Cottage With large Pool In Beautiful Countryside, fab garden, Nr Loule and golf.

Lemon-tree-cottage is located in the quiet hamlet of Corcitos just 2 km from the pretty village of Querença with its beautiful XIV century church, bar and restaurants and just 3Km from the new (2023) 18 hole Ombria golf resort . A tranquil haven away from the pressures of hectic modern-day life and yet, it is close to everything that you need (banks, supermarkets, pharmacies etc. in Loule). Corcitos is just 25~30 minutes easy drive from Faro airport and beaches and is ideally located to explore the whole Algarve. A day-trip into the Alentejo or Spain is easily achieved as Corcitos is well connected to the key roads. For those who want to enjoy country walks Lemon Tree Cottage is ideally placed. The track to the Fonte de Benemola passes within 30m the entrance to Lemon Tree Cottage. Walkers and birdwatchers on a 2 week stay can find a different walk every day without repetition.
The Cottage is located within fully fenced grounds of about 1.5 acres with entrance via remote control electronic gates. There are plenty of seating areas around the pool terrace and gardens to enjoy the sun or shade.
The orchard provides a variety of fruit (Orange, Lemon, Apricot, Plums, Pomegranate and Figs) which you can help yourself to when in season.

The pool is 12 x 5m and mildly saline, with about the same salinity of a tear drop. The pool was fully refurbished and re-tiled in Spring 2021 and has a maximum water depth of 1.40m. Pool chemicals are kept to a minimum. The swimming pool is solar heated and shared with the owners. The pool is located in the heart of the property, overlooking superb views and with shade available.

An outdoor rattan sofa set, and swing seat are available in partially shaded locations near the cottage to provide cooler spots for guests to enjoy. A gas BBQ is available.

WiFi and the main UK TV stations are available plus a selection of DVD's and books.

The cottage is fully air conditioned at no extra cost.

GREEN Credentials: Recycling bins for paper, plastic, glass and metal are provided in the cottage as are reusable shopping bags. A 16 unit solar tracking array generating 3.2Kw/hr and a further 14 unit solar array (providing a further 4.2Kw/hr) for the pool pump help us to keep energy neutral.

Lemon Tree Cottage sits in the grounds of the owners home. Guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens at any time.

Fabulous

We had a wonderful stay - Lemon Tree Cottage is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful area. Trevor and Alicia are fantastic hosts and provided everything we could possibly need for our holiday - from towels for the pool to deck chairs and beach umbrellas and even a cool box for picnics. They live on site so are nearby to sort out any issues - particularly useful if you lock yourselves out on the first day, as we did! (Tip - take the keys outside with you so you can always get back in). The cottage is beautiful (excellent air con) and the huge pool was an instant hit with us all. Fabulous gardens and the view is breathtaking. (Tip - bring insect repellent for the evenings). Situated in the hills and a bit 'out of the way', the area is very quiet and you will need a car - we found driving very easy and safe - everyone seems very friendly and courteous on the roads. We enjoyed visiting the town of Loule and the harbour at Vilamoura and highly recommend a guided kayak tour around the costal caves at Benagil. We travelled with 2 teenage sons and they enjoyed the pool and chilling on the sunbeds. For bright lights and excitement we visited Albufeira which thankfully has an escalator down to the beach! The boys were happy to enjoy a burger and watch football on the massive screens! Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lemon Tree Cottage. Thank you Trevor and Alicia.

Beautiful house.

Perfect surroundings grate pool 140cm overall = no cold water but app. 28C all time. Very friendly hosts and very helpfull😃 Amazing garden. Just outside you reach a lot of tracks and if you walk on the public road there will be almost no cars/traffic. I never visit a place with such quiet road. Just perfect placement to reach beach/cities and other nature within 30min. Thanks for a lovely stay😎

The Swimming Pool

We loved the Lemon Cottage, it was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to spend our days by the pool and go village exploring at the end of the afternoon. We did just that and loved it. The fig tree provided us with daily fig amazing luxury every day. The pool is heated and super beautiful and clean, lots of towels for our 15 days stay. The only little problem was the internet, there is no internet or smart TV in the Cottage. We used our own smart phones as hotspots for internet.

Geweldige woning in de Algarve

Wij hebben één week doorgebracht in deze geweldige vakantiewoning. De eigenaren hebben echt een heel mooie plek gecreëerd. De tuin is echt adembenemend mooi. Overal zijn zitjes en er is ook een sportveldje aanwezig waar je kan badmintonnen of volleyballen. Het zoutwaterzwembad was fantastisch. De eigenaren, Trevor en Alicya zijn erg behulpzaam en hebben ons goede tips gegeven, zodat we veel leuke uitstapjes in de omgeving hebben kunnen maken. De week is voorbij gevlogen. We hopen in de toekomst ooit nog eens terug te komen.

Mooie locatie in de rustige heuvels van de Algarve

Trevor en Alicya hebben ons zeer vriendelijk ontvangen in dit mooie verblijf. De woning, het terras en het zwembad waren picobello. De eigenaars verblijven op dezelfde locatie maar zijn zeer discreet. Bij aankomst kregen we wel meteen een behoorlijk aantal regeltjes mee (do's and don'ts) wat enigszins benauwend overkwam (we werden bang om iets verkeerd te doen), al was dit zeker goed bedoeld. Wil je graag de stranden en bezienswaardigheden langs de kustlijn bezoeken, dan moet je wel weten dat dit steeds minstens 30 a 40 minuten rijden met de wagen is. Zoek je vooral de rust op, weg van de toeristische drukte, dan is dit een ideale plek.

Fantastic!

We have had a great 2 weeks in Lemon Tree Cottage. Trevos was very helpfull with just everything! His recommendations of restaurants were right on top. The pool and the garden were just fantastic. There is absolutely no reason not to return en every reason to do return.

Een fijne rustige plek om vakantie te houden.

Een mooie ruime vakantiewoning op een rustige plek. Goede restaurants in de directe omgeving. Zwembad is schoon en heerlijk warm. EEn plek om nog eens terug te komen. Gastheer en dame zijn enorm vriendelijk en staan je bij met raad en daad.

Gorgeous relaxing place

Lemon Tree Cottage is a perfect place to relax in a beautiful setting whilst in fairly easy reach by car of the main Algarve attractions. The pool area and garden are an oasis of tranquillity - the pool itself was a decent size for a grown up family of four. There are no shops particularly nearby so you have to be organised but we didn't find that a problem. The inside of the property has everything you need and we spent virtually all waking hours outside anyway. Trevor and Alicja were extremely friendly and helpful and respect your space at all times while obviously needing to undertake basic pool maintenance. Would recommend this property unreservedly.

A great place to relax and slow down. A getaway from the busy life you live!

If you want lovely walks, challenging cycle rides, clear night skies, lovely country views, silence, wonderful hosts, large swimming pool, lovely accommodation then this is a place you should seriously consider. Only 35 mins away from Faro airport and the coastal ports and beaches, you can have the best of both. It's the 3rd time we have been to Lemon tree cottage.

Wunderschönes Anwesen, bestens ausgestattet

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche in dieser schönen, bestens ausgestatteten Ferienwohnung. Die sehr netten Vermieter haben wirklich an alles gedacht, wir haben nichts vermisst. Auf der großen Terrasse am Pool hat man einen herrlichen Blick ins Weite und kann die Abendsonne genießen.Im wunderschönen Garten darf man frische Orangen und Zitronen ernten. Alles ist super gepflegt! Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen!!!

Very cosy cottage with all amenities

Great place to stay for walking, touring and only 25 minutes from the coast away from the tourists! Near lovely market town of Loulé where we went to the big Carnival last Sunday. My wife and I will definitely come again in the future.

A wonderful place in the sun

We are a couple who have rented different houses in the Algarve region for many years This place is a find for those seeking silence but will be near a city The cottage have to good bedrooms ,a nice bathroom with a seperate showeroom.A kitchen/livingroom where the only thing we missed was a dishwasher. From the kitchen there are doors direct out to terrace with table,chairs sofa and sunbeds. Very nice pool with no red eyes or smell of chlorine.The owners covered the pool every night ,so it was nice temperature in the morning as well. The cottage stands in a large garden with the owners house next to the cottage. We felt very safe with the owners as neigbours and that the plot was fenched with electric gates:The owners have their own entrance and no view to the cottage. Thanks to Alicja and Trevor for a warm welcome and that you wanted to share your beatiful place with us. This is a place you do not want to leave so we will of course come back next year

Nice property but not private.

We booked this property after reading the description on HomeAway, it seemed great, idyllic to be precise. When we are on holiday, we look for privacy so that if we don't want to talk to anyone, we don't have to. We also like to sunbathe and swim in private. We like to get the keys, kick back and be left totally alone. Viewing the images the property looks lovely and indeed it is. The property is in a secluded location, it is peaceful and tranquil. It has everything you need for a quiet holiday. BUT, this property is NOT PRIVATE. What is not disclosed, is that it is within the grounds of the owners property, and they are resident permanently. The pool is NOT PRIVATE, it is shared with the owners. When you look out from the property, the owners house is to the left of the pool, their kitchen door opens out onto the pool, their landing window looks out over the pool. The owner takes the cover off the pool at 9.00am and puts it back on at 9.00pm. This makes private sunbathing and swimming impossible. WIFI is available, but is not reliable, it is unavailable quite often, we are led to believe this is common in the Algarve. Mobile phone signal is variable too. So if you need to be available while away, be aware. There are a lot of rules laid out all around the villa, on doors, in kitchen, in bathroom, in the guide folder. It feels like you are being supervised... There was a thunder storm while we were out one day, we returned to find the cushions from the garden furniture in our villa. This may seem OK... but really it is not. The owner can gain entry to the property when they want. If in an hotel or B&B this would be acceptable, but in a private villa it really is not and I would question whether it is breaking rental law. Had we known this at the time of booking, we would not have chosen this villa. We paid a high premium for what we thought was a private accommodation. This aside, the villa is in a beautiful location, in quiet countryside, where you can experience the Algarve away from high tourist locations. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. Without their advice we would not have found the fantastic restaurants we visited, or seen some of the wonderful attractions close by. For that we are very grateful.

Peaceful oasis

We had a wonderful stay! Trevor and Alicja made us very welcome and were very helpful. The cottage is very comfortable and has views onto the large pool from both the main room and oneof the bedrooms. This made for some beautiful mornings. This is the first time we have bathed in a salt water pool, and it is marvelous. The water feels light and there is no chlorine aftertaste or stinging eyes. The gradens were great - lots to see and many fruit trees. The location of the cottage was excellent. We walked on the trail right outside the property, all the way down to the Fonte Benemola reserve. Amazing walk and countryside. This was a wondeful holiday - we all enjoyed it very much indeed!

We are an ex-geologist and botanist that love the countryside, fresh air and peace & quiet. We used to work in IT & a school but have both now retired to enjoy the stress free living in this area of the Algarve.
We love driving on the empty roads, the local food and wine and working in the garden with blue sky above us.

Why they chose this property

After travelling extensively we first came to the Algarve in 2013 looking for a place for a holiday home and a place to retire to. We stayed at a number of B&B's along the length of the Algarve but decided the area north of Loulé was the perfect location away from the busy coastal strip but within easy reach of most places along the Algarve and into Spain and so we decided to buy a property with a separate cottage in the tranquil hills overlooking Loulé.

What makes this property unique

We love the peace and tranquillity of our location here in Corcitos. The pool, garden and orchards are our joy. We can go for many varied walks without having to use the car. We love birds and they abound here. We regularly hear the Tawny Owls, Nightingales, Golden Orioles and many other songbirds. We love the easy access to and from Faro airport and the convenient flights between Faro and UK. Loule is a wonderful local town and offers us everything we need in just a short 15 minute drive. We love the many restaurants in the hills that offer great value and quality compared to the more coastal areas.
