Last minute special/Ocean Front/ Pool, Pool Table/pet friendly

--SEA GULL COTTAGE--is located Ocean Front at Mile post 17.5 on the Beach Road in lovely South Nags Head.

Perfect for your family or group. Sea Gull has 6 bedrooms and 3 baths and sleeps up to 20 people on three levels.

A golden sandy beach kissed by the Atlantic Ocean is just a short walk on our private wooden walkway.

On The top floor, you will find the Master bedroom with King bed and full bath. You will also be able to access the Screened in porch and Deck with steps leading to your Private Pool and short walk to the Beach.

Your fully equipped kitchen has extra amenities like a Keurig coffee maker, a Crockpot, Blender, Mixer, Seafood Steamer pot! There is all you need to keep your hungry family happy!

Just threw a passage way just off the kitchen and dining area you will come to the new game room. This is where you will find the pool table and board games.

Off the game room, is a large covered porch with furniture for outside dining as well.

The airy living room is equipped with Comfortable furnishings and a 65 inch SMART TV with DVD player and cable.
For private viewing, there are Smart TV's in each bedroom. (TV's in bedroom's do not have cable. They are only for streaming.)

Enjoy your Private Swimming Pool. It's a Great place to unwind without the Inconvenience of Sand.(Pool opens March 25 and Closes October 31)

Outside is a charcoal grill and a Fully Enclosed Shower.

There is even has a fenced in area for your furry family!

While you are here, Be Sure to Slow Down and View Our Famous Outer Banks Sunrises and Sunsets!

1. During the summer season, this house has a Saturday check in day. Please enter your request dates accordingly.*
2. College students and anyone 27 or younger considered on a "case by case' basis. If you are under the age of 27, you must submit an inquiry first. You are not allowed to "Instant Book".
*NO Underage Renters Will Be Allowed during June, July, and August.*
3. PET FEES and other optional items are NOT INCLUDED in price, but Can be Added . See below.

Valentines Day Trip
Took the family and dog. Nice place. very spacious and comfortable. Close to the ocean for walking and many choices for fun stuff to do and restaurants recommend showing up before dark. definitely would go back.

Great house for a large family or two families
The house was adequate. It doesn't have that awe factor, but it definitely not a dump. In my opinion, it is ready for some repairs, minor touch ups and TLC. However, it is a beach house. It is perfect for families with kids with plenty of bedrooms. If a minor incident happen inside the residence, I seriously doubt it would be noticed, because it is not in pristine condition.

November beach trips with pups
My husband, I, and our 2 pups stayed for a extra long weekend at the sea gull cottage and we really enjoyed our stay! We love obx and It was our pups first time at the beach and they loved it as well! Close to everything, clean and as described! Would recommend!

EXCELLENT PROPERTY! FABULOUS WEEKEND
Stayed for the weekend of my Birthday. Location was great as its oceanfront with a quick walk to the beach. This is an older house but for the most part well kept. Kids loved the pool table. My only complaint would be that its loud having the pool table up on the top floor but i see why they did it to get more beds in the house. Have been going to the Outer Banks for years and love it down there. Would definitely stay here again.

We had such a wonderful time...
Even though it was stormy it was a great time! There was plenty of room for all our people and 6 dogs! I loved the porches and having the fenced in place was wonderful for the dogs! The beach was just a short walk away with a walk way for most of the way. The pool was great with plenty of seating area for those good pool days.

Beautiful sunrises!
Easy walk to the beach and the house was very nice. I only wish one of the patios faced the beach. The only one that did was screened in and sat low so there was no view. The nicest balcony faced the parking lot. The pool was lovely and we were in a perfect location.

Could have been better
Only problem was ability to get to the beach. Had to get around large dune over path that was not easy to maneuver. We were happy with almost everything but this. Also having many people sleep in beds put in the same bedroom. That’s ok for kids but not so comfortable for the adults

Spacious and convenient
We had a great stay. Very convenient to beach w/ lifeguard, and beach was excellent both for teenage boogie-boarding and small kids wading & playing in sand. Nags head very convenient, without some of the traffic problems in other places on the banks. Six comfortable, private rooms in the house - so plenty of places for people to sleep without requiring "pull-out beds in the living room" type arrangements. Easily accommodated 16 people for meals, and could have fit more with no problem. Liked the pool table. Convenient check-in, ready early, very pet-friendly, and good communications. A few small quibbles - we did encounter one roach (well, it is the South). Some beach towels would have been very welcome for people flying from far away. Likewise, why not keep basic condiments from guest to guest so we don't have to buy everything again? But overall I'd definitely recommend it.

Perfect week on the beach
We had a wonderful time! The house was perfect. I enjoyed seeing the sunrise every morning from the back deck. There was plenty of room for all of us and the multiple decks gave everyone there space to read a book, do yoga or listen to music! Great experience!

This house served its purpose for our family to stay in. Unfortunately most of the walk way to the beach was buried in sand (which you couldn’t see from the listing) which made it difficult for our older adults to get to the beach. (We weren’t sure if that was something that had just happened or not). We also noticed some bugs and a few cockroaches around the property, the bathroom exhaust fans weren’t functional, and the breaker in the kitchen kept shutting off if more than one appliance was used at a time. All in all we were able to work with it very well and it was a nice place to stay in. We really enjoyed the pool area since the weather wasn’t super ideal for the beach (and of course the walkway). We appreciate how quick responses were over the last year whenever we had a question as well. Thank you for the stay!

Spring OBX Weekend

Perfect House -- Amazingly clean
Everything about this house was perfect from location to cleanliness. I am a clean freak and it was spotless. House was well outfitted too with everything you need in the kitchen to extra blankets. Will rent again. Manager was super responsive. Highly recommend.

Very clean but needs a few updates
Very clean but need small updates like broken blinds and lower section ceiling and stair case is sooo dark. But overall we loved the space kitchen small but had everything we needed as far as cooking. Check out clean up list is kinda long especially having to pay a cleaning fee and do the cleaning yourself. Great location of all stores and pier even tho it was soooo cold and windy we had a wonder ful first experience of Christmas not home

The best Thanksgiving!
For thanksgiving this year we decided to come to Nags Head, even though all our family couldn’t make it, this property was everything we wanted and more! It was so spacious. And everyone especially loved the pool table. It was a very clean and beautiful property. The fishing was great when we went to the pier. Which is just minutes down the road. We also seen dolphins, and surfers. Which was cool to see. Caught plenty for dinner as well as stocking the freezer a little. Everyone we met there was super nice. The area the house is in was quiet and beautiful. There is so many things to do in this area. We didn’t get to do everything we wanted bc of running out of vacation time. But that just means a future trip is needed! Lol. We also cooked a Thanksgiving feast which we placed everything on the big table. It was nice to have everyone with us under the same roof for a week. All in all I have zero complaints! And highly recommend if you are traveling with a big family. Maybe if traveling with a baby/toddler bring a baby gate just so they are able to freely roam without falling down the steps… our children in our group was age 7-12. So we didn’t have to worry so much. Ronni was super friendly and called to make sure I seen email about checking in and to let us know when the property was ready to check in. Also Very accommodating! 10/10 recommend!

Really appreciated that there were no carpets in this house as it is pet-friendly. There are a lot of beds to accommodate people but keep in mind only 3 bathrooms. The house needs some repairs but it has everything you need and is in a great location. We came in the off season so it felt exceptionally private. The pool was a plus.

Our recent trip
House was very comfortable for a group of adults and children- the pool was awesome! Wish the walk to the beach was shorter for an ocean front property. Also wish there was a back entrance on the lower level rather than having to go all the way up to the third floor (from the back pool/beach area) A few things were in need of repair including pool umbrellas, deck/walkway to the beach had loose boards and nails sticking out, water damage to walls and ceiling but outside of that everything was clean and well kept. Maintenance and office were very polite and responsive. Great house for a large group and perfect for kids! We really enjoyed our stay!

Our Founder, Dr. Sarah Forbes passed away in 2011. She was a compassionate physician, dedicated to her patients becoming Norfolk General’s first female chief resident of OB/GYN.
In 1958, she became the first female physician to open a private OB/GYN practice in Newport News, VA.
Dr. Forbes was the first woman to be selected to the board, and the first female president, of the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, where she was honored as a member of the “Wall of Fame” – the first and only woman to be so honored in the club’s 65-year history.

Sarah was often honored for her contributions to the organizations she served, and the community she loved.
Among her many awards were the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities’ Humanitarian Award in 2007, and the Medallion Award which is the highest recognition presented by The Boys and Girls Club of America to volunteers.

She served as president of several community organizations that include the Virginia Peninsula Academy of Medicine, the Newport News Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Newport News Medical Society, and the Peninsula Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Her generosity benefited many organizations, including the Cancer Society, the Newport News Medical Society, the Peninsula Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Family Planning Council, First Baptist Church of Newport News, the Peninsula SPCA, Mariners’ Museum, Riverside Hospital, and Christopher Newport University.

We are continuing Dr. Forbes’ Legacy
All of our vacation homes are owned by Sarah E. Forbes MD, Trust which continues her legacy by using our profits to make regular donations to the charities she loved.
We take care of the houses like she would have wanted.
