Convenient location, clean property
Martins house was perfect for our needs. We could easily walk to Niagara Falls State Park and even across to Canada. The house was clean and in good repair. Martin met us at check in and was very friendly. The only downside is the neighborhood is a little rough. Martins house is nice, but there is an abandoned building next door and others nearby.

Great location... quite and well lite at night.
The place was very nice... property owner was very curteous and helpful. Always there to answer queations and give helpful hints/suggestions (even brought us an extra tv for the bedroom). The walk to the falls only took 10-15 mins (half mile away) and was mainly flat .

Excellent location and pet friendly
Martin was an excellent host, and the location was perfect for visiting the falls - both sides. Additionally, it was nicely kept and very power friendly - we travel with a big dog and I't is not always easy to find a place for large dogs.

Friendly Knowledgable Host!
We were greeted upon arrival and was extremely happy about the property. We have our two pups who felt right at home. Third rental was clean and very pretty friendly. Treats and bowls were left out and had ample menus for eating out. Our host was very accommodating and very friendly. We will definitely stay in this rental on our return in the future.

Martin is a wonderful host! Very close to falls!!
Martin was an incredible host ! Very friendly accommodating and flexible ! He allows us to check in earlier to accommodate the needs of our Golden Retriever. Gave us clear directions advice about where to eat and made us feel at home. Martin also gave us so much privacy he lives upstairs but you won’t even notice unless you need him. The neighborhood is safe and nothing beats how close you are to everything including the falls, trails, and even the Aquarium 2 blocks away! The home is clean and has everything you need including a keurig ! Will stay again with Martin when in the area .

Great location in Niagara, Dog Friendly
Martin was an excellent host in every way. Super prompt response to all communications. Well equipped kitchen, nice fireplace, and two blocks to the Aquarium. Maybe six minute drive to the Falls, or maybe 20 minute walk to the park. We asked if he had a Keurig (he didn’t) but he went out and got one! We had like 8” of snow one night, and after doing the sidewalk, Martin even dusted our car off! Way above and beyond the call. Thank You Martin!

Family trip
Chose to stay in VRBO because wanted room for two teenagers. Didn’t know which side of Niagra to stay on . Chose the American side. Industry has left the area so didn’t expect It to be so closed down . However, this VRBO was nice , clean , and helpful owner. Was easy to walk to the Rainbow Bridge and walk to Canada every day . Our one day tour of seeing both was easy and we were picked up at the VRBO. I just like VRBO’s instead of hotels to really see the area. I did enjoy the trip to Niagra.

July 4th weekend
After looking the place up on the map, I will admit that I wondered at the property description saying it was within walking distance to the attractions...for my family. (We are not the most energetic family at times! Lol) However, I was pleasantly surprised when we got there and started walking around. The Falls were really within walking distance, even for us! Everything on the NY side really was. And you can walk over to the Canada side as well from the property. Martin was very helpful in answering questions and making suggestions while we were there. We enjoyed our stay immensely. If traveling there on July 4th, expect traffic. We did not have any issues on any other day. Checking out of Martin's property was easier than most, for which we were grateful since we were leaving about 5am. Thank you Martin!

Not what I thought
Martin was very friendly. There is a code for the front door so you don’t need a key which is very nice. When we got there the front door was wide open which concerned me. The house could be really cute but it was filthy dirty. Martin had mentioned that he had a dog so there were muddy paw prints all over kitchen floor it looked like the place had not been dusted in a VERY LONG TIME. The front entrance looked like it had salt built up from the winter months. The neighborhood was less pleasing also not a very good area, but how do you know that when booking a place.

Great location, quaint older home
We really enjoyed our stay and our host Martin. This is an older home in a culturally diverse neighborhood. We didn't have any problems in the area. The home was clean, well stocked, and Martin was very responsive when we had questions. Beds were comfy too. The location is super great for access to the Falls. You can walk to the aquarium easily and only a short drive to other areas. I recommend the $3 trolley hop on/off. This is a really nice way to get around and hear the history of the Falls. The Anchor Cafe in the Holiday Inn was great (home of the original Buffalo wings) and Main Street cafe was a little gem we found for breakfast. The Buffalo airport is about a 40 min drive, and we had no problems getting there for our departure. Would definitely recommend.

A great alternative to local hotel chains!
This is a little gem nestled in the heart of Niagara Falls. It's within walking distance of all the attractions, yet somehow feels away from it all at the same time. It was cozy, clean and comfortable, and had some good space to spread out. Martin is a wonderful host. Being a 'local' himself, he could recommend places to visit that aren't always in the tour books! He was also VERY flexible and accommodating with our check-in and check-out times. All in all, I highly recommend a stay at this sweet apartment!

Felt like home
I hesitate to write this review only because I would like to keep this place as our own little secret get away. But in fairness to our host, who was so welcoming, I will share our experience. We loved being able to walk to the falls. Our kids liked being able to ride their bikes and scooters there, too. It's about a 2 walk block through the neighborhood then a little less than a mile along the gorge to get to the main observation area. I could rave about how great the falls and all the attractions were, but those reviews can be found elsewhere. The house was cozy and well equipped. We comfortably slept 4 adults and 4 small kids. The bedrooms were plenty big enough for cots (available in the house) and cribs (we brought). The kitchen was adequate and we ate all our meals there or packed food to eat at the falls. Everything was clean and well kept. Martin (our host) was very available, thoughtful and accommodating. I really can't say enough good things about him. I felt like I was visiting an old friend! We thought the neighborhood was fine. There is no longer a boarded up house across the street as another reviewer had noticed. We locked things up when we left as we would anywhere, but I think I also felt safer because the host was on site in the apartment upstairs. In fact, our children played with some of the neighborhood kids and other neighbors greeted us as we made or frequent trek to the falls. At then end of our stay I was sorry to say goodbye to Martin, his neighbors and of course the beautiful falls!

Location location location!
Very much enjoyed our stay at Martin’s place. Incredible location for Niagara Falls sightseeing, truly a few blocks from the action. Comfortable home with amazingly hospitable host. Martin goes out of his way to ensure that you have absolutely everything you need. Some reviews said area is a bit sketchy but I felt totally safe and comfortable- we even walked to the falls to see the night time lights. I highly recommend this Home. Thanks Martin for a very nice stay at this incredible attraction.

Martin is very nice, the house is fine but the neighborhood is a bit sketchy
We spent two nights visiting the sights in Niagara. Martin met us and showed us around the house (he lives upstairs) and gave us tips for things to do, see and places to eat in the area. He is very friendly and helpful. He has also added room air conditioners to the bedrooms so it was easy to keep a comfortable temperature and the beds were comfortable as well. Overall, it was a pleasant visit. While we didn't have any issues; the one negative surprise was that the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Other than the strip of tourism related businesses along the Falls, things are in general run down with abandon houses, and buildings even right across the street.

A great place and close to everything!
Martin is a wonderful host who immediately welcomed us as we arrived. The aquarium is a block away and the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center is located just behind it where you can catch the Trolley that takes you to Niagara Falls State Park and stops at all the main attraction. $3 for adults, $2 for kids and free for 5 and under. If you buy the Niagara Discovery Pass that includes the Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, Welcome center movie, Aquarium and the Niagara Gorge Discovery center, the Trolley is included! The house is very nice and clean. the beds were very comfortable and having the fire pit out back was a plus. There was 4 lawn chairs and a picnic table on the back patio. The kitchen has all the small appliances need. There could be more cooking utensils and there were no linens for the kitchen, we had to use a hand towel from the bathroom. There is a large supermarket, Topps, a few blocks away for anything you need for your stay. There is a parking rule at night you must abide by or there is a chance you can get a ticket. Alternate parking to each side of the road every night. This home ends in an even number so you park on the house side of the street on even number days and the opposite side of the street on odd number days. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!! Thank you for opening up your home to us!!

Fabulous host, nice place!
We had a very nice two-night stay. Martin was fabulous, giving us lots of great tourist advice in advance of our stay and welcoming us in person when we arrived. We had two families of friends with five kids coming from different states to enjoy time together while we saw Niagara Falls, and having a house with plenty of seating and a kitchen made it MUCH more pleasant and relaxing than two hotel rooms. The king and queen beds were very comfortable memory foam mattresses. The kitchen had everything we might have needed. One of our party had trouble walking great distances so we drove to the attractions, but you could easily walk it as well (and avoid the parking fees downtown). Two thumbs up!

Clean, comfortable, conveniently located, with gracious host.
We enjoyed our short stay at the falls. The home was clean, and the beds were very comfortable, and Martin was very accommodating. The aquarium is just a block away, and if you don't mind a stretch of the legs, the falls are a short walk away. There are buses that for $3 for the day will take you to the falls leaving from the aquarium. Great breakfast dive around the corner called whys. Two huge breakfasts and coffee for $7. Great food, ambiance not so good, but we came for the food.

A comfortable place very near to the falls
We were 8 people including 2 kids. We had a good 2 nights' stay here. the house is kept well with great furnishings and the kitchen is very well equipped. The neighborhood is calm. It is at a walkable distance from Niagara falls. Martin, the owner, was very helpful. He even offered us some left over passes for Niagara. Cars can be parked right in front of the house on the street. There is an alternative thing about parking. Residents are required to park on one side of the road one day and on the next side the next day. It needs to be strictly followed. I got a parking ticket for forgetting to do this, but its entirely my fault. Parking is free and its great as you can park right in front of your house. There is a good backyard. However, we could not use it as we have to access it from the main entrance and walk to back of the house. There may be a door at the back of the house, but we were not given keys to it as we were told that it has access to the stairs too, which go to the 2nd floor where the owner stays. What we also missed was a wine bottle opener. Overall, apart from the tiny glitches, we enjoyed the stay thoroughly. The fact that Niagara is at a walkable distance drove us to go on all sorts of Visits of Niagara, cave of the winds, maid of mist, aquarium, etc. I would recommend this place, although a bit pricy, worth the stay if you want to thoroughly enjoy Niagara falls.

Don't let the surrounding neighborhood scare you! Quiet, clean, and comfortable, this gem is steps away from the Aquarium and all the Fall's park has to offer. Martin is a charming, caring, and accommodating host, who went out of his way to make sure we had everything that we needed to enjoy the area. Thank you, Martin! Will be back.
