Breathtaking view!!
We have just spent 2 weeks at Boskenna, having stayed at the same house twice before, and it continues to be a fantastic base in which to explore and enjoy the rugged North coast of Cornwall and beyond. A beautiful, quiet position in a private road with a view that never ceases to inspire and amaze and perfectly located between Tintagel and Boscastle. The layout is largely open plan with plenty of room for 10 people to spend time together or find their own quiet space if necessary. Great service from all at Cornish Seaview Cottages and all the staff we were fortunate enough to meet at various times through our time at the property. Would not hesitate to return - and most probably will in the near future!

Large house with superb views towards the sea ideal for walkers, easy parking for 3 cars
The open plan kitchen/dining/ lounge area means there are great sea views from all areas. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of empty cupboards to store provisions and a good size frig/freezer and plenty of good equipment. Upstairs there is a double master bedroom and a twin room and a shared bathroom. There's a double and a twin room and a bunk room on the ground floor with another bathroom with separate toilet. The walk from the generous parking area at the front of the house, has some deep steps and is an upward slope which needs care when wet and there's no hand rail. The ground floor area was very warm but the first floor had none when we arrived but an engineer arrived promptly and enabled some heat to reach the upstairs rooms. Neither of the bathrooms had any grab rails in the shower area so the less able must be cautious. We were a group of 7 so did not use the bunk room, the rad. in there was not working. The patio is delightful with 2 good tables and plenty of comfortable seating plus a panoramic view of the sea and rugged coast line. There is easy access to the coastal path through a camping sight on the opposite side of the road and we found the bus service is good to Bude and Tintagel and Wadebridge. So helpful to have a large hallway with a bench to sit on for booting up and plenty of hanging space for wet garments. We put down some protective sheeting to prevent muddy boots from marking the carpet. This user friendly house is perfect for walkers and it seats 10 round the table very comfortably. Some kitchen scissors and a small paring knife would be a useful addition.

Boskenna, Tintagel
My family and I had a wonderful and magical time during our stay at Boskenna. We have all fallen in love with Tintagel and the surrounding area of north Cornwall. We won the first prize gift, of a holiday at Boskenna, in the Christmas raffle at Woodlands Care Home. After many visits to my dear dad, Peter Smith, sadly, passed away on Christmas morning. I was privileged to be with him to the end, he was so brave. Peter, was a big character at Woodlands, he played amazing piano for his fellow residents while he was there. During our visit to Boskenna, I felt blessed to feel that somehow my father made the holiday possible. The amazing sea view and sunny Autumnal weather really helped. The clarity of the night sky was amazing, culminating with a shooting star. We did visit the waterfall, also Merlins Cave. Thank you for such a fantastic holiday. Best regards Debbie Ness

Great family house
Boskenna is a great house for a large family or group of people with plenty of space and all the appliances you would need. It has stunning sea views and a lovely decked area to enjoy them from. Plenty of room for dogs to run around in the garden and walks nearby. Some aspects of the house are in need of updating or replacing. Most of the bedrooms are spacious but the beds in the twin rooms cannot be pushed together because of the shape of the rooms and the floors upstairs are uneven in places. There is ample parking for 3 cars but the path to the house is quite steep with steps, so not really suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. The house is in a quiet location with other houses nearby but you need to drive the short distance to the town and amenities as there is not a pavement along all of the road.

Lovely family stay
Great place for our family including the dogs. Plenty of room for everyone, very well equipped, except no dustpan and brush, a very minor issue. Outside table was very wobbly and one leg had rusted through which we reported and had to put it against the fence for stability. Hope it gets sorted out as it would have been nice to sit around the table outside. Again a minor issue really, would not put me off staying there again. Lovely home, lovely views, great location, clean and comfy.

Family seaside holiday
We were a three generation family holidaying together to celebrate a significant birthday and our ages spread from 74 to 4 years. Boskenna suited all our needs, it was well equipped and comfortable and well situated for beach visits, good walks and places of interest. Our week was blessed with incredible weather which was too hot for some of us and the only need that was not catered for was sun shade on the patio, a parasol would have made our stay just perfect, just a small comment! Thank you Boskenna for a great holiday, worth a repeat! Joan from Kent

Comfortable family house.
We were a 3 generation family, age range from 74 to 4 years. Boskenna was a comfortable and well equipped house for cooking at home, plus a barbeque. The only need that was not met was sun cover, a large parasol would have been very handy! Good choice of beaches easily reached by car as walking would have been difficult with small people. Certainly would go again.

Stunning view
Boskenna is a lovely comfortable house overlooking the bay, what a view to wake up to. The house is well situated to explore the local area, Tintagel and its castle and Boscastle both within walking distance. The coastal path is easily accessible with amazing views. The kitchen is well equipped and all appliances functional, lots of large coking pots making preparing family meals less arduous. The house has lots of space to accommodate our family party of three generations. There is table tennis housed in the outside shed which was brilliant for entertaining all the family. The outside terrace was fantastic for sitting out enjoying the view and a drink or two.

Beautiful view
The house was everything we needed for a comfortable stay with three generations of our family. The kitchen was well equipped and appliances all functional. Perfectly situated to explore the area. It’s a short distance to Boscastle and Tintagel Castle. The Coastal Path is easily accessible and enjoyable. On top of all that the weather was good too!

Great holiday bolt-hole with amazing sea views
The house is in a fantastic location, the views from the terrace were incredibly. Good sized rooms, great amenities, lovely living spaces and a free Cornish cream tea provided! Would recommend bringing basics with you for a longer stay - toilet roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets - as the provisions provided only last for a a few days.

Perfect, spacious house for extended family holiday
Boskenna was the perfect base for our four-generations (seven adults, one child) family holiday at Easter. The house was very clean and well equipped – with plenty of large pans for cooking! The large open plan kitchen / dining / living room allowed everyone to join in whether we were cooking, washing up, reading, relaxing or playing a game without it feeling crowded. The patio and garden are a real bonus – it was lovely to sit outside with a pre-dinner drink. The views across Bossiney Bay are spectacular and we saw some amazing sunsets – and some of us walked to the beach from the house; other walked up to St Nectan’s Glen. The bedrooms are all a good size, nicely decorated with comfortable beds and plenty of storage and coat hangers. It’s location just off the main Tintagel to Boscastle road means it is ideally placed for getting to both villages, the coast (some great walks along the coastal path, though not for the faint-hearted!) and for venturing further afield to Port Isaac and Padstow. The All in all, its definitely one of the best holiday homes we have rented.

Spacious holiday home
Boskenna is a very spacious chalet bungalow, generally well equipped and with lots of storage facilities. The main bedroom could well have housed two more single beds. There are lovely views of the sea from most of the rooms. Although advertised with 3 parking spaces, we quite comfortably fitted 4 cars in the front. It is a shame there is no wash hand basin in the downstairs cloakroom as you then have to go next door to the bathroom. The crockery is perhaps one of the only weak points being a very mixed bag although the cutlery is also only just sufficient for ten people. These are just very minor points however and overall the accommodation is very good albeit slightly dated in places. We would certainly visit again. .

Some issues need resolving quickly. Cleaning not to a high standard
A few issues with regard to cleanliness., Couldn't get in to house until 5pm because of Covid cleaning. Cobwebs found in upstairs king size bedroom plus dead wasps so no proper clean done. Under cushions on sofas never been cleaned crumbs/dirt. Dated decor ripped lino in kitchen. Stairs not child friendly stairs as our two year old climbed through side. Kitchen could do with update as wear and tear very obvious. Oven did not work so we had to eat out for three nights until replacement fitted then house smelt of burning , not great with a 4 month old so we stayed upstairs.

Great location and spectacular views
The property is in a fantastic location with the most amazing views for the patio and sea view bedrooms. The space is large which is great for a family. The kitchen has lots of utensils, so you do not need to wait for the dishwasher to finish and unload. The bedding is lovely and comfortable. I would bring cards and games for those rainy days as the property does not have any but this might be due to CV19 restrictions. The outside patios could do with a spruce up.. unfortunately the outside table was broken with no glass top, the house keeper explained a new one was on order however that didn’t help us as we could not eat outside. There are no loungers for outdoor sunbathing as listed. The garden is great for the dogs and I didn’t worry that they would escape, however the gate latch doesn’t auto click and therefore needs to be checked that it’s closed. The inside of the property was clean, but quite outdated especially the bathrooms which could do with new shower screen and blinds that are slightly worn./ mouldy in places. The sofas were on unfortunately stained in places (looked like children’s greasy fingers) so we put our own Throws over them The location and the views do make up for it and we did have a plea sent stay, but a few things could be improved to make it all a little more homely.

Will come again
Lovely views of the sea. Very clean and spacious accommodation although a few small repairs required here and there. Located literally round the corner from the parking for st nectans glen, near rocky valley and Tintagel castle/merlins cave about 1-2 miles away. Had a fabulous time even with horrible weather with a group whose age ranges were from 3 years old to mid 50’s. Even the 3 year old managed the walks with the assistance of reins and daddy’s shoulders. Will definitely be looking to return.
