About this property

BARGAIN RATES FOR GORGEOUS BARN CONVERSION

The Old Dairy is a beautifully converted dairy in a gorgeous village in Devon a few minutes drive from three of the most stunning surf beaches in England. Dog friendly house, beaches and pubs.
The Old Dairy forms part of the farm building seen in the aerial view photo and shares the drive with the barn next door and has private use of the gardens to the right with a covered BBQ area and little beach hut to chill out in.
The houses outlook is over rural green countryside and fields of sheep and cows. .But It is only 5 minutes walk through the village to two fabulous gastro pubs, the local shop/ post office and church.
The village is in an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty' close to stunning coastal walks, fishing spots and some of the best surf in the UK for surfing, body boarding, swimming, kite surfing, wind surfing or just a lazy BBQ on the beach.
'The Old Dairy' is a large, light and spacious home with oak beams, much charm and character and a warm cosy feel. All the rooms are overlooking the gardens or fields or both.
There are three large bedrooms, three bathrooms including one with en suite, kitchen/Dinning room, Large Lounge with 3 sofas and patio doors on to the garden. Second lounge with Log Burner and corner sofa to seat nine people and a 55" Smart TV. There is also a useful office and a Utility/Boot room. The downstairs shower is perfect for returning from muddy walks or surfing . Ample parking for 4/5 car.
The gardens and little apple orchard overlooking the fields are the perfect place for outdoor dinning or evenings sat around the fire pit.
The village pubs :The Kings Arms and The Rock are extremely welcoming and serve fine food. Both are dog friendly.
The Kings Arms sometimes has live music on at weekends while The Rock tends to be more for 'foodies', both are only a pleasant 5 minute walk away through the village.

Fantastic home in a brilliant location
This is our second year staying at the Old Dairy and it was another brilliant holiday. The house and garden are beautifully furnished and very clean. The location is perfect for the beaches and the local pubs in Georgeham. A perfect holiday once again. We look forward to staying again next year. Thanks again Mark and Mandy

Beautiful well equipped cottage with great outside space in a quiet yet convenient location
We had a fantastic week in North Devon. The cottage is immaculate with really comfortable king size beds and very well equipped kitchen. The outside space was a great bonus; the children loved the summer house, fire pit and the cows in the neighbouring field. Georgeham is a lovely quiet village with two fantastic pubs with great food within walking distance. The beaches are a short drive away and we made use of our NT membership to park at the NT Baggy Point car park which was very convenient. Mark and Mandy were great hosts and ensured all our questions were answered very promptly I hope we will return next year as we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank You Dean and Jo

Amazing house with an amazing gardens.
We were family of eight and 3 dogs that consisted of grandparents, parents, a one and 10-year-old. We all had the best holiday, this was due to the house being incredible and the surrounding areas. The kitchen was stacked with everything you could ever need and was all high end stuff and was a great space for us all to be. Next door was an office & sitting room with a large dining table, the table was plenty big enough for all of us and the sofas were super comfy. Next to that was a living room with super comfy sofas and 60 inch TV with Netflix and Disney. The house was all high end and doesn’t feel like it should be dog friendly. The gardens are enclosed and well kept, up the steps you will find a lovely seating area with power and lights and a huge secure grass area and fire pit. The Area : There are two pubs in the village of Georgeham and both less than a 5 minute walk, The Rock inn and the Kings Arms. The Rock was nice and busy but the Kings we found was amazing! The staff, the drinks, the vibe… and the food was wow! We were in there 3 times during our stay and only would have been more if we could have booked more. The closest beach is 1.8 miles away and we did all walk several times. The road however is very narrow and you have to breathe in when a car comes. If you do drive, the car park costs £13.50! When we are only there for a few hours it’s a rip off. (The beach is great though :)) Woolacombe & Saunton sands are only a few miles away and both are great.

Family Holiday
Fantastic home for a week. Facililities were all modern and up to date. House decor was lovely and the rooms were very spacious and gave us 7 more than enough room. We would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in that area. Mark the home owner was really helpful before and during the stay and offered advice on restaurants, we we're not disappointed. The Rock Inn and The Manor House Inn served us amazing food. The weather was kinder than expected so we had a great week. Hope to visit again soon.

Fabulous but a little noisy at times!
A fabulous place to stay and a great host but beware of early morning noise from cattle sheds and dogs barking close by. Also no paths into village so walking with children or dogs difficult with traffic so close.

A fabulous home in a beautiful location
A stunning property in a lovely location. The house contained all we needed alongside stylish decor. The two sitting rooms allowed plenty of space for all three generations to spread out! The kitchen was fabulous and made cooking an occasional meal very easy! We loved eating fish and chips out on the bench at the top of the sunny garden and cooking marshmallows over the fire pit. The grandparents enjoyed quietly sitting up in the little sunhouse reading their books. The house is also located in a sweet village that, whilst encountering some problems with summer traffic sometimes, was ideal for exploring the best beaches in the area. Wonderful!

Excellent. Well equipped.
Very nice property, very well furnished. The only downside was the bathroom for the third bedroom was too far away and not at all practical for those who didn’t want to share.

Lovely cottage in a great location, excellent week away!! Highly recommended
We stayed here for the week with family and enjoyed every minute of it. The cottage is very spacious, and well presented. Everything we needed was available. The location is great, close to Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton. The village has 2 good pubs, we used both and were equally impressed with them. We would love to come back and will hopefully do so in the near future, highly recommend!! Colin Porter

Fantastic, spacious, sophisticated property in beautiful Devon village, near glorious beaches.
The Old Diary is a really exquisite, well-designed and tasteful conversion and extension of a traditional farm building - set peacefully in its own grounds of garden and rolling countryside. It is extremely well-equipped and the attention to detail is superb throughout. From the large kitchen / dining room, useful utility, and sitting room with opening doors onto the patio garden area - to the spacious TV "snug" there is lots of space and loads of really comfy seating. There's even a little office if you DO need to hide /catch up on emails etc.! Furnishing and fittings are muted-modern colours and the super-fun artwork on the walls is creative with a local surf feel. The garden is a sun-trap and cleverly zoned to make the most of the outside space. Particularly loved the rustic summerhouse with veranda to sit and breakfast from or enjoy an evening sun-downer. Situated on the edge of Georgeham village, it's just a close walk to either of the 2 pubs and village store. Walking across fields to the unspoilt Putsborough beach and linking up to the North Devon coastal path is within easy reach. And the other surfing and fun beaches of Croyde and Saunton Sands are just a short drive away. Last - but not least - I found owners Mark & Mandy a delight to meet and extremely helpful. A real 5 star experience in every respect. Thank you !

Beautiful house in excellent location with fantastic owners.
Beautifully presented home from home with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. The owners are lovely and available should you need anything or ideas for what to do in the local area. Two excellent pubs within the village, best to book a table as they get busy. I would highly recommend this holiday let, we hope to return again next year! Definitely a 5 star stay!!

Beautiful cottage
We really enjoyed our time staying at The Old Dairy. The cottage is large and luxurious and newly decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a small study with good wifi connection. The cottage has a lovely garden and patio area. The location was perfect for traveling to all the areas we wanted to visit in North Devon. We would definitely stay here again in the future and can highly recommend it! Thank you to Mark and Mandy for such a lovely stay at their beautiful cottage.

What makes this property unique

The Old Dairy has the benefits of a complete rural feel being on the edge of this lovely village and yet it is only 5 minutes walk to two fabulous pubs in the middle of the village or a 30 minute leisurely walk to the beach. (8 minutes drive)
