Other things to note
Peckham has a really ‘villagey’ feel, especially the area around Bellenden road, which has a butcher, a baker, and candlestick maker plus loads of cute independent cafes and shops.

If you’re into brunch there’s a cafe for every day of the week and then some in Peckham. From the super-chilled and well priced Lerryns, to the epic Full Spanglish breakfast at the arty cafe No. 67, or a gin cocktail-fuelled brunch at cool new restaurant Peckham Pedler.

We have the best Indian in London, Ganapati, and the best Thai The Begging Bowl.

For such a teeny place, Peckham is home to two of the best rooftop venues in London.
Not only do we have the infamous Frank’s on the 10th floor of a multi story car park, but The Bussey Building is also home to a rooftop cinema in the summer months.

If you’re going shopping and don’t know what you’re looking for, head to Khan’s bargains on Rye Lane for some inspiration.
It sells literally everything you could ever want. From an entire aisle of pickled things in jars, to exotic spices, household goods, leather bum bags and manicure sets.

We have a shed load of great bars. Not to mention locally famous Canavan’s pool club, which is open from 10am to 4am every single day including Sundays.

Peckham Rye Park and Common boasts football fields, landscaped parks, wooded areas, picnic spots, Japanese gardens, ponds, playgrounds and loads of parakeets living in the trees.
The apartment is 5 minutes walk from Denmark Hill Station which offers Overground services into Clapham Junction or up to trendy Shoreditch in East London. There are also bus services that get you to numerous London locations.

Good for a short stay
Flat is very close to lots of buses that will take you to central London in about 35mins. Nice comfy bed, very clean and even some basic stuff in the large fridge. Fine for two people but a bit cramped for 3. Incredibly hot even though all the heating was off. And you can't open the windows properly as the curtains that are hung up by a string get in the way.But there's a mobile air-conditioning In the sitting room and an electric fan in the bedroom. Still the temperature in the flat(about 32'’C!!)is a bit of a problem.

Short stay
We spent a few nights there, although the place looks to be the same as the photos, it was not cleaned well in the slightest.

Just right for us
The apartment was well situated for our purposes. It had all the amenities we needed for our week's visit, and all the appliances had good instructions. Initial directions to the place could have been clearer, particularly because the stop we were directed to was temporarily closed. Id suggest the host make them a bit more specific. But once we found the place, with help from locals, we found the location easy to get in and out from. Host answered all my messages very quickly, we appreciated that!

Local culture
If you are looking for luxury this is not your place. If you want the local experience then that is what you will get. The bus system is wonderful. It will take about 45 minutes to get to the tourist attractions of London central but the ride is worth it. It is listed as a king size bed but it would be considered a queen by American standards. The owner was very helpful in suggesting places to go other than the usual places and the pink instruction manual was extremely helpful.

Very pleasant stay
We had a comfortable stay at this property. The location is very convenient to coffee shops, a grocery store, restaurants, and the bus. Jade responded to questions very quickly and provided some basic groceries upon check in.

Good location for London sightseeing
The apartment is enough to satisfy the travellers wanted to see London. Easy to move anywhere in London. The bus stop is very close. You can see inside the owner makes efforts to make the stay pleasant. It was nice to find all the small things that can make a daily life easier. The City part is very nice. The house is located in the park with impressive monumental plane tree (I have never seen such a nice platan). The location is fine but the immediate surroundings seems (entering the inner yard) surprisingly poor. Like unclean even if the street was tided up every morning. Maybe because of the public space of the house remained unclean. It is a pity as there is a nice garden view from the apartment. So the impression inside is better than approaching last 50 metres.

Affordable, great location
The place is close to Camberwell Green which has buses to pretty much all of the main attractions in London. My family definitely enjoyed taking buses every where. We got to see the city the best way that way and also it is really the cheapest way. This flat is a great location for that. It was also very quiet which was great for good night sleep.

Great location close to Central London
Great little place in Camberwell. Jade was extremely accommodating, and the place was clean and comfortable. Close to the bus and subway stations. Jade provided a lot of extra amenities for our stay like cereal, milk, and tasty apples for us which we also appreciated very much! Stay with confidence and you will not be disappointed!

Inaccurate description
I have a lot to say about this place. The main thing I have to say is that the description that the owner gave of this location is completely inaccurate. She states that it is a 15 minute bus ride into the city center. This is not true. No matter what time of day or which bus you take, it is a minimum of 45 minutes (most of the time it took 60 minutes) to get to the city center. It takes more than 15 minutes to get to the nearest tube (Oval) by bus. It is 1.7 miles away so not great for walking. We decided to stay here because it fit our budget and decided a 15 minute bus ride wasn't so bad. If we had known it was almost an hour on a hot, crowded bus we would have stayed closer and spent more money on a better location. The biggest issue we had with this apartment was the heat. Even though it was roughly 65 degrees F ( 18C) outside, it was at least 85F (30C) in the apartment at all times. The floors were always really warm so we know it was coming from the downstairs neighbors. The windows in the apartment only opened a few inches at the top so it was impossible to get cool air from them. We had to leave the front door open with fans in it to even slightly cool down the place. We were sweating all night. The apartment is also pretty shabby when it comes to the decorations. The curtains were hung up with string. Pictures had spots on them and were not centered on the wall. The smoke detector was falling off the ceiling. We weren't given a second set of sheets for the couch, there was only one dish towel in the kitchen and no washcloths in the bathroom. The bathroom itself didn't have an actual shower in it. It had a shower head you had to hold up. If you are any taller than 5'3" you will have to bend over the whole time to use the shower head. The tub is also tall so if you have knee or leg issues you might not be able to climb in. The bathroom is located in the bedroom which was a bit frustrating as well. Overall, I wish we had spent more money and stayed somewhere else. If you are in London to see all the tourist spots, this is not a great spot to stay. You will be spending most of your time on public transportation rather than at the sites.

Great stay in Camberwell
The one bedroom flat was a great place to stay for my husband, daughter and myself. There was coffee, washer dryer, tv, and snacks provided. The apartment is a short walk to a grocery store and is conveniently located near a bus line. I would stay here again if I ever have the opportunity to return to London.

Decent, Inexpensive Stay
The Good: Jade is a good hostess, who provided for us and left us alone, as we asked. Her place is equipped for anything imaginable, such as extra towels and linens, bath and kitchen supplies, and three coffee makers! No A/C, but well-ventilated and there are two very strong fans. Good restaurants nearby. The Bad: Outweighing all the good points, however, are the property and location. Inconvenient to both the museums and West End, Camberwell and Peckham are up-and-coming areas that haven't up and come yet. No Underground stations are near, so Uber it is: £12-18 to any of the normal tourist attractions. Forty-five minute walk to the Eye or the Imperial War Museum, for instance. In short, Camberwell is an acquired taste.

Quiet, nice place
We had a great week in London; the apartment is small but comfortable and quiet, with easy transportation to the center of London. Jade was a great host. Altough 4 people can fit (2 in the bedroom and 2 in the living room), I would not recommend this for 4 adults, since access to the bathroom is through the bedroom. Other than that, the stay was great; the kitchen stoked with some treats (tea, biscuits...) and very clean. The place is quite, with no main rodas near enough to disturb your sleep (the living room has views to a yard were we could see a couple foxes in the evening!).

Great price, great location, great ameneties
Sweet little apartment with great ameneties and very thoughtful host! She left us Christmas-themed sweets (we arrived on Boxing Day) and brought us champagne and chocolate liquors for New Years. Very easy to travel to central London using the very nearby buses, conveniently close to grocery stores and many good restaurants, and was very easy to communicate with our host. As with any apartment, there was some ambient noise at times but the fans provided helped with that at night. The bedroom was a bit bright at night due to the walkway lights right outside, but it wasn't a problem with my sleep mask on at bed time. Had an overall great week-long stay here!

The appartment is very cosy and has all the facilities including WiFi. The location is perfect.
My family from Poland were staying for 4 nights and left very well impresed with the appartment which has all the facilities to make your stay enjoyable. The connection to most of the important places to visit in London is perfect for the turists either by bus or tube. We have been provided with relevant and very clear information with maps of underground and turistic atractions. The place is clean and very well looked after. I highly recomend this appartment to my friends and family that will intend to visit London.

A great place to stay!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment was relatively close by public transit to some of the major tourist attractions, and we also spent a day walking through some of the neighboring areas, which was LOVELY. The apartment is in walking distance to a very hip coffee shop, a small grocer, and a theater. The kitchen was a huge plus, as was the washer/dryer (we stayed during an unexpected heat wave, so it was great to be able to recycle the limited "just in case" clothing that we packed for warmer weather). We would love to stay here again!

A bit noisy and not very clean.
The apartment had everything we needed but more attention needs to be made to cleaning. The floors and carpet were sticky and there was too much dust throughout. The bedroom did not have a black out curtain and the neighbors were very noisy. The location was convenient for downtown attractions.

Very tidy and quiet
This was a lovely flat to stay in with a beautiful view of a courtyard. It is very comfortable and warm. It is situated in a vibrant community and I found the overall vibe to be unusually friendly for London. The 12 bus from Peckham Road (Vestry Street stop) will take you right into the centre of London to Westminster etc.
