-park nearby just I case).
Although there is no outside garden/space this wasn't a problem for us as we were busy with the wedding.
The cottage is ideally situated in Eye, with a small supermarket over the road and a short stroll to the centre, where there is an excellent café (Cafeye) and pub (Queens Head) - we ate in both and the food was great.
Overall a lovely property and would highly recommend :-)

Good base to explore Suffolk
The Cottage was clean and had a homely feel. The downstairs rooms were of good proportions. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom which appeared to have been refitted recently as it was in immaculate order and had a good power shower. The sink is only intended for washing hands and cleaning teeth and the lack of a plug was not really conducive for wet shaving. Three rolls of toilet tissue were provided which was thoughtful. We found the bed (in the main bedroom) to be rather on the firm side. Although we didn’t cook here, the kitchen seemed to have everything you need. Washing up liquid and brush were provided. Parking is on street and each time we managed to park almost opposite the cottage so no worries there. There is a small Co-op about 50 yards from the front door and another slightly larger Co-op in the centre of Eye which also boasts a fish and chip shop along with butchers, ironmongers, antique shop etc. Overall, a very good cottage for the price.

A wonderful property
Eye is a picturesque little village/town and the cottage is close to the centre. It has off-road parking, which was easy to find right outside the cottage, although there was a car-park close by. The actual cottage has been carefully extended and beautifully furnished, with an Ikea kitchen and a very tasteful bathroom and comfortable beds. Ii is hard to criticise the cottage but the only addition I would suggest would be a nest of coffee tables as there was no where to put your tea/coffee/wine/gin-and-tonic.
I would certainly recommend this cottage and it is certainly one of the nicest ones we've stayed in.

Beautiful Cottage
A beautiful cottage in a lovely location.
This cottage ticked all of the boxes.
The information pack was well thought out and contained everything you needed to know about the cottage and surrounding areas.
The easy secured access to the property is fantastic.... No need for worrying about losing keys!
We couldn't believe how spacious the cottage is, too big for just the two of us really.
The kitchen is fully equipped, the bed so comfy we didn't want to get up and we relaxed on the big sofa in front of the tv.
We had the most relaxing weekend and would highly recommend this cottage.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable well located accommodation
Cottage : Extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. Whilst we didn't actually stay indoors for long it was great to be able to come home in the evening to very comfortable sofa and chair, a lovely dining room if you wanted to eat indoors and a very roomy kitchen with a range cooker and an American fridge freezer. Bed very comfortable and bath & shower modern and again exceptionally clean. There isn't a garden but this didn't matter as we were out and about and one evening we walked up to the Castle and sat there watching the brilliant sunset. As there are plenty of windows to open it wasn't hot and stuffy.
Location - Easy to park on the road on the other side of the road but there is a car park behind the Coop which I wouldn't have hesitated to leave the car in if necessary. Eye is well serviced with a good range of shops within walking distance - Coop opposite, turn left and there is a good deli & cafe, turn right & a PO and general stores another Coop, florist & greengrocer, hairdresser butchers, hardware etc. Didn't eat in the pub but went for a drink and saw the huge portions of food all of which was devoured by the diners - there is a beer garden in the back. Eye itself is less than an hour from Framlingham, Southwold and Debenham all of which are worth a day out to. The day we went to Southwold there was a monsoon but we still had wonderful fish & chips on the 2nd restaurant on the pier and when we returned to Eye it hadn't even rained!!
Communication - very good, easy to get into the property as supplied with a personal code so no worry about having to be there for a specific change over time which was emailed prior to our arrive. Despite being away herself Sarah emailed to check everything was ok with her phone number and to liaise about our departure.
Would I stay again? - a definite Yes!

A great cottage for a pleasant visit.
A lovely cottage to base yourself for exploring Suffolk and the surrounds. Very clean and well appointed, a blind over the skylight in the master bedroom would be a good idea.
Other than that an excellent stay.

About the host
Hosted by sarah beesley
I live in Hertfordshire, England with my husband and two children. The cottage was refurbished as our second home and, as such, is fitted to an excellent standard. We bought the cottage after being frequent visitors to Eye for many years and used to spend much of our spare time there. My husband and I both work together in our family run business and sadly find that we have less and less spare time with the demands of our family and expanding business, so we've decided to let our cottage for others to enjoy it.
Why they chose this property
We've always loved Eye since our very first visit some twenty years back and it will always have a place deep in our hearts. We felt so at home in Suffolk that we even chose to get married in Eye some twelve years ago (despite all of our family and friends living in London and Herts). It's a fantastic base for exploring East Anglia and there are so very many interesting places to visit locally and further afield.
