About this property

Apartment Romy is a well presented 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor overlooking the children's pay area in a stylish well maintained secure gated Horta Poca do Bispo development with a shared swimming pool and the flat's own underground secure garage. Whilst benefiting from a quiet relaxing location, the development is only a short walk to the shops, cafés, restaurants and bars of what is considered to be the prettiest town of the Eastern Algarve. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has twin beds. There is air-conditioning in both bedrooms and the lounge/dining room. The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher. The lounge has a large colour TV, DVD player, Bluetooth music dock and the apartment has wifi available. The front terrace has café style zinc table and chairs should you wish to dine outside or relax with a glass of wine in the open air. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the ferry that runs from Tavira town to the fabulous beaches of Ilha de Tavira from June to August and a short journey to the ferries at Quatros Aguas from September to May. You will find some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe just a short drive from Tavira as well as excellent golf courses.

Boa estadia

A estadia foi agradável. O apartamento está bem equipado a nível de móveis e equipamentos eletrónicos, bem como utensílios e a piscina é boa. Porém os sofás não são confortáveis e a localização do apartamento sendo do lado da estrada, não dá noites muito tranquilas.

Einfach wunderbar

Wie bereits beim letzten Mal war unser Aufenthalt einfach super. Die Wohnung ist top gelegen, sauber und der Pool macht richtig Spaß. Die Kommunikation mit der Verwaltung hat sehr gut und unkomplizierte funktioniert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr freundlich, zentral, modern und sauber

Wir lieben Tavira. Dieses Wohnung liegt in der Altstadt, 3 Minuten zu Fuss zu allem was wichtig ist, Hafen, Markt, zentraler Platz. Wir konnten der Verwalterin unser Gepäck voraus schicken da wir mit dem Zug angereist sind. Wir werden wieder in diese Wohnung gehen!

Perfect location, lovely appartement, all you need to have a great time out from working busy life.

Lovely appartement in heart Tavira. Beautiful inside and outside. All you need is there. The host is quick to respond as well as Olga ( taking care of the rental) is very easy to reach and very helpful. I recommend this appartement to anyone who want to have a great stay in Tavira.

Perfecte locatie

Heel fijn, ruim appartement in het centrum van Tavira op loopafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden en horeca in het centrum en op loopafstand van het treinstation! Mooie grote keuken, fijne bedden en alle ruimte. Balkon is in verhouding wat klein, maar prima om een drankje te doen. Voorafgaand al veel info gekregen van Hazel over de mogelijkheden om naar Tavira te reizen en de bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Fijn contact!

Property was in a great location, comfortable and spacious. Garage parking was a bonus, no looking for spaces! Very secure set up. Only downside was that communication with the property manager could have been easier. The owner was very helpful and flexible.

A Month in Tavira

Nicely appointed and well equipped apartment in an ideal location in Tavira. The surrounding grounds were well maintained and clean, gated access minimised random foot traffic and made the place feel more secure. The situation of the apartment gave easy access to numerous Bars and Restaurants. Access to local Supermarkets was also very good. The WIFI signal throughout the apartment was excellent, however the TV package was a bit confusing to operate. The only negative issue during our stay was the Traffic noise to rear of the property which could be quite intrusive in the morning (Bedrooms at the rear) Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay and would be happy to return in the future.

Lovely Apartment in a Great Location

We stayed for 3 weeks in January in one of the best apartments that we have ever stayed in. We found the apartment exactly as described, very well equipped to a high standard ideal for a longer stay. Jorge the property manager was exceptionally helpful & perfect to deal with. The property is in a lovely block & a great location for exploring Tavira & the Eastern Algarve. We would love to stay again.

Our arrival started with a meet and greet that covered all aspects of the property and the area. The apartment satisfied all our needs and more👍 The complex was clean, quiet, friendly and safe. It was remarkable just how close we were to the Restaurants, Cafes and shops. All in all we had 6 weeks of shear pleasure and would return without hesitation.

About the host

Your host

We live in England in the East Midlands and have visited Portugal for many years. When visiting the Algarve it was mainly to Lagos with our Portuguese friends in the early years. It was a mere fishing village with the sardines being barbequed in the streets. We all stayed in an apartment overlooking the sea. The children loved Mia Praia beach with it's wonderful sandy beach. Lagos and Tavira have maintained much of their rich heritage and culture despite the pressures of tourism. We had never visited the East side until about eight years ago.We were staying at the Vila Gale Hotel when we first saw the apartments being built from our hotel window. We fell in love with Tavira as well and all the family have been visiting both apartments.
The Algarve has much to offer and a good climate.

Why they chose this property

We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the tranquillity and unspoilt charm and the abundance of history which is evident. There is so much to do and see whether it is walking, visiting the castle and the many beautiful churches or just relaxing in the cafes and restaurants by the river. An ice cream in the beautiful shady gardens where the locals meet is often a relief.

Many craft and cultural events are held all the year round with celebrities visiting from all over the world. Concerts are held in the churches as well especially in the winter time.

The ferry boat by the river side takes you to the fantastic beach, cafes, and restaurants.This is where you can spend the whole day, the children love it especially the boat ride.

It is a lovely town not spoilt by over development.

What makes this property unique

The queen sized bed in Tavira, especially in the hot weather, we havn't enough room at home.
Both of our apartments are in the centre of town and everything you need is only a short walk away, the big fish and vegetable market, the super market and many small shops for your unexpected needs. Most of the cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance, some very close.You can do without a car, if you want to travel a little further the buses and trains offer a good service. The taxi rank is close.
