One bedroomed luxurious cottage set in grounds of Thirley Cotes Farm
Holly Cottage is part of a collection of Grade II listed Thirley Cotes Farm cottages and could not be situated in a more picturesque location – on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and just a short distance from the sandy beaches of Scarborough and Whitby.
The cottage provides accommodation for couples or a small family, offering open plan living and traditional features. While the private hot tub and enclosed terrace provides the perfect place to relax and re-charge your batteries. Dedicated parking and electric car charging is also accessible on site and we welcome one large or two small dogs (due to the layout of the property no exceptions can be made).
The enclosed terrace garden and private hot tub are just perfect to sink into under starry skies – after a day spent exploring the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors and Coast. The neighbouring four-acres of enchanting woodland are also available for you to stroll around and there’s a stream and a pond nearby. Please note children must be supervised at all times. Be sure to make the most of the Weber BBQ and enjoy the warmer weather while you dine. We also have a small shared games room onsite.
There is also an outdoor play area perfect for young children, a dedicated picnic space and indoor games room. Surrounded by 4 acres of private woodland to explore, complete with a babbling stream and large fenced wildlife pond in adjacent grounds, for time spent watching our resident wildlife.
The Cottage Escapes office is based at Thirley Cotes Farm, so staff are on hand to welcome you and provide help and guidance during your stay. All fuel, power bed linen and towels are provided. We also offer a welcome pack of milk, biscuits, coffee, wine and bread.

What makes this property unique
Right outside the door of this North Yorkshire cottage is a table and chairs for morning coffee (or just to sit and listen to the bird song) and private hot tub set in the patio garden, complete with Weber barbeque. To the side of the property is an enclosed lawn (perfect for four-legged friends) and if little ones are feeling adventurous, there’s an outdoor play area and indoor games room, complete with pool table, table hockey and table tennis. Or why not get back to nature? After all, Thirley Cotes Farm is the perfect base for an outdoor adventure or spot of wildlife watching and you may just catch a glimpse of our resident barn owl.
