One bedroom barn with open plan living area, private patio/garden,great sunsets
If you are looking to escape to the country for a relaxing break, Sunset Barn is the place for you. Sunset Barn is tucked away at the bottom of a very quiet lane with countryside views all around. We are about a 30 min walk to The Dove restaurant and approx 25 min walk to The Wortwell Bell Pub where you will also find some great food. We are located in between the market towns of Bungay and Harleston, Beccles is also easily accessible along with the beautiful Southwold coastline. Norwich is a fabulous City to visit and is just 16.2 miles away. Bury St Edmunds is also a great place to visit. There's lots of places to cycle to and the biggest bonus for me is that most of the roads are flat :-) There are lots of beautiful countryside walks right on the door step. Canoes are available for hire in Bungay should you fancy a day on the Waveney River.
**Please note: If you have an electric car and wish to charge it at the barn there will be an extra charge **

Beautiful quiet and gorgeous sunsets.
Clean and tidy . A lovely welcome pack of eggs butter bread and milk. Everything at hand and a lovely setting at the end of a quiet lane. Great area for exploring Norfolk and Suffolk. Parking for your car and use of the hosts garage for your bikes if you bring them.
A gem of a cottage with fabulous views and relaxation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Barn. And the name says it all, we had some fabulous sunsets.
The wildlife was lovely to watch all day with the rabbits frolicking in the garden and the birds hopping all over collecting ants and other insects.
The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could need and immaculately clean.
Donna was lovely and greeted us on arrival and informed us on all the things to do and visit in the area.
We couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks for the lovely week we stayed at your cottage.
We had such a lovely time at this idyllic beautiful location.
Donna was the perfect host and made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.
The barn is lovely and has everything thing you need, and obviously the outside seating area (both of them) are a delight.
Just the sound of the birds, sheep and the occasional apple falling off the tree are all you hear..
Real peace and tranquility at a perfect holiday spot.
Thanks Donna 😊
We had a warm welcome from Donna who took the time to let us know about the area & places to visit.
The barn was perfect , very clean & Donna had provided some useful provisions.
The barn is situated in a perfect position, lots of walks from the cottage & not far from the main road for further trips. The local farm shop is a must.
We stayed for 4 nights and found the barn very comfortable in a very quiet location. Donna was the perfect host. Thank you Donna for allowing us to have a BBQ with my family in the garden.
Relaxing open plan well equipped accommodation opening onto a patio and large garden and open fields .
Communication with Donna the owner was excellent and she gave us a wealth of information. A great area for bike riding and visiting National Trust and RSPB.
We were delighted with the property which comes with amazing open skies and sunset .
Beautifully appointed cottage/barn. Great quiet location next to a farm. Sunsets are amazing from the designated patio area. Manager/owner was very helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend to anyone seeking a quiet restful getaway.

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway then the Sunset Barn is ideal!
We arrived late but we were still greeted by the host Donna who couldn’t have been more helpful by answering our questions very quickly.
The Sunset Barn was super clean with all the small necessities like tea and coffee etc taken care of.
We would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.
Thanks again Donna.
We have just returned from a lovely mini break in Sunset Barn. The cottage is a perfect size for a couple, immaculately clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. There is constant hot water and the heating warmed the rooms up really quickly when we needed it on. The outlook is beautiful and we enjoyed coffee in the garden watching the sheep in the field next door; it is in a very peaceful spot in the heart of the countryside and yet within easy reach of other places for shopping or exploring, and only 5-10 min drive from local pubs that do great food. We also sampled ale from the local brewery that do a 'drive through' on a Thursday and Friday evening! Donna was great, we booked very much at the last minute but she responded to emails really quickly and popped over to check all was well the first evening (didn't come in due to covid restrictions), she is just next door if you need her and had great tips for places to visit and eat etc. We really appreciated having some groceries left for us too. We absolutely recommend Sunset Barn for a break in this area of Norfolk.
Sunset Barn is in a great place, no traffic noise, no street lights and a lovely garden for evening drinks. The owner, Donna, gave us a great welcome with all the essentials of eggs, bread, milk and butter and it was very appreciated. There are excellent road links so we were able to easily access everywhere we wanted to go.
We had a wonderful stay for our 25th wedding anniversary. Beautiful barn in a beautiful setting. Our host Donna was very helpful with where to visit. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend . Thank you again xx
Delightful, discreet comfortable accommodation in a beautiful rural setting.
As our first holiday since the COVID lockdown we couldn’t have chosen a better location. From the friendly welcoming host Donna and the welcome provisions provided for us, to the spotlessly clean accommodation plus the location overlooking a beautiful rural landscape it was ideal for us. Sunset Barn was comfortable and perfect for 2. Alburgh is a quiet village which suited us well. Donna is the perfect host, from the beginning we had every confidence in her when we received friendly informative messages and our queries were answered promptly and fully. Highly recommended and yes we saw sunsets whilst enjoying a quiet glass or two.
Sunset Barn has everything for a lovely holiday.
Location and garden are lovely. The barn is cosy. Although it is small there is an agreable bath and there is everything you wish.
