Very good location with of street parking. Short walk to harbour. Very friendly pub with good food , also options for take aways. First property we have stayed in without a helpful guide to heating and hot water etc.
The cottage has everything you needed very very clean great location nice neighbourhood perfect communication Porthleven is such a special place to holiday thank you so very much,Maria and Francis
Very clean and cosy homely property for a great getaway in Porthleven. With parking an issue in this popular village being able to know you can just park up on your own dedication spot is great.
We love Porthleven and look forward to coming back again and would definitely rebook this property.
Very nice area, with a lot of interesting villages to visit. A beautiful place to enjoy of nice holidays expecially for family with children. People are very friendly
The cottage and the location absolutely brilliant.
Best of all it's on the main bus route between Penzance and Falmouth The buses are really cheap and reliable so if like me you like a tipple with your lunch it's the perfect way to get around.
Great property and location for a short trip into Porthleven. Matt was great to deal with and jumped on the one question that we had. All in all excellent. Would definitely stay again!
Spotlessly clean cottage, ever facility you would need. The harbour is a very short walk away and the parking space was such a bonus. Will definitely come back again.
Easy to find, great communication and the perfect base for our holiday. Parking was such a bonus and the very short walk to the harbour was ideal. Lisa and Matt were quick to get back to us with any questions we had and some much appreciated tips on the local area. We had an amazing week. Thank you!
I picked this place for my friend and I to stay in as it is on the South West Coastal Path and a useful base for a weeks coastal path walking. Very clean and tidy and with all the facilities we needed.
Lovely cottage in a perfect location just 10 minutes from the the harbour and so convenient for cliff top walks, Praa sands and Mullion cove. Particularly appreciated being able to park in the drive. Had a glorious week and would love to return another time.
We had a very good stay at Driftwood. Porthleven
and the location of the property were ideal. The only thing that was at fault was the bathroom which needs some serious attention. Also we could have done with an information pack left by the owner.
Clean and spacious. Fantastic communication from Lisa and Matt. Everything has been thought off even supplying Tesco carrier bags and a picnic basket. Brilliant. Enjoyed our stay very much. Keep up the good work and Thank You.
Super house in a perfect location, and having the benefit of parking and outside space was great.
Lisa and Matt were perfect hosts. Plenty of useful info and very efficient at responding. Thank you!
I would highly recommend renting their home.
Very clean, just a slight ingress up and down to get to Harbour, and need more info to operate hot water boiler. Neighbours were very nice and friendly. Windows could do with up grading as condensation is in between double glazing.
Having dedicated parking in Porthleven is great and takes out all the stress when you know you can just pull up. Located in a quiet area with friendly neighbours but just a short walk to the harbour. When my son and I come back to Porthleven we would definitely like to stay here again. The only negative with an otherwise great place is that there is not a freezer facility but Lisa kindly arranged to freeze some bottles for our journey home so that we could take home some famous Philps pasties.
we arrived late in the day but entry was as arranged. the property was immaculate and well furnished.
there were some welcome drink making items. The kitchen was nicely laid out with good quality items. we didn't realize there was a dushwadher until later in the week, but as we were mostly dining out itvdidnt matter.
the house is in a quiete street and has a secluded back garden with patio furniture.
me walk into the town is less than a five minute stroll. porthleven is a lovely place with a picturesque harbour and beach.
we enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Conveniently located to explore the south west of Cornwall- spectacular beaches, coves and coastal walks. Parking space is very welcome. A very minor problem was quickly dealt with.
Property is clean and good for a small family. Thank you for all the recommendations of where to visit and places to eat.
Great stay in Porthleven. Cottage clean and well appointed. Car parking on front drive, quiet location, 5 mins walk to harbour.

About the host
Hosted by Matthew and Lisa Jones
We are a family of four that fell in love with Porthleven and everything it has to offer. We have been coming here since 2003 and have seen our children go from playing on the beaches to crabbing, body boarding, harbour jumping, fishing and mucking about on boats. We still spend the majority of our holidays here both in winter and summer. We have tried to think of everything to make your stay enjoyable. You will find us easy to deal with and happy to help. Best wishes Lisa and Matt.
Why they chose this property
There are many reasons why we love coming to Driftwood, here are a few of them. Driftwood is light and spacious yet in the winter feels warm and cosy. It is in a peaceful location just a short walk to the harbour, beach and shops. We often enjoy breakfast in the back garden on the sunny decking. It is thoughtfully decorated and feels just like a holiday home should. It is easy to get to and park, having our own drive is a real benefit in the height of the season when parking can be tricky in town.
