Those looking for a traditional British pub will love "The Old Gate" in Brassington - about 5 miles away - roaring log fires, delicious pub food and really welcoming hosts. The Duncombe Arms at Ellastone is another favourite (about 25 mins away) - charming gastro pub with a great, buzzy atmosphere. The Red Lion at Hognaston serves delicious meals, too.
