"Kingfisher Lodge" with Sea Views in a Peaceful Location


Kingfisher Lodge is a detached cabin with sea views Osmington Mills, Dorset. It is located on the peaceful Osmington Lodge Park with direct access to the South West Coast Path and the South Dorset Ridgeway Path.

It has three bedrooms, one double and two twin bedrooms, a family bathroom (bath with shower over, sink and WC) and an additional separate WC, the lodge can comfortably sleep six people.

Kingfisher Lodge also offers a fitted kitchen, a family dining area and a spacious sitting room with an electric fire. The lodge also benefits from central heating for cosy out of season breaks.

Outside the property you will find off-road parking for two cars and a covered balcony with furniture.

A 5 minute walk away is the lovely Smuggler's Inn pub offering fine beer and food, a great way to end a busy day.

In season you will also have access to the Osmington Holiday Park heated outdoor swimming pool, gym and Country Club.

It is a wonderful base for a family or group of friends to explore this beautiful part of Dorset.

We just loved sitting on the deck in the sun with sea views to the left and rolling countryside to the right. The wander to the Smuggler's for a beautiful Sunday roast and a romp over the cliffs at Lulworth to Durdle Dor made for a lovely family break.

Lovely & peaceful accommodation in a great location. Enjoyed the on site facilities, the Smugglers Inn was nice in walking distance.Durdle door was amazing plenty of places to visit.We would definitely stay again.

Great lodge
Overall we had a great time here. Spacious and comfortable for us three, with everything working. One star deducted for the online listing as it showed having a travel cot which it didn't. However, this was confirmed prior to our travel so full stars for good communication.

Lovely position with sea view and short walk to the Smugglers Inn. The lodge was clean, spacious and well equipped. We had a friendly, helpful reception at the Club and our toddler enjoyed the play area. We will definitely go back.

A fantastic week in a great lodge!
The lodge was perfect for our family. Beautiful views and an ideal location. The hosts provided clear instructions for check in and the receptionist at the park gave all the additional information for our stay. We had fantastic weather which meant we could use the outside pool everyday! The on-site gym was also a bonus. We didn’t eat at the country club because the smugglers inn was so close and we enjoyed the walk in the evening! The lodge is also on the south coast path so we were able to walk to Ringstead bay for a days swimming and Bowleaze cove for the kids soft play and rides. Overall fantastic value and would love to stay again!

Fabulous lodge
We have just got home and miss it already. The lodge is lovely and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Plenty of space for all six of us. Wood on the veranda could do with a bit of TLC. The park staff are all wonderful and really helpful. The swimming pool was warm and clean. You will find it hard to find somewhere as good with lovely views. Lots to do in the area, brilliant pub at the end of the road. We can thoroughly recommend it.

We all really loved the location and the Lodge. The view was great, overlooking the sea and we thought it was probably one of the best located on the site. The only downside was the sofas which really need to be replaced. The staff at the reception and the country club were really nice and helpful and the weather was perfect which was the icing on the cake.

Very clean with plenty to use in the kitchen. Very warm and lovely comfortable beds. A little dated, a few knobs kept coming off when we opened doors. No plug sockets near a mirror to use hair dryer etc. Hosts were very helpful before our stay and views are amazing. Local pub is lovely, especially in the sunshine.

Lovely complex.
Quiet complex with bar, restaurant, gym and outside heated swimming pool. Lovely views from the elevated position of the lodge. However, people with mobility issues could find the steep walk from the main buildings to the lodge difficult. I had to use my car. The lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Broadband seemed to be reliable with good speed, but needs a Smart TV to give access to all the usual apps. Bathroom really needs modernising with walk in shower, etc.

Beautiful lodge with seaview. We were with our 4 sons in the lodge. The lodge has a lot of space.
Nice lodge to stay. The matrasses of the beds are very good. Much to see and do in the surroundings. The holiday park is very clean and well maintained.

Have been here before- lodge nice and clean - beds comfortable. The lodge is not the newest on site - but no complaints - had everything we needed including a sea view. Site very quiet - shame they closed the pool earlier than we expected - overall had a lovely time here again … would recommend eating in the clubhouse on site .

Super place to stay
We had a lovely stay at the lodge, spacious and comfortable with good facilities. The holiday site was quiet and friendly and the outdoor pool an added bonus. Really great surroundings for a relaxing break with the kids. Fabulous location to explore all that the local area has to offer.
