LIVE OAK LODGE: Charming Cabin at THE ALEXANDER AT CREEK ROAD for 2-4 Guests

This cabin is so comfy, with a King bed and vintage lodge feel. There's a seating area (with streaming TV) which includes a sofa -- if needed for additional guests, it pulls out into a Queen sofa bed, linens included...and it's comfy, too!
Fantastic location, down the street from Camp Lucy, minutes to Downtown Drip and EASY access to all the venues, festivals, breweries, distilleries and wineries in the area. This cottage has rustic charm but with all the comforts you'll love! Wonderful king-sized bed, a beautiful stone shower and separate dressing area. A roomy dresser, and plenty of hanging space for your belongings. In the morning, a Keurig coffee bar is stocked with all the goods you need to get you going! Enjoy that coffee on your own front porch, which has a nice little bistro table, just waiting for you. At the Coffee Bar, there's also a mini-fridge and microwave! Plus, a great little living area with streaming TV, chair, and a sofa that pulls out into an incredibly comfortable queen bed. What else? An electric fireplace! This is one COZY cabin.
And outside? A Fire Table and more places to relax. Feel free to roam this beautiful acreage or take a walk on beautiful Creek Road. It's lovely here.

The other cottages on this Courtyard are Creek Road Cottage (817593) and Lucky Star (892497)!

We're pet-friendly with associated cleaning fee -- inquire!

A Quaint and Quiet Weekend

My husband and I had a much needed relaxing weekend in this quaint little cottage. The bed is so comfortable that I didn’t even notice my husband’s snoring. The country setting was amazing. Our cottage was super cute and cozy with all the amenities right down to the well stocked coffee bar for our morning cup of java. This property is perfect if you are looking to relax and rejuvenate.

Cozy comfy cute cabin close to

Loved the cabin and surrounding area. It was very peaceful sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The cabin had all of the necessary amenities, however, ad said bikes but they no longer have the bikes. The cabin was cute and comfortable. We really enjoyed this visit to the Hill Country and would stay here again.

It was perfect!

Michelle was very quick to reply to my questions when I was looking for a place last minute! We were looking for somewhere near Camp Lucy for a wedding and this couldn't have been better, only 3 miles down the road! The Live Oak cabin was absolutely adorable and there were many extra touches to make our stay comfortable. Very peaceful setting. Can't wait to stay at The Alexander again!

Such a great getaway from city life!

My fiancé and I stayed at this wonderful cabin in Dripping Springs and we were in love. It's located in an open area just outside of the town. You get complete quiet, an amazing view of the stars, and a short drive into town, to wineries, and olive oil tastings. The best of what Central Texas has to offer. We will definitely be back!

So peaceful and quaint!

This is a little gem if you are wanting somewhere quiet, cozy, and adorable to stay near Camp Lucy. I attended a wedding there for New Year's Eve, and it was so nice to drive less than five minutes down the windy road and be able to nestle here. The cottage is so precious with small details that make it feel like home. The bed and bedding were so comfortable, and that comes from two people who are very picky about sleep! Matt and Michelle responded to any needs immediately. It was perfect!

Lovely place to stay!!

I randomly found this site when looking for places to stay when in town for a local dressage clinic and to celebrate a friends 60th birthday. It could not have been more perfect, there are several different accommodation options, all very well appointed with much attention to detail making our stay very comfortable. Very peaceful, the outside areas surrounded by all of natures beauty. The owners are available for any need you may have but respect your privacy which is nice. Definitely a place I will have a return visit!!

Lovely and comfortable cottage. Kind and helpful hosts and gorgeous scenery!

The Alexander was easy to find back a lovely twisty country road. We were greeted by Matt, Michelle's husband, who was busy working in the 98+heat on a new shed for the property. We enjoyed a super friendly and welcoming chat and instructions for the cottage. We loved having a key code entry - no key or fob to misplace. Each cottage is in keeping with the others on the property and we found ours to be exactly as seen in the photos. Clean and pristine. I was happy to gobble down some of the delicious scones and a clementine orange as I was starving when we arrived. Matt also directed us to a couple of nearby Mexican restaurants. Thumbs up on the fresh margarita (sans sugar), guac & enchiladas. Stay here - it's charming and quaint at The Alexander on Creek Road. We look forward to seeing the property evolve over the years. jcs+cjs

excellent destination!

This place is very peaceful and accommodating. The cabin is adorable and very comfortable. We met Matt right away and he was always available for any questions or comments. We have always stayed in hotels in the past as Austin area is a yearly vacation for us. This time we decided to stay in a cabin atmosphere. We are sure glad we did!

Gorgeous and peaceful setting in the hill country!

My fiancé and I booked all three cabins for ourselves and each of our parents for the weekend of our wedding. Michelle and her husband took extra care of us and provided us with the most beautiful setting, great hospitality and personal attention to all of our needs. Had I known that this place was as gorgeous as it is (photos only show a small portion of its beauty), I would have had the wedding there. Our wedding was small and only consisted of immediate family so on the day of the wedding we asked if we could have the reception on their property and Michelle gladly said yes. Michelle and her husband set up extra tables, provided table cloths and said we could move outdoor furniture to suit our needs. They personalized little things on the property for our wedding and made our weekend so very special. We will most definitely return and we highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for everything that you did for us. We are eternally grateful. Kerry & Dan Schmidt

Adorable, extremely comfortable and clean!

We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin is very clean, comfortable and adorably decorated. Great A/C, which is important in the summertime. The beds, yes including the pull out sofa, are comfortable! The owners provided us with such great amenities, just to name one, Michelle knew we were bringing our three year old and made sure to stock the refrigerator with fresh fruit, juice, water and more! Keurig coffee for when you first wake up and yummy muffins. The location is quiet and beautiful. We roamed the property, played by the pond and enjoyed all the lovely seating and swings by our cabin. We loved the short drive from Dripping Springs and visited Perdanles Falls State Park which is right down the road. I can't say enough nice things about our stay here. I highly recommend coming here to relax! Thank you guys again!

Absolutely AMAZING

My husband and I stayed at the Alexander at Creek Road for the weekend for a wedding we were attending in Kyle, TX. This cottage was absolutely precious!! We absolutely loved it! It was a perfect location to everything we needed and wanted to do! We went to Waco one day and the drive there was not bad at all. It was the perfect weekend getaway for us! Michelle and Matt were absolutely amazing and so helpful! Michelle was there to answer our questions and was only a text message away! She made sure we had everything we needed and made our stay absolutely stress free! The cottage was absolutely the perfect size for us and it was decorated adorable!! It was definitely the cutest place we have ever stayed! Their property is breath taking. We watched the sun set and it couldn't have been more gorgeous. They have multiple cottages on their property and are building more and I can't wait to see what they will look like!! We definitely enjoyed our stay!! And we have told all of our families and friends about this beautiful place!! We WILL definitely be back and we can't wait!! Thank you Michelle and Matt for everything!!

Very nice!

We were in town to meet up with family. We have two small kiddos who don't do great in hotels. So we look for small places, just like this one, where they can run and be loud crazy kids. The cabin we stayed in was small but we all fit nicely, 4 and 6 yr old slept on the pull out happily. The owners had everything you could think of ready. The little fridge had juice for our kids, the cutest little bananas (which my daughter hasn't stopped telling people about) apples, muffins, scones, yogurt....seriously it was perfect. The beds were comfy too. The property was beautiful. The wildflowers were in bloom and the owners had even mowed a path around there acreage for the visitors to walk. The kids had a good time throwing rocks in the pond and we even spotted a snake! The owners, Matt and Michelle were very kind. They were outside working in the yard when we arrived. They were eager and happy to answer questions about where to eat and chat about the area. The cabins back up to the main house so there is a sense of "what's yours is mine" for a lack of better word. Which we enjoy. If you are looking for a small, clean, beautiful hill country, family oriented little get away. This is for you. Also it isn't too far away from "town" which is a plus too. Oh and one of the neighboring farms had wild turkeys in their front yard both mornings, we looked like real city folk calling to the turkeys (which did answer!!)

Comfortable lodging in a beautiful setting

The owners have created a very nice venue for a few days out of town. Convenient to Dripping Springs, yet remote enough to be peaceful. Enjoyed our visit there a lot.

About the host

Host profile image
I'm a Texas girl! And although my hubby, Matt (of more than a couple of decades) is from California, it didn't take him long to find his heart here. And we fell in love with this beautiful spot in the country! We've always enjoyed all kinds of "hosting", and we love sharing this with others. This place is a labor of love, and our guests can feel that.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property for so many reasons. And when we saw this spot, with the wet-weather tanks, beautiful oaks, and hill-country views, we couldn't wait to get here. There's nothing I enjoy more than morning coffee on the porch with an amazing sunrise or an afternoon on the swing under a big oak. And Dripping Springs is so charming, along with nearby artsy Wimberley just down the way. Such a neat, relaxed getaway from busy, groovy Austin!

What makes this property unique

You can enjoy the peace of the countryside, with the ability to be "in-town" in 10 minutes or in the big city of bustling Austin in just over a half-hour. Wimberley is just minutes away, and Fredericksburg just an hour! As for the accommodations, it's not your ordinary place: serene setting, lovely linens, hand-picked décor, attention to the details that will make you just plain happy. You'll see! We'll also have other cottages on-site: Guest Quarters (785910), Lucky Star (892497), Creek Road Cottage (817593), and The Country House (950087). All are private, but great for visiting!
