We had a great stay here. The view from the back is amazing. The house was well supplied and had a lot of room. The basement was great with the ping pong and pool table. The owner did a good job communicating with us and was quick to respond to any questions.
If you are looking for a beautiful, clean comfortable home away from home, this rental is for your family. Lots of room, games, and still quiet privacy to read if that’s your thing. Great home, and host. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We hopefully can return in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very beautiful and quiet neighborhood in the mountains. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck enjoying the view while reading and playing games or cards. We used the outside gas grill and cooked out almost every evening meal. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. Overall a very positive experience.
Beautiful home with an amazing view! Most activities were within a 30 minute drive. Plenty of room for oru party of 9! Would love to return in the fall to see the trees changing colors!
My parents and aunts and uncle stayed for my nephews wedding at the vineyard a few minutes away. The view was beautiful and the house was charming. We had a great time!
The entire family loved the house. We appreciated the above average cleanliness, lovely decor, great a/c and many amenities it offered. It’s peaceful and spacious with a really great kitchen. We enjoyed the outdoor seating very much, as the view is amazing. We saw deer from the deck and also a small fox. It’s located near many great hikes waterfalls, etc. Also fairly close to the Smoky Mountain National Park. We were so glad we found this house. Thanks very much.
This is a hidden jewel. The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and one 4yo. The view is amazing. The kitchen well stocked which means a lot because we actual cook a lot. I hope to be able to return again one day and will definitely suggest to friends.
This property is priceless. Comfortable and relaxing with lovely finishes. The kitchen has everything you need. The game room was a hit with our younger guests. And the upstairs tv and sitting area was cozy and enjoyable. The driveway was a little intimidating, at first, but a mid-sized SUV and large Dodge truck made it in and out several times without mishap, entering nose first or backing in. And the view is definitely a little bit of heaven!
This house had everything our 2 families with teen boys needed. There was plenty of bed space for everyone. Teens hung out upstairs in the loft living area or in the basement area playing pool or ping pong which they loved. They in-house speaker system was fun, too. The kitchen was very well equipped with every item we needed, plus when we arrived there were already a few spices and a little coffee which helped out immensely. The view from the front porch was lovely and I really enjoyed hanging out there. We would stay here again.
The house was amazing. The view was even better. It’s so peaceful at night on the deck while having coffee and to watch the fog lift up out of the valley below in the morning. We stayed at the house most of the time and we had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This is the second time we have stayed at this home when we bringing our friends here in hunt for Rubies & Sapphires. The house is always ready , clean, and the view is awesome. There was s plenty of room for everyone. Thanks for sharing your home with us again.
Beautiful home with the most amazing views. Extremely clean, lots of room. The hosts have thought of everything. Road is a little narrow so arrive during the daylight. Drive can be a little tricky but just follow the directions.
The house was warm and inviting! It was so perfect and the views were to die for. We made the mistake of bringing a big vehicle lol but we made it work!
We enjoyed a family reunion which included ages 20-76. So much fun playing ping pong, pool, and card games. The house is beautiful and well appointed but the view was over the top. We spent much time out on the deck.
This property is great for entertaining with family. There's something for all ages! The driveway is a little tricky but nothing to be scared of. It's paved and smooth. The owners were so nice! Can't wait to book it again! If you're thinking of booking, do it, you won't regret this one.
House was amazing! Teenagers loved the surround sound stereo throughout the house. pool table and ping pong. Everything was clean and well stocked. Porch view was beautiful!! We went horse back riding, zip-line and gem mining all which were within about 30 minutes from the house. Thank you Nancy for sharing your amazing house with us. As for reviews worried about the drive way.. we have a full size crew cab 2500 Ram and we chose to back down and back up and it worked perfect for us. Amazing place… and Nancy responds quickly if needed.

Why they chose this property
In the late 70's we helped our parents build their first NC Mountain home in Robinsville. After my father-in-law passed away we encouraged Mom to sell the Robinsiville home. It only took us a few years to realize how much we missed the beautiful NC Mountains. We decided that we were always taking day trips from remote Robinsville to Franklin where it seemed everything was happening. It only made sense to build the next house in the beautiful quaint town of Franklin. We took the plans from the original house and expanded it and made it a true NC home. We designed it to accommodate our own family reunions. There is plenty of space for the whole gang and lots to do right at the house or in the surrounding area. Our view will knock your socks off and secluded enough that you feel like you are the only ones on the mountain. We never intended to rent our home so this home is a little nicer than most, with Corian counter tops and upgraded appliances. We decided to share it with others as it was a shame to not have it used until we can be up there full time.
What makes this property unique
Our favorite activities at our 'Little Bit of Heaven' is: Eating meals out on the deck and watching the sun set. Taking walks after dinner on the quiet road in front of the house.
I love challenging what ever guests or family to a game of pool in the evening. I must say my personal favorite is to wait until everyone has gone to bed and sit out on the deck and watch the lights of the town of Franklin. It is so quiet and the solitude is indescribable!!
We also like going to 'Picking on the Square' on Saturday nights in Franklin. We love going white water rafting on the Nantahala. Our goal is to learn to Fly Fish in the local streams. We also like finding new places to hike and my personal favorite is to photograph all the cool waterfalls in the area.
