Our family came together from Seattle, Tahoe and Florida to have an awesome ski vacation. The house was perfect for us! 2 minutes to the ski resort and walking distance to numerous restaurants. Grant had the place perfectly cleaned, well stocked and the hot tub hot!
Me and two of my buddies stayed here for a long snowboard weekend. The home was perfect, has all the amenities required for a great trip. Very clean hot tub, perfect for after a long day on the mountain. We used the gas fire pit that was super easy to light. Very close to really great food. If bringing food up, I would stop in Anchorage if coming from the Airport, it's quite expensive, or maybe that was just the beer, lol. Had an amazing stay. Highly recommended.
Can't imagine anyone would be disappointed after staying here. This place has everything you could need for a great snowboard weekend in Girdwood, and then some! Well appointed and thoughtfully designed in a way that you don't tend to find everywhere, especially not from those big rental corporations. The outside amenities (sauna, h tub and fire pit) were perfect for our small group of friends that tries to ride like people half our age and then has to actively recover later. Also it meant more time we could spend more time outside, which is ideal because nobody visits AK to stay inside. Also great location only a short walk to the store and downtown restaurants. The town shuttle also passes right by and can stop at the house if you ask the driver. The host is responsive and kind. I fully intend to return and hope to rent again.
Clean, well stocked, with plenty of room for our group of six adults. Paved walkway leads to local restaurants, store, brewery, and hiking trails a short distance away. Easy drive should you decide to go into Anchorage, but really why would you?
House was super nice and exactly as advertised with perfect location to little Girdwood town and mountain. Host was great! Recommend for Alyeska stays.
Great property, owner was prompt with check-in instructions. House is easy to find, well stocked, and very clean. Fire pit was accessible, easy to use, games, plenty of everything we needed!!
Thank you for sharing your home with us during our short stay in Girdwood. Very clean and well furnished property with plenty of room for our group of 6 adults.
The house was beautiful. Clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, sweet firepit, easy to get to and close to hiking and skiing. Everything was really nice. It was a perfect addition to our Alaskan vacation! The property owner really had some great tips for activities and restaurants too!
This beautiful home was conveniently located and decorated so cute! It is set up to be comfortable for 4 adults and a couple of kiddos. We were fortunate to hit a beautiful weekend in Alyeska, and it doesn't get any better than this!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home. Comfortable beds, easy parking/access, great location, fully stocked kitchen and laundry. The record player was an indoor hit and the cornhole and firepit was the outdoor fun. Our stay in Grant's home was the highlight of our Alaska Adventure.
This home was beautiful. It had all the amenities of being home. There was nothing we needed that it didn’t have.
The fire pit was a favorite of ours. We had our morning coffee out there and ended our day relaxing by the fire. We didn’t cook much. But there was plenty of spices if you want to. The pots and pans are wonderful as well.
Everything was perfect.
This house was absolutely perfect for my friends and I. We were in Girdwood for a wedding, which was just a short walk down the road. We could also walk to restaurants and the grocery store. The 3 bedrooms accommodated us very well, and the house was clean and really comfortable to stay in. The host, Grant, was easy to communicate with and really friendly. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this VRBO to anyone!
The whole place was incredibly tastefully decorated!! I loved all of the ski themed decor, dishes, bathroom accessories. It made me want to come back in winter to ski instead of August. We enjoyed coffee and a beverage by the outdoor fire pit one afternoon. There was lots of space, bathrooms and bedroom and space to hang clothes/jackets in the laundry room was an awesome plan. There was lots to do right there at the property, we just had over planned events away from the place. A beautiful home away from home for my husband and I and our adult children and spouses.
My daughter got married at a greenhouse in Indian about 15 miles away from Girdwood, so we rented this place for the bridal party. It was well equipped and very comfortable. The owner had fun with the ski theme, everything was super cute and you had a sense of place. The fire pit outside was stunning, warm and very chic. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Loved it.

I moved to Anchorage from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2007 after falling in love with AK. This home is my second home that I use frequently the winter and in the summer when it's not rented out. I have been to 42 countries around the world and Girdwood is one of my favorite places in the world.
Why they chose this property
This is a beautiful home with all new amenities that can sleep seven people in five beds. The location is great for all the best that Girdwood has to offer. Many out of state guests will use this home as a home base for a weeks worth of Alaska adventures. It's an easy and beautiful drive to Anchorage (about 35 miles away). It's about a one hour drive to the Kenai River which has some of the best salmon and rainbow trout fishing in the world. It's about 10 miles from Bird creek which also has great salmon fishing. It's about 15 miles from Whittier which offers amazing boat tours, fishing trips, kayaking and wildlife viewing. Girdwood has some amazing hikes, a downhill mountain bike park in the summer and great winter skiing and helicopter skiing and summer tours. Seward is a day trip and offers and amazing aquarium in a cute town with great boating and fishing. This house is a 10 minute walk to the Double Musky which is rated as the #1 restaurant in Alaska and the house is about a 15 minute walk to the Girdwood Brewery. The list goes on and on of amazing things to do in Girdwood and the surrounding area.
What makes this property unique
This is a warm and inviting ski themed home in a great location, walking distance to restaurants and the local brewery. There is an amazing covered firepit area in the back yard and there will also be a covered hot tub there too starting in December 2023!
