Stayed over the Christmas period and the cottage was perfect. Lovely roaring fire, well equipped and perfectly situated for the lelant beach and coastal path. A perfect escape for a family Christmas.

Lovely house
This is a lovely house, which provided a relaxing base for our holiday. The garden is a delight. I particularly liked sitting at the bottom with a coffee. A haven from the bustle of the children. They loved the pool table in the conservatory. A tv in here would be a welcome addition to keep them entertained. However, there was plenty of room for everyone in the living room.
The house is close to the train station making journeys to carbis bay and st Ives hassle free. Although a short walk, this is along a busy road with limited path space. It is easier to drive down and park at the station. The cafe by the station provides crusty bread, milk and eggs locally, although the supermarkets are not far away. Even though we did not have the best of weather, this home from home made our rainy days comfortable and enjoyable.

A lovely relaxing holiday in a great cottage. Comfortable, handy for sightseeing and beaches and all mod cons. Lovely to sit in the sun on the terrace for breakfast in the morning.

Lovely comfortable cottage
We had a wonderful stay at Rosedale Cottage, loved everything about it, fresh flowers when we arrived and spotlessly clean, so full of interesting things from the pictures to the little cupboards with toys and puzzles. The garden was beautiful with lovely views out over the saltings. Could easily walk to the station to catch the train into St Ives, although we preferred Hayle beaches. Our week went too quickly, I would love to go back sometime and would recommend to anyone. Erica W

Beautiful, charming and exactly what we wanted.
What a wonderful place to stay!
Everything you needed and more!
The location was perfect with good transport links and the local pub was very convenient with friendly staff.
We were looking for quaint and we were not disappointed. The gardens were beautiful and we spent a few evenings just enjoying the peace with a glass or two of wine.
I would definitely return to Rosedale.
Thank you Scott for keeping in touch beforehand we all loved the house.

Home from Home
Lovely property, excellent location and spacious but with a warm welcoming feel. Views were beautiful in the morning and set just off the rail station and walking path to Carbis Bay and St Ives. Will certainly be returning but maybe in the spring/summer time to catch some warmer weather.

Charming cottage
The cottage was a delightful combination of rustic and modern in a beautiful setting overlooking the Hayle estuary.
We liked the fact we were able to walk, drive or take the nearby train into St Ives and the cottage being in a convenient location within walking distance to nearby pubs and the shops were certainly positive aspects.
As this is the first time we have visited Cornwall we were also very pleased to be offered some advice and information from the owner, who sent us some useful websites and numbers to help plan our stay.
We had a mixture of weather so spent some time in the property and found it to be very homely. All in all a very nice vacation and will certainly returning.

We have three children ages 13, 9 & 7. The girls loved the cottage. The pool table in the conservatory was a real bonus and we had regular tournaments. The cottage is hidden away in a secluded spot with lovely views to the rear. There are gorgeous beaches just a walk away and the scenic train into St Ives is a joy (and much easier than trying to park at St Ives).
A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We would definitely book again .

A lovely home from home
Rosedale cottage is pretty period home in by the quiet Hayle Estuary and yet a short train ride into lively St Ives. We stayed with our 3 children, who particularly enjoyed the pool table and reading and sewing on the benches by the period windows. The owner and housekeeper are very nice. The cottage has a useful parking space and we were happy to just leave the car there all week and use the nearby regular train service which is only 10 minutes to St Ives.

Convenient, quiet home from home!
Lovely house, very well equiped with all the comforts of your own home and more. Both the owner and the manager provided excellent customer service, and were prompt in answering any queries or problems.
The house was immaculately clean and well maintained. It felt like a house which is loved! Traditionally furnished, with lovely thick carpets in all the main rooms, the two main (double) bedrooms overlooked the back garden and the third (very small) bedroom looked to the side of the house. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the main attraction for us was the fabulous sunroom/orangery on the side of the house which had a leather sofa and a pool table in it..an boon for us and the offspring!
The garden was beautiful too with good quality garden furniture to while away a sunny afternoon on.
The location was very convenient, down a narrow side lane, just off the main and very busy road to St Ives, although the location of the house meant we weren't troubled by road noise even in the garden.
It was a short walk along the said road to a pub one way, and a restaurant/bistro or pub the other. We also found another very good pub/restaurant a 10 minute drive away (all of these were dog friendly too)
There was a walk along the back lane with lovely views over the estuary to either the beach (about 15 minutes walk) or the Lelant station to St Ives or the nearest pub or restaurant/bistro.
The only slight drawback was there wasn't a shop in Lelant itself (we didn't find one anyway) but there are large supermarkets on the outskirts of St Ives and Hayle 5-10 minutes by car so it wasn't a problem..and we would have probably used a car to get shopping in anyway!
There is plenty to do in the area, fabulous beaches, St Ives which is a must, fantastic views and walking, and even Minack isn't too far to visit (a must, and try to see a performance..amazing!)
Plenty of eating places in the area and opportunities to do horse riding, surfing, cycling and many other sports.
All in all a quality holiday let to stay in which feels like a real home.

amazing high quality family holiday home
We had a fantastic family staying here. It us so comfortable and spacious with mod cons. The garden is great for family tine and evening meals. Great location for brilliant local beaches, St Ives and surrounding tourist spots. Safe secure and good parking. We cant fault it and would stay again in the drop of a hat. Scott, the owner is very helpful. FO it, book it you will not regret it.

Convenient Peaceful Accomodation
Our stay at Rosedale was very enjoyable and found the house spacious
It is within walking distance of two pubs that serve food , one uphill and one downhill along with nearby bus stop for a 10 min bus ride into st Ives, the train station is also within walking distance (approx 10-15 mins downhill) for a scenic route into St Ives.
Coastal walk into st Ives was easy to find and Porth Kidney beach was only a 10 min walk away or a bit longer if going at a slower pace.
The house had everything we needed for the week we stayed and very easily slipped into thinking we actually lived there.
All in all a very enjoyable stay.

The owner is an upstanding, caring, fun loving individual from Liverpool. With a large family and a love of his children. His early adult vacations were spent along the North Cornish coast, specifically holidaying around St. Ives in all forms of accomodation.
A passion for this rugged coastline, beautiful colours and light, excellent beaches and endearing to the warm and happy locals in Cornwall.
An approachable and affable individual with a zest for life he asks that you enjoy the character and charm of Rosedale.
HE wishes to retain Rosedale for his children and his grandchildren for many years to come and would hope you care for this abode as though it was your own.
Why they chose this property
Happy memories of this wonderful county and its local people always draws me back. I decided I should become a `sort of local` with a desire to settle once my work is done in other places.
A man who has a real passion for warm and thoughtful people who has a passion for this area in England. Its truly beautiful yet rugged and full of the dynamics that come with the changing seasons. With those seasons come the changing light, the changing colours of the ocean and the sky.
A place where children will enjoy whether its flying a kite on a beach or bathing in the cool, clear refreshing north Atlantic waters.
What more to you need to be drawn to this gem in England
