We really enjoyed our stay although we were there during there during the pouring rain and 80mph winds of Storm Dennis. We all got horribly wet but thanks to the many and very efficient radiators we were able to dry out, and were able to warm up with hot baths and cosy beds. We were there also with a toddler who loved the staircase, his cot, and the view out of the window onto the animals in the farmyard and fields opposite. Having an attractive short cut through to Rosthwaite, and having the hourly bus turn-around only yards from the front door were also a great convenience
