Fantastic stay!
White Hart Cottage is gorgeous, exactly as seen on the site. It has every amenity you can think of and the welcome hamper, including the Prosecco and cupcakes, was greatly appreciated. So many lovely touches from the owner made this a lovely weekend break. Would highly recommend.

The best of all places!
After we left, we compared every place to Fenella's. She was wonderful, the cottage was wonderful, the town was wonderful. We arrived late and were delighted to find enough food and drink that we could wait until lunch to go shopping. We even had homemade jam!

Bath, Iford Manor, Freshford Inn). Herzlichen Dank, gerne kommen wir wieder!

What a cute cottage in a beautiful village ( with a great local pub!) in a lovely part of the world. The train service to and from Bath is a bonus, and the owner goes above and beyond to ensure that your experience is amazing - the welcome hamper on arrival is a real treat!

Immaculate cottage
White Hart Cottage was fantastic - the location is very convenient to Bath while still being quiet. The cottage itself is beautiful, warm and comfortable. It was perfect for us and our two pre-teen daughters. We were all very comfortable here - the welcome treats, especially the jam, were wonderful. I recommend this property wholeheartedly.

Wonderful!
Idyllic is the perfect word to describe the cottage and the village of Freshford. It was everything we hoped and more. The welcome basket was indeed most welcome, but also thoughtful, and delicious. No detail was overlooked and there was even wood for the the fireplace! The cottage was spotless and well appointed. I hope very much to return.

Wonderful country cottage
We had a lovely experience in this gorgeous cottage. It was a perfect escape for our little family and the owner had provided everything we needed to make us feel welcome - Christmas cakes, bubbly, logs for the fire, high chair and crib for the baby. The local cafe and shop down the road were excellent and we had a lovely meal at the Freshford Inn. Overall a great experience and we would love to stay again.

Super nice cottage, super nice village
Party of 4 adults were absolutely fine, tough the cottage is naturally more suited to parents and 2 children. The village is delightful and includes llamas (!) with a lovely/traditional village shop and cafe, school, beautiful walks and is very close to Bath itself. The cottage, by definition, is a cottage so limited in space but has everything, everyone was very impressed with the utilities and equipment provided. Generally, once the party got there, no-one actually wanted to leave, but instead stay in the cottage for relaxation, and in the village for walks, instead of doing the Bath tourist trail. If again in the Bath area for longer than a night, we'd always would want to book the cottage again, for sure. Not a drawback, of course, but a fact, the village is hilly, and mostly single lane. The village pub offers nice food, good menu, good service, and opened up the upper floor for us when we had not booked, ad-hoc, highly recommended. Go4it, you cannot go wrong!

Well appointed and picturesque.
The cottage is very well equipped and extremely well appointed. It is a very short walk to the station and less than 10 minutes into central Bath by train. The local pub is well worth visiting as is the wood fired pizza van on a Friday night. Welcome hamper was excellent and the cottage has everything you could possibly need. Freshford is a delightful village and a great location for walks and exploring.

Cozy and Comfortable
We loved our week at The White Hart Cottage. Finella has a lovely property that is clean and comfortable. She is a wonderful hostess who provided a generous welcome basket to get us started. As she lives nearby we met her several times and she was always concerned with our comfort and well being. Cottage was clean, modern and well stocked. Parking was very close. Nice linens, shower, and comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this lovely cottage with our two teenage children. It was so clean, well appointed and charming. Great place to be
A very nice and cosy cottage, clean, complete and everything is covered for guests. The location, a few miles outside of Bath, is perfect. You can go to Bath bij car, but you can also take the bus, busstop is across the road. Or you can explore the English countryside, with a nice walk in de neighboorhood, and take a beer in the Freshford Inn.

A very sweet cottage in a lovely village
We had a lovely time in Freshford and adored Fenella's cottage. It's well designed, beautiful, and there's a sense of comfort in the place - both in the design, and in the details. I loved the back garden, and my son loved playing in it both mornings. We had our breakfast on the deck and truly felt a million miles from everything, while still having the comforts and convenience of home. The beds and linens are very comfortable and the shower and bathroom are nice. We appreciated having a washer/dyer in the middle of our vacation. Fenella left a lovely hamper of things to welcome us as well, full of tasty treats and lovingly chosen items. I loved the area and village around White Hart Cottage. Walking to the Inn at Freshford was enchanting, and the food was delicious. We loved the Galleries cafe down the street, too. Thank you for the lovely time :) I hope we can come back someday. Paula

Beautiful cottage and the owners detail is second to none.
High quality, exceptionally clean, beautiful village location . Best welcome pack we have ever received. Fenella was a great host and communication was excellent. Walking distance to railway station, 10 minutes to Bath. Welcoming village pub in walking distance. Would highly recommend and will hopefully return.

I am a busy working Mother of 3 wonderful sons, wife to my fabulous husband surrounded by 3 gorgeous dogs. I was born in Bath and have been lucky enough to be able to raise my own family here.

Why they chose this property

We bought White Hart Cottage for one of our sons who is autistic hoping, that one day, he will be able to live there independently. Meanwhile we are thoroughly enjoying welcoming guests from all over the world to explore and enjoy the wonderful area we live in.

What makes this property unique

Our cottage enables guests to enjoy the delights of country living with a perfect village pub, incredible country walks & views and an embracing community shop and cafe whilst being only 10/15 minute drive from the famous heritage City of Bath. We are also surrounded by country houses steeped in history and many busy villages to explore with great warmth and hospitality.
