Beautiful Chalet!
Chalet was extremely well appointed. Lovely contemporary finishes. Very spacious (we were four adults and two children). Ski-in / ski-out was a massive bonus. Good location for a short walk into the village. For us it was perfect, we couldn’t ask for more.

First Time to Switzerland Jungfrau Region
Our stay in Wengen was wonderful. The property is spacious, clean and well laid out. Communication with Julie (property owner) was always easy and timely. We were missing a few basic essentials that were not in the apartment (napkins/paper towels, coffee pods) but that was easily resolved. We also had to request some adapters because two new kitchen appliances had Italian plugs with Swiss currents in the wall. Lastly, my only suggestion for. clarification in the listing would be to make the 600 meter hike from the train station to the apartment very clear that it is principally a steep uphill in high elevation, so might want to suggest taking taxi up the hill with luggage, especially for older tenants or those will medical conditions. After a long journey, walking luggage up that hill was quite the task. Otherwise, everything was just about perfect! Thank you so much, Julie!

A trip which made us fall in love with Wengen!
We absolutely loved our stay here. Sitting eating fresh apple strudel on the terrace staring at the snow-capped mountains in the blue sky whilst listening to the cow-bells ringing was like something from a fairy tale! The Chalet was perfect, spacious, spotlessly clean and modern. We mostly ate out in Wengen but the kitchen had everything you would need to cook for yourselves. The views were amazing. Having a washing machine made a real difference too in the middle of a long multi-stay trip. In fact everything was so fantastic that although this was our first trip to Switzerland it won't be our last - we are about to book the same chalet again for next year! Wengen was friendly, it had all the facilities we needed and there were lots of beautiful places to visit in the area. Julie at Wengen apartments was very responsive to all our questions and provided us with any information we needed. We cannot recommend Wengen apartments or Chalet Brunner 2 enough for a family holiday. Nothing - it was fabulous!

Wengen chalet
The views of the Swiss Alps cannot be beat! Views from every window. Weather was fantastic in July and accommodations were perfect for 3 couples. Hiking up steep hill is a must to & from chalet Brunner into town & trains.

Fabulous in every respect
We had a wonderful stay in Wengen. Chalet Brunner was perfect size for our family of 6 easy access to ski and grocery. Julie is super responsive and committed to being a great host - we had a tiny emergency (ski injury) that she helped us to solve within an hour. Highly highly recommend this chalet and host - this is our third experience in Wengen and it's amazing every time.

All-in-all our experience with Wengen Apartments was excellent and very attentive. From the booking, the payment of the rent, the information regarding travel, access, ski passes, train, taxi, etc. The apartment was great, at a good location, nicely modern and well equipped. Very easy to remain in contact with you, always a quick reply.

Well-equipped, comfortable chalet with beautiful views of surrounding mountains.
The chalet was very comfortable for our two couples. We loved the patio for afternoon “happy hour.” Walking down to town for the trains to Murren, Schilthorn, & Jungfraujoch was so easy; walking back at the end of a long day challenged our weary muscles. We had the pleasure of being there for bringing the cows down from high pastures. A few housekeeping glitches were brought to the attention of the manager, but did not impact our stay.

Great apartment!
This is a great apartment for a large family! Julie was great. Very responsive and communicated well. Apartment was very nice, clean and spacious. My only negatives were that it is a bit of a hike to run to the grocery store, the dryer in the basement is very slow to dry and they need to add a larger pot to the kitchen. I tried to make spaghetti for dinner and had to use two small sauce pans. Overall, I would highly recommend though! The view of the Jungfraujoch from the apartment patio is AMAZING!

Fantastic place to stay!
We stayed at Chalet Brunner 2 in early June 2017. We had two adult couples and two college-aged children. The apartment was perfect. There were 2.5 bathrooms and we had no issues with hot water, even taking back-to-back showers. It was really nice (compared to some other places we have stayed) to have such bathroom space. The overall apartment was large with a big common living area and kitchen in addition to the three bedrooms. We used the outside porch for several meals and enjoyed the view. We watched a movie one evening, choosing one from the nice supply of DVD's that Paul had stocked at the Chalet. Internet access was reliable and fast. We were on a multi-stop trip and did several loads of laundry using the washer/dryer. As far as we could tell, these were shared for the chalet and located in the basement, but easy access, clean and convenient. The machines were always available when we wanted them. We had never been to Wengen before and didn't do much research so didn't really know what to expect. We loved it and would definitely go back. As those of you who are better informed know, the village is not lacking in any convenience and has many restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, etc. Wengen is not a roughing-it experience, but a luxury one. One warning to those that are cost-sensitive (as I am) is that all the restaurants are expensive. The saving thing for me was the grocery store called the "coop". Food costs were not that different than in large cities and we ended up buying food and cooking at the Chalet for all of our meals. The Chalet kitchen was well equiped and capable of all our needs. Before going, I was worried about the "650 meters" from the train station to the Chalet - as an American I kept trying to convert it to miles and wondered if it would be a mountain-climb to reach the Chalet. Turns out it was no problem. Smooth paved road all the way, we rolled our carry-on luggage smoothly. The distance (though uphill a bit) was no problem and we are not in shape. We had no hesitation to go from the Chalet to the village center and back several times per day. We mainly hiked, doing the cable car up to Mannichen then the trail to Kleine-Scheidegg (downhill all the way) and train back to Wengen. Beautiful hike! We were only in Switzerland for a few days, so I didn;t buy the half-price train card, so each ticket I bought was expensive. Be careful to do the math on each ride you want to take to see if you need one.

We just didnt want to leave
We have just arrived home from wonderful Wengen and we want to return NOW.Nestled high in the Swiss Alps its like a picture you would expect to see on a box of christmas chocolates.Surrounded by mountains with views down into the valley, no cars, pretty village houses and the pretty mountain village with its quaint shops and restaurants just a short walk away. The small mountain railway takes you up to the fabulous Eiger and if you want to keep going, up to the highest railway station in Europe, and the views are just incredible. The chalet itself was wonderful, spotless, fabulously equipped and very comfortable,we sat in out T shirts inside whilst the snow fell outside. Its very modern so the kitchen and bathrooms are top knotch, couldnt fault anything and its very well furnished. If you are skiing its right on the slopes, plus we will definately return one summer as its in just the right place to expore all the mountain walks, infact your right on them. Wengen is one of the places in the world you must visit and I promise you you will not be dissapointed and Chalet Brunner is the place to stay to enjoy all it has to offer.Dear owners, thank you again and thank you for all your assistance leading up to our visit it was most helpful. We will return.

Brunner 2
The flat itself was clean and well-maintained. My only comment is that we arrived in Wengen at 6:40 p.m. We were staying at an off-peak time, mind you, but the village is a bit of a ghost town. The grocery store was closed for the evening, and it was difficult to find a place to eat. There were no taxis in sight, and this flat is up a steep mountain and a good 10-15 minute walk from the train. When we arrived at the flat, we were dismayed that there was absolutely no soap available, and there was nowhere to buy the soap until the next morning. I don't recommend visiting Wengen at an off-peak time, as all the warm weather paths were all closed, but the cold weather paths aren't open yet for the season [despite inches of snow]! In an off-peak time, you would be much better off staying in Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken or someplace bigger, that has more to do.

Perfect is an understatement
Traveling with my mother and 2 sisters, Chalet Brunner was the absolute perfect accomodation for us. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location with the Jungfrau off the back terrace, and the quaint village of Wengen with restaurants and grocery shopping just a few minutes down the hill. The property is spacious for 6, immaculately maintained, and of course the owner Paul was extremely accomodating in making our plans. We hope to return soon! I highly recommend a visit to the Schilthorn, then hike from Murren to Gimmelwald and tram down to the valley for a stop at Trummelbach Falls...a great day of activities.
