Quaint villa in Esentepe area
The villa is located in Esentepe village on the eastern side of the main road where mostly expat families have their villas. It is at the end of a cove which gives privacy and also has better views of hillside and the sea. The view from the pool area is very nice and there is a nice breeze coming through unobstructed due to location of the particular villa.
There are three potential patio areas to choose from. We mainly sat by the pool due to the view and used the patio umbrellas available for shade. Inside the villa, it is decorated with taste. The kids loved the pool and we spent most of the time there. If you are interested in the beach, it is accessible but you need to plan 15-20 minutes to drive down the road to go to a local beach, for example the famous Alagadi Turtle Beach which is nearby.
The village center is about 10 minutes by car and has the necessities like a supermarket. It is a relatively small village and has relatively limited options for restaurants if you plan to eat out on a regular basis. The owners provided a nice welcome package which was really appreciated to serve a breakfast before heading out to get food and other items.
Owners were quick to respond to messages, and had local contact Donna who answered questions and helped with anything that came up. Overall, I think this was a good value and recommend for a family vacation.
