Beautiful Apartment 5 minutes walk to ski lift

This newly renovated apartment is on the ground floor of a chalet in a peaceful location with a view from the terrace of the mountains, and a shared garden sloping down to a stream. It has 2 bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and breakfast room, lounge with TV & double sofa bed, newly renovated bathroom and separate WC. It has a ski boot warmer/dryer and a shared ski-room. There is free WiFi.

The charges for cleaning, linen and local tax are included in the price quoted.

Hinterthal is a quiet village at the head of a valley, with a variety of restaurants, a ski school, and rental options for skis and mountain bikes. It is in the heart of the Hochkönig ski region, part of the vast Salzburg ski region, and famous for the Königstour (King's Tour), voted the best ski circuit by Skiresort.info. A short 5 minute walk brings you to the main ski-lift, and 5 minutes the other way there is a practice lift for beginner skiers. In summer it is perfect for walking, mountain biking, or just sitting on the patio listening to the stream! A 10 minute drive or bus ride brings you into Maria Alm with more shops, restaurants and supermarkets. It is about one and a quarter hours from Salzburg airport. In the winter high season we rent from Saturday to Saturday but in summer we are flexible with arrival days.

We give 10% of our profit from your rental to our charity: THE GIRAFFE PROJECT, which we founded in 2005. The charity provides education from primary school to university for some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people from the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Lovely apartment, relaxing yet energetic holiday!
The apartment is simply gorgeous. It is fully equipped with everything you could need. We cook a lot when on holiday and the kitchen lacked nothing. The balcony faces south east so you get the sun most of the day. The river at the bottom of the garden provides a very relaxing sound. Walking routes are available in almost every direction, a great place to come to build up your fitness at your own pace. I cannot recommend this place enough for a relaxing yet energetic holiday location!

Ideale Unterkunft in den Bergen
Alles was es braucht, um eines tollen Urlaub in den Bergen zu verbringen. Bequeme Betten, sauber, gepflegt und alles was man braucht ist vorhanden (Ski-Schuh Heizung, Skikeller, Föhn, saubere, neue Handtücher, großer Kühlschrank, Parkplatz vor der Tür). Skilift ist nicht weit entfernt (5 Min zu Fuß) und trotzdem ist es wunderbar ruhig. Wir kommen wieder!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Die Wohnung war klasse. Aber der hohe Mietpreis ist nicht gerechtfertigt. Bettwäsche extra ,Endreinigung extra (viel zu hoch),Gästecard (Hochkönig Card)extra.Im Ort gibt es nichts, Lebensmittel,Tanken,Bäcker, Tourist Info.Man muß alles im nächsten Ort erledigen.

Eine wunderbare Woche in Hinzerthal
Wir haben die Wiche mit unseren vier Kindern in der Wohnung sehr genossen. Hervorragende Fussnähe zu Lift(s) und Skischule. Die Wohnung sauber und gut ausgestattet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr nette und effiziente Kommunikation mit der Agentur und Vermieterin. Wir können die Wohnung rundum empfehlen.

Resümee
Die Lage des Objekts ist ideal für Wanderer. Sehr ruhige Zone, nur das Haus ist etwas hellhörig. Aus dem Haus raus und man ist von Bergen umgeben. Liegt an einem idyllischen Bach. Die Restaurants in der Umgebung sehr zu empfehlen. Zu Fuß in 5 bis 10 min erreichbar. Unsere Empfehlung AlmBar und Hotel Restaurant Urslauerhof.

Eine wunderschöne Lage, super netter Empfang, wir hatten leider nur einen Kurztrip gebucht, werden aber sicherlich für einen langen Aufenthalt wieder kommen. In der Ferienwohnung wurde nichts vermisst, wir waren begeistert von der großen Auswahl an Spielen, die zur Verfügung standen, da hätten wir gar nicht so viele mitnehmen müssen :). Es war alles da, was man braucht und wir haben wunderbar schlafen können. Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit.

Tolle Wohnung in schöner Lage
Die Ferienwohnung ist schön und hat alles was man benötigt. Die Lage und der Ausblick von der Terasse sind sehr schön und es gibt viele attraktive Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Die Kommunikation mit Vermietern und Hausverwaltern war sehr freundlich.

The apartment is in a very beautiful and quite neighborhood, facing the river with a great balcony view. Cleanness and everything inside the appartment was also great. The owner and housekeeper were quite helpful and easy to communicate. Will definitly go again.

Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, die Wohnung sehr schön gelegen und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Zu unserer Überraschung sogar mit 2 Toiletten! Das Wasser an der Terrasse war sehr beruhigend und die Aussicht auf die Berge der absolute Hammer!!

Sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung
Im Gegensatz zu anderen Ferienwohnungen, war diese gut ausgestattet, es war alles mehrfach vorhanden, alle Arten von Gläsern etc. Habe nicht damit gerechnet und Equipment dabeigehabt die wir nicht gebraucht haben, da alles vorhanden war. Es war im Haus sehr ruhig und wir haben gut geschlafen. Leider kam der Hausmeister 15 Min. zu spät, obwohl per SMS und telefonisch angemeldet, was bei Minus 8 Grad nicht so angenehm war.

Tolle Unterkunft mit zwei Schlafzimmern in Hinterthal
Tolle, sauber Unterkunft mit allem was man für den Urlaub braucht. Zimmer sind super und die kleine Terrasse zum Bach perfekt für das Frühstück in der Sonne.

We are a British-Belgian couple, semi-retired teachers, living in Austria. We have 4 adult children who all love Austria and skiing as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We chose Hinterthal for its peaceful location, fabulous skiing and lovely Austrian village atmosphere. We bought it in May 2014 and spent July renovating it. Even though we were working we loved the fresh air, the warmth of the people and the constant view of the mountains. The apartment is close to the lift, the village, restaurants and 2 very nice spas, but most of all it is peaceful and beautiful everywhere you look. All you can hear is the stream at the bottom of the garden. Then you can follow the trail up the mountain behind to the waterfall.

What makes this property unique

Hinterthal is idyllic, but if you want more action its an easy drive or you can hop on a bus and you are in Maria Alm in 10 minutes. There is plenty to do, including hiking, swimming, tennis, mountain biking, horse riding.... and you can find lakes, gorges, and glaciers within a half hour drive. For something different, it is only an hour 20 minutes to Salzburg, and that's a city worth spending time in!
