Salema, 3 bedroom apartment with stunning sea views

Salema - Beautiful 3 bedroom apartment at the Salema Beach Club, completely renovated in 2011. The apartment is fully furnished, with 2 bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the old town and ocean. Two minutes walk to the beach (200 meters). Located at 12 km from the town of Lagos and 2 km to the nearest golf course. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, laundry machine, stove, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee machine, and other utensils. A shaded back patio with BBQ, and television in the living room. There is a double bed and private bathroom in the master bedroom (1), the other two bedrooms have twin beds and share a bathroom, these beds can be joined.

As the apartment is located in the centre of Salema, the beach, supermarket, restaurants and bars are all at a walking distance.

Absolutely unbeatable views!

Salema: Authentic Portuguese fishing village, unspoilt. Only 3 km from the Parque de Floresta Golf Resort.
8 km from Lagos. Beautiful rustic beach front.

IMPORTANT: The access to the apartment is by the outside of the urbarnization, by stairs next to the laundry, not needing contact with the other apartments.
The acess is better by the side of laundry less steps.

Fabulous Salema
Great property very good position in Salama Even without air con we were not too hot in August Directions to the apartment are shocking ! It took us 50 mins to find Here’s my take on it turn left at the Salema beach club Singh it is then on the right of you. The apartment is on the left at the top of the steps You will see the bins on the left and car parking spaces there is a set of steps go to the top as the step go around to the left you go up right and the apartment is there. Don’t follow the advice re laundry it will get you lost. Have fun Salama is amazing if going at a busy time book your restaurants in advance

Nice apartment in very pleasant village.
Would recommend this apartment. Lovely views from the balcony really made it. Comfortable for four adults, might be a bit squeezed for 6. Yes, there are lots of steps, but that's what gives you the view. Pool area very pleasant, and only a short walk down the (steep) hill to a choice of restaurants. Intermarche a couple of miles away on the main road, close to both Lagos and Sagres. Would definitely go back.

Great Stay
Property as advertised in a great location with view. Only thing to keep in mind is there are about 65 stairs steps to access so could be an issue for some. Otherwise all good.

Ruhiger Ort mit traumhaften Blick auf das Meer
Salema war für uns der perfekte Ausgangsort um den Süden und den Westen von Algarve zu erkunden. Wir hatten im März ein tolles Wetter (21-25 °C), wohl viel Glück gehabt Die Gegend ist ruhig. Die Wohnung ist mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern groß genug für 6 Personen, wir waren nur zu zweit da. Eines der Schlafzimmer hat sogar Meerblick und die Einzelbetten lassen sich zusammenschieben. Wir wohnten in dem Schlafzimmer mit dem Doppelbett und eigenem Bad. Die Küche haben wir nicht benutzt (nur den Wasserkocher), denn die Algarve bietet wirklich tolle Gastronomie und wir wollten nicht die Zeit mit Kochen verbringen. Die Aussicht aus der Wohnung ist toll, wir konnten sogar das Meer hören. Morgens kann man den Sonnenaufgang beobachten. Die Wohnung erreicht man über 65 Stufen, was für uns Wanderer (46 +51) kein Problem war. Wir können die Wohnung weiterempfehlen und würden selbst diese erneut buchen. Es gibt aber zwei Verbesserungspunkte: Der Abfluss im Bad riecht etwas (wurde schon in anderen Bewertungen erwähnt). Für uns war es kein Problem, da wir nur zu 2 waren und das andere Badezimmer genutzt haben. Die Möbel sind etwas älter und die Tische und die Anrichte haben Abnutzungsspuren. Uns hat es nicht gestört, da wir die meiste Zeit unterwegs waren und die Aussicht für uns das entscheidende Kriterium war. Es gibt aber Reisende, den das wichtig ist. Für diesen Preis ist es aber voll angemassen, schicke und neue Ferienwohungen sind deutlich teuer.

Fantastic location, stunning view from balcony. Have 3 children under 8 and steps to apartment weren’t a problem at all. We had an issue with Key and host was very helpful and sorted out straight away. Basic amenities but everything you need. We would happily stay again

Good property in great location
We had a fantastic stay and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Salema is beautiful with as good a beach as I've found in Europe. Plenty of good restaurants catering for many tastes. The property is good, although be prepared for plenty of steps and a steep walk from the beach. A brief issue on arrival trying to locate the apartment was eventually resolved. There are two separate blocks on left and right of the car park, and the instructions of 'look for the laundry' didn't help as both blocks have laundries. It's the left hand block you need. The owners had left several items for us on arrival which was a nice touch. Would stay here again.

We spent several weeks at the property. The view of the beach and town is beautiful. We enjoyed breakfast on terrace. For our purposes, the place worked well -- we liked the area and used it as a base to explore, we had enough room for all of us, and it was a good value. It was difficult to find the apartment the first time, and it required calling Maria, who was available. There is no check in manual, so we would ask Maria or the property manager questions when we had them (e.g. how to use the washer, etc.). My kids had a game of counting the steps up to the flat -- there are 67 stairs with no handrail -- keep that in mind if you have lots to carry or mobility challenges. Other things to note: there's a grocery store nearby, some really great restaurants down the hill in town, and the beach is beautiful. There is easy parking and, personally, I can't imagine not having car to get around to other places. Pool is accessible with the car key, but it's not heated.

Tolle Wohnung, toller Ausblick
Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Waschmaschine und Geschirrspülmaschine sind in der Wohnung. Wlan ist leider langsam. Deutsche Sender sind vorhanden. Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfbereit. Objekt ist leider schwer zu finden. Bis zur Wohnung müssen knapp 65 Stufen bewältigt werden. Mit Koffern ist das schon sportlich. Für Ältere und Behinderte ungeeignet. Pflanzen neben dem Treppenaufgang links in der Anlage werden leider nicht gegossen. Wir haben sie gegossen. Es ist zu wünschen, dass andere Urlauber diese auch gießen. Salema scheint insgesamt kalt zu sein. Juni hatten wir zwischen 19 und 21 Grad, davon viele bewölkte Tage und 2 Regentage. Strandgang war leider nicht möglich. Salema kann ich für Badeurlaub deshalb nicht empfehlen. Am besten eignet sich die Gegend um Faro. Terrasse ist etwas klein. Zu weit passt es.

Perfect apartment in a perfect location, with a beautiful view
We rented this apartment for a family gathering during October half term. It was perfect for our needs and we would definitely rent it again. Maria, the host, was very helpful and, despite a minor hiccup with the key code, it was rectified immediately. We would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and Salema, which we know well; it is always a beautiful place to stay, with a stunning beach and superb restaurants.

Wunderschön
Wir waren schon zum dritten Mal dort, und fühlen uns sehr wohl. Wenn man einmal die vielen Stufen zum Appartement erklommen hat wird man mit einem herrlichem Ausblick belohnt. Es ist sehr sauber gewesen und es ist alles da was man benötigt. Sogar Strandhandtücher.

Apartamento acolhedor e com boa limpeza, com uma magnifica vista para o mar. Óptimo para férias em família ou uma escapadinhas a dois... Aspetos a melhorar mais canais para as crianças em que apenas existia cinco a seis canais portugueses e uma quantidade de box's desnecessária, a internet por vezes não tinha capacidade para ter 3 a 4 telemóveis a receber dados. O mau cheiro na casa de banho da suite. Mas num modo geral uma agradável estadia. Obrigado Dona Maria.

Apartamento bien, anuncio poco preciso
Muy limpio y buenas vistas, pero tiene cosas que matizar en su anuncio no está tan cerca de la playa, ni siquiera de la piscina, que es una maravilla eso si. Hay olores en el baño, la ducha no traga bien, como ya han indicado otros anteriormente. Internet va muy lento y respecto a la tele , está roto un hdmi, el euro conector y faltan pilas y ver la tele en español o inglés es imposible, alemán y portugués ok. Hay bastantes escaleras para llegar al apartamento. Por lo demás bien, buena disposición a arreglar los problemas.

Beautiful sweeping ocean views from your sofa
This apartment was very clean and spacious and had drop dead gorgeous views of the ocean in a charming little fishing village. There is a grocery store just at the steps to the apartment and a pool as well. The restaurants that are nearby are top notch and everyone was so very nice and welcoming. My only constructive comments are that there are 66 steps straight up to the apartment with no elevator. My husband is nearly 60 and had to bring a 50 lb. suitcase up those stairs. It is certainly only for people whose health and mobility will allow. In addition, it was hard to find - very confusing. If you care about WiFi- it is weak and the TV is small and gets few channels. It does not have a guide- so we had to call for help- but finally figured it out ourselves. Again, the place is nice and the view is gorgeous- so none of this was a deal breaker. Good price and I would stay here again for sure. Portugal is absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend taking a sea cave boat ride in Lagos.

It was very nice 2 weeks with 100% confirmed fantastic look at the ocean coast. House was very clean and cosy. We (me and my daughter) liked all. Nevertheless, my wife found some “spots”, which I need to mention. In the main bathroom - the shower (connection pipe) had some leaks in the connection points so I had to fix it by my own (not 100% successful, but it was much better after). In the second bathroom the drain hole had a bad smell and the water was going out very slowly. We tried to clean it using standard cleaners, but it was not successful. This must be checked and cleaned by a professional plumber. The hause is very closed to a small shop and to the fantastic beach of Salema. Pool we did not try. Overall I would rate it as very good!

HEAVENLY
This Salema apartment is just perfect for a family holiday or a couples break. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had a welcome basket of goodies on our arrival which was very much appreciated. The apartment is not air conditioned but that did not matter as the gentle breeze from the ocean at night and early morning kept the apartment very cool. The TV and DVD player were very easy to use also. The two bathrooms both with showers were also great addition to the apartment. There are a few restaurants in Salema and the apartment is only a very quick walk into the village. There is a small shop selling essentials in the village but if you want to eat in a couple of nights, as we did, a trip to the supermarket on the main Road out of Salema is essential. This is a walk away if you are fit but a long walk back with a backpack of shopping! Use a taxi or a car to do a shop at this supermarket is my advice. The kitchen offers everything you need to prepare a family meal and there is a barbeque on the balcony. The apartment has a lovely quiet feel to it and the balcony offers heavenly views. Just sitting and listening to the birds in the morning was so far away from the world of work and rushing around. The days in Salema were endless. The pool offered an escape from the sandy beach and was very quiet. We literally had the pool to ourselves for most of the holiday. All in all this is a beautiful apartment and I would recommend it to holiday makers. Thanks.

Great Location
This apartment was just what we hoped and expected based on the photos. It was very comfortable for the four of us and we loved being in Salema. We had a problem getting the key code, but I think that was a one-time issue. We would happily stay here again.
