Wonderful comfy home, great location.
We loved renting Seamist, the location was wonderful, we could walk across the golf course to the beach. The house was really clean and comfortable. Sarah was a fantastic host and gave me all sorts of local info before our stay. I’d highly recommend Seamist.

Wonderful holiday accommodation, highly recommended.
Excellent property, well equipped, very comfortable and clean. In a good quiet location for a few good quality local shops, several good restaurants and the foot ferry to lovely Padstow and its facilities. Very nice helpful owner with good contact by phone and text. The property surpassed all expectations, just what we wanted. Thankyou, Sarah!

Idyllic week in Rock
We could not have asked for a better location - a short stroll across the golf course to any of the beaches (or to the nearby hotel for cocktails on the terrace). House was pristine and comfortable and Sarah did everything to ensure we had what we needed. The only problem was - the house was so good our teenagers never wanted to go out!

Lovely quiet location
A very nice property on the outskirts of Rock and within an easy distance to walk to the harbour area where the restaurants are. Within a 5 min walk a range of shops, fresh fish monger/bakers /deli/co op so very easy. 20 mins walk across the golf course to the beach and easy walk to the town area for a nice coffee. Overall a lovely property to stay in, kitchen well equipped and I would highly recommend

Lovely week by the sea
Our family of five plus our dog enjoyed a relaxing and fun week at Seamist. It is an excellent base from which to explore the area, and is an easy walk to shops in the village and a 20 minute walk to a remarkably beautiful and quiet beach. Home is safe, quiet and comfortable with a lovely garden. Highly recommended!

Lovely half term break
We had a great break in Rock - particularly given this was our first holiday of 2020 due to Covid! Seamist is really well located in easy walking distance of the seafront in Rock and we'd recommend walking down through the golf course which is just next door to the property. Seamist itself is well equiped and had everything we needed. We found the owners really responsive and helpful when we had an issue with a tap that we couldn't off - all fixed the same day. Thanks for a lovey week.

Nice and quiet, close to the beaches and cliff walks
The house was excellently resourced with everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The rooms were quite spacious and the kitchen, beds and bathrooms excellent. We enjoyed the wood fire as it was quite cold while we were there. The major complaint was that the heat in the radiators turned off in the night so it got quite cold in the house in late November. We did call the local person who said she would get that corrected (the controls were behind a locked door so we could not adjust the time heat was on - just the level of heat) but it didn't seem to make any difference as the heat went off during a portion of the night for the duration of our stay. Also the TV worked for one evening but I couldn't get it to work after that. After the experience with the heat we didn't think it worth asking for help with the TV. So overall the house was just great but if you stay in the winter make sure you have the heat assured throughout the night and that the TV is working.

Our Stay in Rock
Sea mist had everything we wanted. It was ideally positioned for all activities and places of interest and extremely well fitted out with fridge, freezer, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, wi-fi, t.v. etc. The garden was ideal and secure if you had small children or dogs. We cannot fault it in any way - it was more comfortable and certainly much quieter than our home near Gatwick!! Sarah Austin, the owner was so nice in every respect. Not interfering at all but generally very helpful and caring. We love Rock, we have visited every year (last year an exception due to health reasons) and Seamist is probably the pick of all the places we have stayed at. Would most certainly come back here again.

Fabulous property in great location
Just had a fab week - could have done with 2 weeks! Property very comfortable and clean. Good-sized garden. Within walking distance of shops - amazing clothes shops for such a small place! Lovely walks around area. Bit of a steep climb to waterfront but kept us fit! Plenty to do in area - particularly enjoyed paddle-boarding at local ski school and body-boarding at nearby Polzeath. Easy reach of Padstow via ferry. Would highly recommend.

Sea mist cottage Wadebridge
Nice property in a quiet area with secluded garden to the rear. Well furnished, two good sizes bedrooms and a smaller bedroom for children. Two nice sized bathrooms. The cottage is well equipped for home eating. A downhill stroll to Rock beach and the ferry to Padstow. Would stay again, recommended.

Absolutely Fabulous bungalow to stay in
As the holiday property details say, Sea Mist is most certainly a home from home! We have stayed in lots of holiday properties across the whole of the UK and can truly say this is the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. The biggest selling point for us, apart from its location in lovely Rock, is that it most definitely has a fully enclosed garden for our two beloved dogs, thus ensuring they could not escape out and which is a huge benefit for young children as well. To also be able to walk across the Golf Course, which backs on to this lovely bungalow, to Rock beach and then into Daymer Bay Beach again is absolutely fabulous and which we enjoyed doing early every morning (the dogs loved it too)! The other thing we must mention is the fantastic shower in the shower room, again we have never come across a shower in a holiday property that has such a good pressure on it and a brilliant sized shower cubicle. Overall, we would not hesitate at all in highly recommending Sea Mist to anyone who is looking for a holiday in lovely, Rock, Cornwall. Sue and Paul, Suffolk (April 2017)

Wonderful location and home
Perfect location to explore the delights of Rock. Very peaceful location it's hard to believe you are so close to all the amenities. We didn't use the car once during our short break because all of the beaches are nearby with public footpath access literally right outside the door. Well kept, spacious and tastefully decorated home ensured a comfortable stay with everything you need for a short or longer stay. The owner, Sarah was so thoughtful with her welcome gifts and contact we felt like she was welcoming us as her friends, rather than clients. Perfect, can't wait to return.

Family holiday at Seamist with Grandparents
When we arrived at the property all was exactly as had been advertised. The place was clean homely and most of all just right for 2 families. The kids had bits of games and a decent garden to play in the amenities of Rock all within 5-10 minute walk. The coastal walks were brilliant and Rock to Padstowe on the boat is not to be missed. The beaches clean and not overly populated. i do not see this as a criticism just a point that its a pity the bedroom with the bathroom at the other side of the house has bunk beds and not a small double. We would certainly recommend the Seamist as a lovely place to stay and Rock in general as a great place to holiday at

A Beautful homely and tranquil stay in Rock
Seamist is a beautiful, homely, tranquil and comfortable home away from home. It is beautifully situated within a well manicured mature garden both front and back with shrubs, and flowers. It was a pleasure to have breakfast outside each morning and enjoy sitting in such beautiful surroundings. The bungalow itself it very spacious, light, bright and spotlessly clean . The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could wish for . There is a great powerful shower and a further bathroom. The small cul de sac on which it is situated is calm and quiet , located near to the bakery, deli, butchers, newsagent and The Dining Room restaurant to name a few all within walking distance. A walk in the other direction either via the footpaths and the main road or through the near by St Enodoc Golf golf course and sand dunes brings you to the beautiful dog friendly golden sand beach at Rock, a mere 15 / 20 minutes away. Continue walking around the bay and you will reach Daymer Bay and St. Enodoc Church. At Rock beach there is parking and a number of restaurants and a cafe, a sailing club and the ferry over to Padstow harbour which takes about 5 minutes where there can be found numerous restaurants, cafes and shops. Also not to be missed is Porthilly Beach again a short walk from the Bungalow where mussels are caught and landed . The owners Sarah and Wayland are delightful and a pleasure to speak with . They genuinely care about your stay and are most helpful with any queries you may have and provide lots of information about Rock and the surrounding area. Sue the manager of Seamist also calls to the property to make sure you have everything you need and advises on the surrounding area . We have never been so well looked after. We will definitely recommend Seamist to friends and family and will be returning.

Cornish home from home
Seamist is our delightful home from home in Rock. Perfectly located for the beaches, restaurants, sailing school, golf course and shops. My family and I have been returning there twice a year for the last few years and every time we see it, we fall in love with it again. It is beautifully maintained and serviced, immaculately clean, homely and welcoming. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Home from home!
We have stayed in many self-catering properties in the UK and abroad, some good, some not so good but Seamist is always top of our list of places to return to - we love this house! From the moment you walk in through the door, you are struck by the peace and quiet, the space, the cleanliness and the feeling that you can kick off your shoes and relax. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the bathrooms have amazing hot, powerful showers, the garden is safe for children and dogs, the open fire in the living/dining room is a great focal point on chilly evenings and the location is perfect - walking distance to shops, restaurants, beaches and cafes.Thank you for another wonderful stay, see you again soon!

New Year in Seamist
We had an excellent stay in Seamist. The house was a warm welcome from the January cold including a lovely open fire one evening! The location in Brea Road is perfect to explore the various beaches and walks that the Rock area has to offer and local shops provide a huge variety of quality cooking and pre-cooked meals. Overall we had a top class stay in Seamist.

A beautifully clean, homely and luxurious house.
As regular visitors to Rock over the years, we find that Seamist is beyond compare as the perfect self-catering holiday home-from-home option in North Cornwall. Its location can not be beaten for access to the beaches, sailing club, golf course, local shops, Padstow and Polzeath. I could go on. My children (17, 8 and 6) all love their holidays in Seamist. It is so homely that my youngest children think that it actually belongs to us. Seamist's owners are the perfect hosts, there is absolutely nothing left wanting when you arrive and they have lots of local contacts and hints to help you with your shopping, restaurant booking and even babysitting. We plan to go for years.
