Enjoy a fabulous Mediterranean holiday with family or friends in our light, spacious villa just minutes from the centre of the historic seaside town of Collioure.
Sip a glass of chilled local wine on one of the house's two spectacular terraces, overlooking the sea or the hills, or enjoy a cool swim in the pool, surrounded by bougainvillea in the secluded, enclosed garden.
Our villa is in a peaceful location, but just a 6 minute walk from Collioure's stunning beaches, restaurants and galleries.
The three double bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and the two twins, both of which have French doors leading onto the garden, share a large bathroom. All the bedrooms have air conditioning and heating. Bathrooms are all decorated in clean, modern style and contain contemporary fittings.
The light, airy main reception room is furnished with two comfortable sofas and Eames armchairs. The room leads on to an enormous terrace with panoramic views of the sea and the Chateau Royal. A large modular sofa and a dining table that seats up to 10 people mean this terrace is a main focal point of summer days.
As keen cooks we have ensured that the modern kitchen is equipped to a high standard - we love creating delicious meals with the abundant local ingredients.
The downstairs sitting room runs the length of the house and features a huge modular sofa, a Smart TV and a full-size table football table. It's a great chill zone for kids and teenagers.
The garden is Mediterranean-style, filled with the vivid colours of bougainvillea and plumbago. The aqua-coloured pool (11 metres) has an electronic safety cover. The garden also contains a table tennis table and enough space for a fun game of petanque. Both a wood-fired and gas barbecue/ plancha mean there are plenty of options for outdoor cooking.
A second terrace to the rear of the house, with table and corner sofa, means that on windy days guests can enjoy a meal or a game of cards whilst taking in the views of the vineyards and the Fort St Elme.
The property is located in a quiet residential area, and guests are provided with a key to a special shortcut which takes you to the gorgeous beaches and restaurants on the historic town centre in just 6 minutes by foot. We will give you a great list of our favourite restaurants, markets, galleries and walks so that you can get away from the tourists and enjoy living "like a local".
Collioure is a beautiful fishing village at the foot of the Alberes mountains and just a few miles from the Spanish border. Its medieval church tower, fort and narrow, bougainvillea-clad streets, as well as the pinky hue of the sky and sea, made it a haunt for artists such as Matisse and Derain. The Templiers bar, with its walls covered in oil paintings, remains just as it was in their day, and evenings can be spent there or at one of the beach bars, drinking Banyuls and then going on to one of the wonderful Catalan restaurants in the town. There are no fewer than 6, very safe, beaches in the town with fabulous protected swimming areas and then a short drive away there are more beaches with plenty of water sports on offer. Excellent walking routes and bike rides are just minutes away in the Alberes.
It's also easy to visit the lovely market town of Ceret (a favourite of Picasso), the fishing port of Port Vendres, the long white sands of Argeles, or go across the border to Cadaques, Figueres, Girona and the Costa Brava.
In all, there is a lot of fun to be had, whatever season you visit
