The recently renovated open-plan living area on the upper level enjoys spectacular views of the silver water and sunsets over the lagoon where it meets the wild Atlantic Ocean. Fully opening glass doors give access to the roof terrace with brick built barbecue and outdoor eating or sitting space. It is complemented by a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable indoor seating with a wood burning stove for chilly evenings out of the main holiday season (note there is no central heating). The natural wood ceiling, white walls, terracotta floor and blue and white tiles in the cloakroom maintain the Portuguese style. We built the villa 30 years ago, have grown up there and our children love it so we have refurbished it, maintaining the traditional feel and blending in modern amenities. The villa is spacious with large rooms and the multiple living areas mean that everyone can find their own space to relax. The entrance hall from the front door is wide and will easily accommodate push chairs and car seats. Three main bedrooms are on this level as well as a large lounge and a modern steep oak staircase to the upper floor. The fenced garden setting is safe for children and the established trees and shrubs provide shade if needed. In this part of Portugal there is often a light breeze making the temperature very pleasant for sitting in the sun. The pool has a sheltered terraced area for sunbathing and is sunny for most of the day. The Pool View room is on the lower level by the pool with a small kitchenette. The villa is on a small mature development at the end of a cul de sac. parking outside, making it an excellent base to explore the area and much of Portugal. The verandah on the mid-level also provides a shady place to sit and overlook the pool in the hot days of summer. .
