“The Grove” is an architect-designed modern family-home that sleeps up to 8 people, a real home from home.It has a large garden, including a wild-area, fishpond, and two patio areas, complete with garden/patio furniture, sun umbrellas, and barbeque.There is also lots of parking space.
You can chill out in this quiet, secluded countryside retreat, located in the sunny south-east of Ireland, just a short 5-minute drive from the nearby “South Beach” (a massive continuous 20km-long stretch of golden sands) and just 2km from the quaint village of Kilmuckridge and Ballygarrett, where you can explore the shops supermarkets traditional pubs, churches, restaurant, café, and unique Saturday Morning Market in the grounds of the old school house in Ballygarrett. Sunday Morning Farmers marker at Shrule pet farm and equestrian Center. There is also horse riding nearby and kayaking by arrangement( lots of brochures and information available at the property)
This large home (250 sq. metres/2,700 sq. ft.) features a marble-tiled entrance hall leading to 4 bedrooms (2 ensuite) and the main bathroom. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes. The main bedroom has a super king-size bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom, also with ensuite bathroom, has a king size bed, All bedrooms have duck down-duvets and pillows to ensure a good nights sleep. The third bedroom has a double-bed, and the fourth bedroom has 2 single beds with shared Bathroom. The main bathroom is marble-tiled, with a large shower and Jacuzzi bath. There is also a half Bathroom off the living area.
The sitting room is very cosy and I relaxing with a fireplace with gas fire, TV, DVD player, music centre, and a selection of both DVDs and CDs. The family TV room also has a fireplace with gas fire, while the sunroom/dining-room has a large glass round dining table (to seat 8 people) and a cosy seating area to relax over drinks and coffee before or after dinner, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the garden and fishpond, with large double doors that open out on the patio/barbeque area.
The kitchen comes well-equipped with a large centre island-unit, Double oven and grill, 5-ring glass hob, Dishwasher, Microwave, Fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, George Foreman grill, Fryer, Blender,and lots of kitchen utensils.The utility room has a Washing machine, Clothes dryer, and American-style fridge/freezer.
“The Grove” is a great base from which to visit all the tourist activities of the east and south east of Ireland, ( Better known as the Ancient East) across Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow,Kildare and Dublin.
In addition to the South Beach and Ballygarrett, the small fishing village of Cahore is just 2km away. Cahore has been a popular location for tourists, fishermen, and wild-life enthusiasts for generations. The village is dominated by its long pier, with a pub /restaurant (The Strand) where you can relax over drinks,or have a bite to eat, looking out across the harbour. Generations of children have fished for crabs from the bridge in centre of the pier, while many small fishing boats are launched daily from the slipway. Sea anglers frequent the small beach to the immediate north (known locally as "the North Beach"), as do many families, who enjoy swimming and bathing in the shallow, sheltered bay area between the beach and pier.There is also a beautiful cliff walk between the north and south beaches.

Traditional Irish pubs, Hotel/Restaurant,
Kates café, and a choice of take away food premises.
Also nearby is Wells House & Gardens, a beautiful Victorian house and gardens, which has something for all generations to enjoy: 2 woodland walks, beautifully-restored formal Victorian terrace gardens, an adventure playground, art gallery, restaurant, and even a resident archer and courtyard shopping.
Nearby Courtown Harbour has a Rescue Seal Sanctuary, Also Pirates Cove Adventure Park where you can play Bowling or a game of Crazy Golf, or visit Forest Park Xtreme Adventure and Leisure Centre.
Curracloe Surf Shack has Stand up paddle boarding, Surf boarding,or surfing the dunes,
or enjoy fully guided kayaking on the river Slaney, safely equipment and wetsuits provided.(Go Paddle.ie)
Shrule equestrian Center is just 5minutes away , (booking recommended) they also have a pet farm for younger family members, and a coffee shop.
The large bustling market town of Gorey is just (approx)10km away, where you will find a Shopping Center, Main Street Shopping, lots of popular Boutiques, Art Galleries , Supermarkets, (Dunne’s, Tesco, Supervalu, Aldi Lidl), Greens Berry Farm for fresh fruit, Coffee Shops, Bar’s, a 7 Screen Cinema,Tourists Office, and many good restaurants, including the renowned Marlfield House and the Duck Restaurant.
