Pet Friendly Elevated Cottage-1 Block 2 Beach-Pool

Emerald Sea is located just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico, so you can stroll down and enjoy the beach, lounge in the sugar white sand, or catch a breathtaking sunset. Emerald Sea can be rented by itself or with the home behind it, Emerald Sol, for a two family or group vacation.

***Emerald Sea and Emerald Sol now offer a brand new private pool shared between both homes! The pool can be heated for an additional fee.***

This pet-friendly vacation rental home has been recently remodeled and is perfect for a beach vacation! The master bedroom features a luxurious king size bed, and the the second bedroom offers a twin over full bunk bed with a full trundle. The full bathroom has just recently been renovated as well. The living room also contains a queen sleeper sofa. French doors lead to a private patio, where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning and delight in the fresh air rolling in from the Gulf, which is only a short stroll away. This vacation rental home can easily accommodate up to 9 guests!

***Please note that while Emerald Sea is a private unit, the unit below is a long term rental.

Emerald Sol and Emerald Sea both have the same layout, contain a washer and dryer in each home, and share a private pool between the two homes. This is the perfect situation for a two family vacation or a beach getaway with a group of friends.

Beach access: Just across the street and a few minute walk from the rental, is a newly build beach access for your use! This beach access includes parking for vehicles, including golf cart parking and bike parking, with a large deck plaza leading down to the white sandy beach, an ADA accessible boardwalk/dune walkover, restroom facilities, and a picnic pavilion with dune walkover.

Nice Little Place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the second time we’ve stayed here (last in 2022). A very nice property. Note that you’re renting one of two houses on the property, and need to share the pool. So, if you have a good “neighbor”, you’re set. There’s also a tenant (apartment) downstairs, but they usually work and it’s quiet. Place does need some repairs, though they appear to be working on it. Tropical weather’s tough on properties. Owner just needs to take it off the rental market for a week, and knock everything out.

Great Location!

The property is a little outdated & wasn't fully up to my standards as far as cleanliness and comfort would go, but the proximity to the beach (the listing says a block, but realistically it’s like half a block and maybe a 4-minute walk), property management communication & private pool, shared with the neighboring house on the lot if there are tenants there, made up for it. As a group of 5 women traveling for a bachelorette trip, it was important we stayed in a safe neighborhood and felt safe at the listing and I can attest that this property felt secure. I’d definitely return!

Great location, basic accomdations.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed my month stay in Miramar Beach. Plan on returning to the "area" next year. The outside of Emerald Sea and Emerald Sol are shabby. In dire need of fresh paint and general cleanup. The couch is gross. I vacummed it 3 times and got a lot of dust and hair out of it but it was still very dirty. It should be replaced! Glass Casa Staff was great in responding to a few issues like the water heater failure/replacement during my stay.

Clean, very close to the beach which is what we loved the most...Pool is nice kids loved it.. The property needs a little updating but over all would come back and 100% recommend..

Jason did have to come and set us up to access our streaming service. Withou our own account the property has no tv access only streaming apps. In general the property is old and is pretty worn. Windows are plenty but you can’t see through the worn screens. Overall, the unit is quite basic but served our needs nicely.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrived at the house to find out it’s only the upper level of the rental. Was not aware of this when booking place. A local lives in the lower area. She was nice when we met. On the 4th her and her boyfriend used the pool area. It was clear they were drinking, not a problem until what happened later in the afternoon. Later that day they began fighting. This carried on through the night. The fight consisted of screaming and yelling, slamming doors. The next morning there was pizza floating in the pool, and dog feces in the pool area. I cleaned up the pizza in the pool and the dog feces. This was unsettling. We payed alot of money to stay in this house. We chose not to say anything during our stay worried we would be put in a more uncomfortable situation. With that said we did have a wonderful experience with The customer service. It was amazing. Would book with the company again but probably not the same house.

Great location, clean little apartment

Our family really enjoyed staying here. It was just a couple minutes walk to the beach, and located close to restaurants and things to do. The owners seemed very responsive and made themselves available for assistance via text (which I never needed during my stay). It wasn't a big place, but it did actually hold all 9 of us. The pool was nice and had a nice patio to lounge on. The balcony was also nice to relax on - no ocean view, but a surprising amount of foliage to look at which gave some nice seclusion from nearby units. Only knock was the internet wasn't very fast or reliable (didn't bother us adults, but the kids were annoyed). Also there were no things in the unit like salt and pepper and olive oil, so if you're planning on doing some cooking, you'll need to remember to pick up all of that.

I wish the house had was a outside shower to wash off the sand since the beach access on Geronimo st doesn't have one either. The kids tracked in sand to the house every time. The wifi didn't work the first 2 days then they sent someone out to fix it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was nice, clean and what we needed. We rented both houses so we had the pool all to ourselves. The renter below us was very sweet and helpful. She has two dogs, but they are sweet and we never heard them bark. The steps need some attention, there are raised nails and peeling paint, which makes it hard to walk up them without shoes. The door was very hard to lock and you had to make sure to pull it to make it shut all the way. The renters before us were apparently not tidy.... the pool area was dirty but the renter below me did clean it up and then I did some additional cleaning. They are in a great location, with the beach a block away. Once the public beach access is finished it will make these houses have better beach access. We loved the covered parking as well. (that is actually for the yellow house, but we only had 1 car since 1/2 of our family flew in) The share shed is awesome! We enjoyed using the floats in the pool and the umbrellas. We used the grills and that was very convenient. If we go back to this area we will definitely rent both these houses again. Having the WIFI information in the unit would be helpful, but I just sent a quick text and the info was sent back right away.

The location of the property is excellent! The house needs some TLC… A guy lives in the unit downstairs and he’s super nice. Friday night we could hear his dogs barking a lot but it was just that night of the entire week we stayed.

Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay, only problems were the house beside echoes when people are outside, playing music, seemed to be dog hair all over the floor, floors are painted wood so they never felt clean. Kitchen isn’t fully stocked so that made it difficult, light was out in one bedroom so kids couldn’t really play in there. The live-in guy is INCREDIBLY nice & helpful! Pool is AMAZING and great for kids to play in & house is SO close to beach! I was so impressed! We would stay here again but plan to bring a little more this next time!

Great Stay, Property Needs Improvement.

The property location is great, close to the beach, activities and shopping. Would have been nice if we could have interfaced with the property owner about some discrepancies that could improve the guests stay. Also, some pictures of the property needs to be updated as it does not reflect the accuracy of what is presented. Guests need to know that they will be staying on the second level as the bottom level is occupied by a long term resident. People with disabilities may have issues going up the stairs. The pool pictured is a shared pool with another rental on the property. This may be an issue for those wanting a private pool. It would help if there were instructions identifying the light switches and their location. The kitchen needs a frying pan. We had to buy one so we could make our breakfast. The wi-fi definitely needs improvement, we could not use it as service was down majority of the time. On the outside, the property owner needs to pour a slab from the pool gate to the stairway steps so guests won't get sand/dirt on the footwear and track it into the house. Except for the discrepancies, we enjoyed our stay at the property.

Great location, perfect for our family

This house is in a great location and the pool was perfect. We rented both houses with another family so the pool was truly private. There is a “share shed” that has all sorts of beach toys, boogie boards, etc that other guests have left behind which was a nice surprise. The resident below (Douglas) was very friendly and helpful with local info. Overall, a great rental house for a small group.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved the convenience of the proximity to the beach and also having access to a clean and warm private pool. However, there are several updates that need to be made (to the property and the provided vrbo pictures/ information) to represent accuracy, because they both need updating. Firstly, there is no parking spot available, I had to call and find out where to park and was told to park in the dirt uneven alley alongside the house. Please update this information to avoid confusion. The tenet downstairs was very nice and courteous. My biggest concerns were the rotten wood steps with chipped paint that seemed hazardous especially when wet. Also, the front door only shuts when you lock the deadbolt... you can literally push the door open with no effort. Having 2 small children, 1 with a disability, I honestly found this unacceptable. Please do maintenance on this property. Previous reviewers have said it countlessly with no avail. Overall, the rooms were clean. The couch needs replacing or at least a couch cover.
