The house was wonderful, the host was brilliant in helping us to find it (not easy) and there were lots of lovely touches to make it an amazing stay. It would have been great to have a manual to help us work out how to use the aga, which we managed after a while, and one of the bath jacuzzis. However, it did not mar this wonderful house, its incredible view and comfortable and fun accommodation. Did not want to leave and would definitely go back xx
Everything we needed - lots of personal touches. Very homely with great views over the - you definitely need a car unless you like a hike up a hill. Aberdovey is a lovely town with a nice beach - only downside is that is at least an hour from all of the main tourist attractions.
Argoed is a truly magical place. The house itself is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Everything here is absolutely top notch and well maintained. We loved the decor and eclectic pieces of art. The views from the house and garden are simply breathtaking. The outside space catered for sunny and rainy days perfectly with the breeze house, hot tub and garden furniture. Great location, an easy walk down the hill into Aberdovey although not so easy coming back. Simply a perfect get away!
Really special property with the best views of the estuary
We hired the house a special family celebration and the house and setting did not disappoint. The house is high spec with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views from its hillside location and spectacular and thankfully the Aberdyfi weather didn't disappoint. Joe, the property owner was so friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. Thank you Joe, we'll be back!
We had a fantastic week in Aberdovey. The house was perfect for us with stunning views and the perfect location with easy access to the town and beach. The owners were extremely helpful and sorted any issues quickly. We will be back!
A stunning house and garden, beautifully equipped and furnished and including some interesting original pictures as well as a very impressive sound system .The only problem was the AGA (brand new and untested I think) which failed to live up to expectations (and specification?) .The hot oven got to about 170C rather than 220C which is what my daughter ,an AGA user, told me to expect.Cooking a turkey was nearly a disaster! I shall be interested to read the report from AGA about the cooker.
We loved this property. The views are amazing and the accommodation is spacious, very well appointed, tastefully presented with every amenity. Should we be lucky enough to own this property we would keep it as is. Thank you.
The house was well situated even if it was a little tricky to negotiate the narrow roads leading to it. Inside, the decor was attractive, the sitting room comfortable and the kitchen/dining area a delight to cook, talk and eat in. Beds were comfortable with en suite bathrooms for 3 of the 5 and a shared bathroom for the remaining 2. Not really a house for 12 adults given 5 double beds and one single bed but the provision of two portable cots allows for babies but may be difficult for those with older children. Perfect for 10 persons. While one must laud the Welsh recycling process the splitting into 3 outside the house with only two containers in the house makes for some messy rearrangement during binning. A third container in the house may be helpful. Otherwise we were extremely happy with the house and the helpful and easy communication with Michelle, the owner. Some detailed suggestions for improvements will be sent to Michelle privately (no need to put this last comment on line)
The house was magical and simply stunning. We wanted for nothing, the house has everything and more for a perfect celebration. The views were out of this world. Highly recommended and we will be back!

What a magnificent property & owners
We were speechless when we walked into this house. It was above and beyond what we expected. The views are magnificent and everything inside the property was simply stunning. Michele couldn't have been more helpful and was always ready to take our calls for anything we needed to ask. She also left us a little surprise which was much appreciated. It is the best house in Aberdovey we have ever been to and we have been going for the past 20 years. We hope to go again next year and can't wait. Thanks again Michele for all your lovely and helpful chats. Lynda, family and friends

Superb property and views
We have all just had the most amazing weekend with our friends (all 10 of us) in this beautiful Victorian property. It is spacious, clean, tidy and has been decorated throughout to the highest standard. The kitchen is very well equipped, making catering for 10 adults very easy. It rained throughout most of our stay, but the games rooms and sound system were brilliant entertainment, so the weather was no problem to us.
Will definitely be going back at some point.

A Great Holiday House
Fabulous character house for a great family holiday. For us it was just the right distance from the beach which made walking down an adventure each day and well worth the climb back uphill for the wonderful view. With plenty of space and garden to sit out in, this was the perfect choice for our family get together.
We are sad to leave Argoed even though we do so in wind and rain.
