My son and I stayed here so we could complete the three peaks having done Snowdon and Ben Nevis. It was a lovely place to stay with a busy friendly pub down the road. We had a couple of days and did a trip out more locally too.
Lovely location for walks and bike rides which we took full advantage of.
Local pub was fully booked at all times so could only drop in for a drink, so thankfully the kitchen was well stocked for self-catering.
Great communications from Caroline and a great stay overall.
The property is suitable for walkers who like discovering Langdale from doorstep . We stayed for a week and hardly used any transport . We could manage to walk from the house everywhere . The house is very comfortable, only problem was we did not have reception from the house and we had to pay extra for WiFi .
The house was comfortable and well-equipped with all necessities. A few minutes down the road there’s a small supermarket and a nice pub/restaurant. Great central location to explore the beautiful Lake District.

Nice property in excellent location.
a group of us stayed at this property whilst some of us did the great north swim for the 4th time. Previously we had stayed in Ambleside. This property is a little out of ambleside but is served by a good bus service and is in a lovely location. There is a little village shop a short walk away and a couple of pubs within easy walking distance. The property is well equipped and met our needs well.

birthday treat
I booked the cottage as a birthday treat for my mum. From the moment we arrived we had a lovely stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a lovely village with good amenities and friendly pub. We central for lots of places to visit including Keswick and winderemere. Amble side just down the road is a very lovely town probably my favourite. I would truly recommend the cottage as a place to stay

Why they chose this property
The location is just wonderful. Great views and friendly sheep come to nibble the grass. The village is so friendly I immediately felt at home
What makes this property unique
I love sitting on the terrace having morning coffee or a glass of chilled white wine in the evening after a day on the fells
