Budapest is a lively, vibrant city, a mixture of culture and history combined with excellent restaurants, bars and shops. We fell in love with our apartment Mahler, for 3 reasons, location, building and the apartment itself. Mahler is a 2 bed 2 bath luxury apartment right in the heart of Budapest, close to the Opera House, Andrassy Avenue and the fabulous restaurants of Liszt Ferenc Ter, our location could not be better. Our building is a beautifully renovated classic 19th Century design, with a lovely entrance and courtyard. Mahler has been planned, designed and renovated to enhance all of it's original features but to also have every modern facility you would expect to find in an upscale property. We have combined original features, panelled doors, window shutters and parquet flooring with WIFI, guest tablet and Nespresso coffee machine. We hope you love this apartment as much as we do.

Love staying in old, renovated European buildings, with high ceilings. Great location, near subway, grocery stores, restaurants, bars. Very quiet building. Would stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great spacious apartment in a good central location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the apartment had everything we needed. My only criticism is not having air conditioning, as while we were there Budapest was going through a heat wave. Despite having pedestal fans, the apartment never really cooled down.

Great communication from the owners. It was great to have space and the ability to cook our food. The apartment had great amenities and everything you would need. It was close to walk to attractions and had excellent restaurants in the area when we wanted to eat out. Would happily stay again.

Great place in a great location
We loved our stay! The flat was as pictured and had good access with the lift. We stayed with an infant and a toddler and where impressed with the amenities (baby cutlery, baby toys, etc). The flat is in a great location where we could walk everywhere. Would stay again.

Quiet, centrally located
It's a very quiet (in a courtyard), centrally located and very well equipped apartment. The check-in process was very easy and the contact person acted responsibly and in a very helpful way. I would recommend it to anybody visiting Budapest. We really liked our stay and thought that the price-value-ration was just adequate (it's just that we wouldn't call it "luxury" - it has many amenities (a TV set, espresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, two bathrooms, but no bathtub) and is a very good place to stay.

Very nice and well located appartment
We have spent a very good week in this clean and well equiped flat. The beds are very good. It is centrally located and you quite don't need to take the public transports if you like to walk. I recommend this appartment.

Super clean apartment in a great location
This spacious and clean apartment is in a wonderful area. We walked to nearly everything we wanted to see and took the metro to the rest (the stations are very close by). Communication with the owners was prompt and easy. They even met me at the apartment to give the keys and provide some helpful information about the city. Very nice! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Flat is situated centrally in nice part of Budapest with bars and restaurants all around, public transport near by. It is clean and well equipped. Communication with the property manager was excellent, they are very responsive and helpful. Everything is as it is advertised, would recommend this appartement for a stay in Budapest.

Very spacious, well equipped apartment in a very central location.
Two large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. Easy to use, efficient washer. Comfy sofa, DVDs in English. One small downside is the non functional elevator, necessitating climbing 2 floors of steep stairs to reach the apartment.

Great apartment in a central location
This flat has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so was perfect for 4 adults staying. It has everything you might need for your stay. The location is amazing - right amongst lots of bars and eateries, with a Spar shop round the corner for essentials. The Metro is less than 5 minutes walk. The apartment is very quiet - you couldn't hear anything from outside because the windows all face into a central courtyard. Andy was really helpful and communication was him was straightforward. I'd definitely recommend this apartment.

Found pillows and duvet smelled very used in my bedroom (no en suite) but found some fresher ones in wardrobe. Enjoyed the collection of DVDs with a Budapest setting. Found info about city in apartment useful. Tea and coffee would be a nice welcome in the apartment.

Budapest in the Heart
Literally this property is central to everything. If walking is not an issue then you will love it. 15min to the river, the Opera House, Basilica around the corner, walk to hero square and enjoy Central Park, or walk across the Chain Bridge to Buda and enjoy a day of touring the Castle, Bastion and surrounding buildings. If walking not your thing, taxi, bus, and even the oldest subway in Europe is 2minutes from your door. Then eat at one of many restaurants in the area or grab groceries from the local market 2 minutes up the road to cook your own meal. A spacious clean apartment with the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. Overall a great place to stay!

A very pleasant experience
I really like this apartment. I've travelled to Budapest every year since 2012, and this is my second time staying here. The location for me is excellent, being a 5min walk to a subway station, and being surrounded by cafes, shops, and restaurants. It is also a 10-15min walk to deak ferenc ter, a real Budapest connection point. On the negative, the tv is a little small (and no netflix etc), as is the fridge (for longer stays this may be relevant), and the washing machine was impossible to work out how to use (this happened last trip too). But I think the positives outweigh the negatives, it is located well, no noise from street or neighbours, wifi works fine, and everything else worked as advertised. I could see myself staying a 3rd time in the future...

My family stayed at the property at the reservation that I made. Owner and managers were absolutely outstanding in the way they communicated and helped us during the check-in and stay. Owner was very accommodating and exceptionally supportive post-reservation communications. Managers were simply SUPER! Andy met my family at the rail way station and brought them to the apartment. That was such a huge help!!!!! Thank you Andy! Also, managers helped with getting some food in the apartment as the day of move-in coincided with a national Holiday, when all stores were closed. This touched my heart and I can not express enough gratitude for this invaluable support. Apartment is located in a very nice area and it is very convenient to explore city center. I absolutely recommend this property for stay in Budapest. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Location, Location, Location
This cute flat has plenty of space with bedrooms that don't share a wall, or even a hallway. The location could not be better! You are right around the corner from the Opera House, great shopping, public transportation, restaurants, you name it - you got it! I'm a big walker so I found everything to be really accessible. It's about a 10 minute walk to St Stephen's Basilica in one direction or a 10 minute walk to the House of Terror museum in the other direction. The only thing on my wish list would've been to have access to the lift with my 18kg suitcase. There are a lot of stairs and at no point did I figure out if I could use the lift (to be fair, I also didn't ask). I DID ride it with another tenant so I know it worked. It just seemed like you needed a different key or perhaps a key fob to operate it. Anyway, if I had been shown how to use that, I would've given this place 5 stars.

Just not quite what we wanted
I hesitate to write a mixed review, because I'm sure this place will work really well for most people. Overall, the location is excellent, and it has all the basics (it's not a luxury apartment, even though that word is used many times in the description). Renata was very kind as well. Those were the things we really liked. And Budapest is a beautiful city. Here were our frustrations: 1. Every single window faces a walkway (not a busy one, but still). It's hard to leave windows to the bedroom open at night when someone can walk by and see you. This was a surprise to us. It was really hot, so we were happy that 3 fans were provided. 2. The showers don't seem to drain particularly well. 3. We were given 4 big towels for 4 people. That generally works, but as I mentioned, the showers didn't drain particularly well, and there's only half a wall for the showers...and we have kids...so it got a bit wet in the bathroom. Of course, we want to clean that up to be good tenants, but there were no towels to do so, unless we wanted to use one of our own bath towels. 4. The washer broke down with our clothes in it. I always make sure to rent a place with a working washer, so this was frustrating. Renata was kind enough to come the next day and check it out (she hung our clothes, too, as we weren't there), but by then, our clothes had sat in dirty water for 24 hours and some of it didn't come out too clean. 5. The location on the map was listed right on Jokal terrace, but the actual location is about 250 meters away. Is that a big deal? Maybe not. But why not just list the location where it actually is? This may sound like a lot of complaining. I guess my expectations were higher based on the reviews and the description. And I would hope that the washer doesn't break for each renter, so hopefully that's not a problem for most people.
