Detached comfortable airy bungalow big sunny garden between beach and village.
Relax in this conveniently situated bungalow. Restricted to families max 4 including infants and over 24's mixed groups only. Not ideal for the elderly. Wander along the level footpath the short walk to beautiful Croyde beach and village from this quiet cul de sac, then back to sit around the generous stylish table for an alfresco lunch in the large sunny garden laid to lawn. Snooze it off in deck chairs and loungers. Then in the evening a 5 minute walk gets you to the popular village with its choice of pubs, shops, and restaurants, playgrounds and volleyball nets. Or settle down in the tastefully decorated lounge to watch your Smart TV with Netflix served by BT superfast broadband, or listen to music on the iphone speaker. Then sleep in White Company pure cotton on the softest mattress toppers, in feather and down bedding in country calm lulled by the sound of the sea. Watch TV in both bedrooms. The double has an ensuite. Note that Bath and Beach towels are not provided. If you like to get active the garage can store surfboards, kayaks, climbing equipment etc and there is a garden hose to wash them down. A well appointed kitchen will keep enthusiastic cooks happy with a breakfast bar and sunny dining area adjacent for those who like to chat as they cook. Little ones are fully catered for with new highchair, junior chair, baby bath, cot, and mattress 122x60 and a walk to the beach little legs can easily manage. As you know your baby best the baby bedding is left for you to bring with you. Sofa throws are provided in case of sticky fingers. This is a year round rental so centrally heated and cosy after a wild cliff top walk. There is a fairly steep step to the front door, no grab rails and sofas only so comments have been made that it is not suitable for the less mobile and elderly. For electric cars there is a charging point nearby but charging at the property is not permitted. Trouble booking? check your computer has updated software IOS 14.2 normally on newer ones. If you like the look of this property but it is booked try my sister properties in the next road ref 8388535 or 8128195 with a Friday changeover meaning you can dodge the Saturday traffic rush.

Our 4th stay in this property and it never disappoints. The property is clean and well presented. Ideally located and well equipped with items you need for your stay.
This is our third time in WestCroyde and our 6th time staying in a property owned by Jane Baker.
As with all her properties it is well positioned for easy access to Croyde Village and the beach. There is ample parking and the accommodation is of a high standard. The decor is mostly in blues and whites to reflect a beachside setting. The garden is a bonus as it gets the sun from morning until night. We especially enjoy sitting under the gazebo with a drink on a sunny day.
The beds are comfortable. There aren’t any wardrobes in the bedrooms but there is plenty of drawer space. There is also a garage to store any luggage or wetsuits. There are two bathrooms which was a bonus as two couples were sharing the accommodation. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment should you wish to cook.
WestCroyde is ideal for couples of any age or a small family. As it’s a bungalow there’s no stairs to negotiate and it’s situated in a quiet cul de sac. Finally, it’s only a ten minute walk to the heart of Croyde Village and less than that to the beach. There’s also a bus stop at the end of the road to take you to Braunton or Barnstaple. We will definitely return
What an amazing property this is!
Amazing location. Super clean, fresh and airy as described, and the outdoor garden and dining area was the icing on the cake for the glorious days we had!
Jane has thought of everything to ‘have at hand’, and although I usually pack everything but the kitchen sink when we go self catering, I could have got away leaving it all behind.
We can’t wait to book again next time we come to Croyde. AMAZING!!

Having stayed at WestCroyde before we had no trouble finding the property. There is ample room on the driveway for most cars so we had no problems parking up.
Having been sent the code for the key safe, we easily let ourselves in.
Everything was clean, tidy and inviting. We soon unpacked and then took a cup of tea outside to sit under the pagoda and watch the wild birds who regularly visit the enclosed back garden.
The first night we chose to eat in. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to produce a meal.
We simply love coming to this property to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
Thanks also go to the handyman Gary who dropped in due to a faulty shower valve and of course Jane the owner who always makes us feel welcomed.
We will definitely be back next year
This was our 3rd visit to the property, and it never dissappints. Jane presents such a wonderful property that is welcoming, well equipped and perfectly located. The quality of fixtures and fittings is evident. A real home from home in which to base yourself for a holiday in North Devon. It's a 5 minute walk into the village, and a 10 minute walk to the beach.
Yet again, I really lovely stay. Location is incredible, as we can all walk to the beach, little ones included and even pop to the local pub/restaurant within a ten minute walk.
Love the place and it always feels like a home away from home with all the amenities you could ever need! Thanks again!!

We had previously stayed at two other of Janes properties so we already knew the quality of the accommodation would be excellent and we weren’t disappointed. From the minute we walked in we felt welcomed.
We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the layout of the bungalow and especially the lovely south facing garden with its new covered patio area, which we made use of daily. On a practical note, the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to prepare and cook a meal, is I wanted to.
I would definitely recommend staying here to couples or small family as it is safe and secure.
Indeed we loved it so much we are back here in September
Again a wonderful stay.
We love staying here, it's everything you could possibly want.
The owner is lovely and caring and if you have any problems they are sorted out very quickly.
Can't wait to return.
Lovely bungalow, in a great location, well equipped and modern but could have been cleaner. Toilet seat was heavily stained - host did arrange for her handyman to replace it but this should have been spotted and replaced before our arrival ideally. Also there are notes everywhere which I found a little strange. Garden is a proper sun trap, beach and pub are close by. We are regular visitors to Croyde and will be returning again next year.
Comfortable little bungalow with a nice garden to sit in. Although a double the bed was smaller than we are used to and the soft pillows were unfortunately too soft.
All in all a nice little property in a quiet area and easily within walking distance of pubs and shops.
Our 2nd time to this property and this year it was so reassuring to know we would be in a home from home setting, beautifully presented, immaculately clean and with wonderful attention to detail. We had a wonderful week and will be back next year.
Everything was spot on! My family and I had a fantastic time. Great amenities and location. Loved all the little touches, like the gorgeous while company bedding (so much that I had to order some myself). I have already booked again for next year - can’t beat it!!
This was our 3rd time staying in this property, which says alot in itself. Clean, bright, lovely decor and well equipped. Perfect location for beach and village centre. Has bonus of off street parking and a good sized garden getting the sun till the evening. Jane the owner regularly communicates and answers queries efficiently. Seriously couldn't ask for more in a holiday home. Croyde has a great beach, fantastic views, good pubs and has a very chilled vibe.
Had an excellent early season stay here with 2 pre- school children, quiet and safe environment. Equipped to a very high standard there was nothing we felt we missed. It was ( for us ) ideally located as you could easily walk into the village centre but a straightforward drive out towards saunton and beyond.
Great location for a relaxing break in North Devon
The cottage was nicely furnished, clean, well equipped and cosy. We had plenty of space for the two of us. We particularly enjoyed soaking up the evening sun in the loungers at the back. Cafes and restaurants in the village centre are only a short walk away as is the beach. The cottage benefits from being in a quiet cul de sac. All in all a great base for a relaxing break.
Clean, smart, well-equipped and great walking distance to Croyde & the beach
Jane is a great host - very conscientious and great communicator. The property is clean, smart, Jane's thought of everything, with a lovely garden and in a very convenient location. We really enjoyed our stay 😊
Lovely bungalow, near Saunton Golf Club which was fab. Village is lovely too, just very busy. Great restaurants and friendly people. Beach is stunning and a short walk away.
A really well appointed cottage, in easy walking distance from the beach and the village pubs and shops.
The cottage has a garage which is useful for storing wet surfing gear during your stay.
There’s also a nice sized garden, ideal for barbecues and relaxing when not in the sea.
Overall the cottage was a great base for our stay in North Devon, light and airy, with good sized bedrooms a well equipped kitchen.
We have just returned from the most wonderful week in this property. First booked pre-covid, we had to cancel our 2020 booking so have been looking forward to July 2021 ever since. The property didn't disappoint. It is every bit as gorgeous as the photos depict. The attention to deal and cleanliness are spot on. Everything feels like home from home.
A 10 minute walk (at the pace of a 3 year old!) to the beach and not dissimilar into the village. We were fortunate with the weather to be able to visit the beach every day and of course made good use of the ice cream shop!
Particular positives about the property aside from those already mentioned: fantastic showers, comfy beds with decent pillows and crisp white bedding and nice new kitchen appliances.
We can't thank Jane enough. She has been so supportive and communicative from the time we first made contact to book for summer 2020.
We can't wait to make a return visit in 2022 and are very keen that it is to this property.
We had a lovely time in Croyde, the property had everything that we needed and in the perfect location. It is a short walk to the beach and the shops. The outside space was good to be able to sort out the beach things and to sit outside and relax. We would recommend staying at this property.

About the host
Hosted by Jane Baker
I ran a successful B&B in my house in Croyde for 6 years to 2014 before starting my holiday letting business. Being a local girl having grown up in the area and lived in Croyde I know the area well. I've enjoyed meeting people from all over the country and have got a great deal of satisfaction from their reaction when they arrive at the B&B and from their enjoyment of my beautiful village.Through chatting with people on holiday I think I have grasped an understanding of what is generally important for a good experience. I also travel a lot so stay in all sorts of accommodation so I know what I would be looking for. I feel lucky to have the privilege of living in Croyde with everything it has to offer. For a small place it has a big personality. You will never be bored if you stay here. I oversee the changeovers myself to keep up standards. We like to add those personal touches which freshens things up. I have worked as an interior designer and love to create a warm welcoming home for you to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
This property is ideal for holidays being a short stroll from both the lovely sandy beach and coast path and the village with its pubs shops and restaurants as well as a stones throw from a pool, sauna, gym, jacuzzi. I just couldn't fault it. Then when I saw how well it had been renovated with all new fixtures and fittings and how light and airy it felt it was perfect. Add to that the generous level garden great for ball games and alfresco dining my mind was made up. Guests have fortunately been really pleased with it.
What makes this property unique
Conveniently positioned with all new mod cons I'm confident any guest will have a lovely holiday at this property. Croyde has everything for every personality and most requirements. Whether you want a quiet nature based experience, a sport mad one, like to be entertained or just want to chill this is your perfect base.
