Highly recommend The Old Country Chapel
We had a wonderful stay at The Old Country Chapel! Despite the poor weather, the spacious indoor areas made all the difference. The games room, with its foosball table, pool table, magnetic dartboard, and games machines, was a big hit, especially with the three teenagers in our group. The property was perfect for two families, with plenty of room for everyone to relax. Highly recommended and would happily stay again!

Weekend away with friends
We had a lovely weekend with our friends, 2 families getting together, my 8 year old loved playing in the very large garden and we all loved the games room, plenty of things to keep us all happy! The kitchen facilities are great and had everything we needed! The rooms are really big and the teenagers enjoyed having TVs in their rooms, massive selection of DVDs. We have already said we will visit again :)

Best birthday gift from my girlfriend
The house was clean and well organised. The games room garage was well stocked with different equipment and very well put together. The garden was huge and well maintained. Generally a very nice place to stay for the weekend and the beds were comfortable enough for a relaxing weekend away. My only negative comment would be the lack of basic kitchen items, such as cooking oil and kitchen towels/cloths, which I would consider essentials for a kitchen as we were only there for the weekend and didn't think we'd need to buy our own cooking oil, which was was an issue the first morning cooking breakfast in dry pans. Overall we had a great time here and was very comfortable for the weekend.

Great spot, pictures don't do it justice.
Lovely property, extensive gardens. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of living and dining areas, they were larger than the images would lead you to believe. Also, the garden is massive, suspect it would be great for energetic kids!

Beautiful property & location
Really enjoyed our stay. We wanted somewhere to chill for a couple of days. This property was perfect. Evenings watching DVDs or playing in the games room and a walk along Hadriens wall & countryside.

Old Chapel
Property was very nice and exceeded all our expectations. It was the nicest and the best vacation rental we have ever had. The country around the area is absolutely beautiful. We spent the entire week in the area around the wall except for one day traveling to Glasgow, one day traveling to Edinburgh and one afternoon at our son's wedding in Gretna. jpc

Great family home
Great location in reach of nice pubs and walks. Large garden for children and adults alike to enjoy, great pool table in the garage games room, expansive DVD collection for all ages, host was easy to contact and available. Well equipped kitchen for self-catering when consecutive pub lunches get too much. Very happy with our stay, would highly recommend to others.

Fabulous family holiday
A long overdue & rescheduled family holiday! House was great with everything you could possibly need available in the house. Garden was too large (not a complaint at all) for us as we had small children with us but it did make for a great Easter Egg hunt. Even though it was quieter than expected it really worked well for us not having a pub, shop or tea room to be constantly popping out to. Proper switch off time! Do your research, there are lots of unexpected treats a within a 20/30 min drive! Highlights for us included stumbling across the ‘centre of Britain’ stone in Haltwhistle, making the trek out to Sycamore Gap, Solway Aviation Museum AND having fresh eggs & honey right over the road!! Not forgetting the many parts of Hadrian’s Wall ☺️ Altogether wonderful thank you x

Christmas at The Chapel
5 adults and four children had 4 excellent days here over Christmas. A few niggles which are common in a high use rental property but these did not affect our stay. Owner advised so hopefully will put right. The accommodation was great and the house is an excellent space for family and friends to gather. The garage has been turned into a games area and the garden is huge. In the summer it will be a wonderful place for all. There are even various pairs of wellies to borrow. Our children made good use of the games room which gave the adults time to breathe. Facilities for cooking, washing and eating were excellent. The wine cooler was a nice extra but maybe a second fridge (under worktop) would be more beneficial. Two freezers was also a bonus. Large oven dealt with all our needs. TV’s in every bedroom, large one in lounge. A dvd library, approx 700 and also extensive cd collection. Excellent beds and bedding. Did I mention the lounge!!! This space is wonderful. Large sofas and a wood burner, with endless supply of logs. The central heating and under floor heating also kept us warm. All in all an excellent few days away. Go for it!

Good sized property, with good facilities
It is a good house for a family holiday. 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 good sized bathrooms, plenty of space downstairs, including good size kitchen, dining area and lounge. Additionally, there is a very good play room with pool table and other games, not to mention an excellent garden to allow plenty of family ball games. This property could be a 5 star, and will be once small things are rectified. It would be 9/10, or 4.5 stars if possible to put in. We found that the house was pretty clean, but there were a number of things (such as glasses that needed cleaning). In the end we gave much of the cutlery, plates and glasses a clean before using. The main area to be resolved is to get some of the older items updated, such as the cooker (which was partially functioning) and things like the slow draining bath in the en-suite. The bathrooms are big, but there is no furniture to put toothbrushes and washbag in. We had to put this all on the floor. What was great was the provision of items such as dishwasher tablets and washing machine liquid. All in all highly recommend. The house is a great size, mainly clean, well stocked with plates, glasses, cups and seems to have all items you might need. Finally, Bev and Steve appear to be a really nice couple, who took and made calls as required. We would stay again.

Wow factor, despite the rain
It shouldn’t rain that much at the end of August, but the property protects you against it with a wow factor of great indoor and outdoor spaces, a roaring log fire and a games room to die for. The garden is amazing, with fruit trees, a babbling brook, summer house and to walk around it would be plenty exercise for most teenagers. The garage games room has everything up you need to keep the kids (and adults) entertained. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dvd/cd collection supplements the TVs in each bedroom and large one with Netflix etc in the large living room. A very happy time helped by a great property

It was nice to find a place big enough to spend time with family.
Even though the property was suitable for a party of eight we found that there wasn't enough crockery. Certain elements were not very clean eg the under bedding, summer house. Generally the place seemed tired, in need of spring clean. The shrubs and brambles near the house and pathway to the gardens needed clearing. The games room was a good place to have family time.

Short break at The Old Chapel, Brampton.
We are a three generation family group ages ranging between 10 and 73. There was something to suit all. The children 10 and 13 found the games in the garage in their own words "Brilliant " especially the pool table, plenty for the adults, books, music or television. Lots of space and very well equipped property. Thoroughly enjoyed our break.
