This is probably our 4th time staying at Marina Suite. We love the location and the fact that it is dog friendly. I would give our stay a 5 if it weren't for the infestation of fruit flies. Joan responded very quickly with fruit fly traps, but we still had to deal with them for our entire stay.

Great location - Park is wonderful.
My wife and I and our dog Roxy loved the Marina suite. We spent many hours in the park which is right next to unit. We enjoyed the great views of all the action on Round lake and the marina from the patio. We also got take out a couple times and ate on the patio. The unit was nice and spacious and comfortable. Had a small issue with code to get in , but was handled quickly. The host Joan was available and helpful — top notch host ! Had a great week people watching, shopping and walking around town. This was the perfect spot for us. Reserved Parking spot was needed on weekend, it is a short walk across street.

Location was prime, space was well appointed. Units above us were relatively quiet. Parking was about a block away, which was fine, but not clear/correct in the listing on VRBO.

Beware
For Large cleaning fee, you would expect the place to be spotless. Dust on top of everything in kitchen and several spiders. The loud, crinkly bed mat was a bit much. Sits next door to a restaurant so it was loud with workers taking smoke breaks and being completely unsanitary spitting everywhere. You can also expect the banging of empty beer kegs late at night and early in the morning.

Home Away From Home...
We have spent several summer vacations staying in the Marina Suite. It feels like home away from home to my husband & I, as well as our standard poodle. The downtown location simply can't be beat. Shopping, beaches, restaurants, concerts in the park, glorious sunsets are all within walking distance. We highly recommend - and will certainly be back next summer!

Perfect location!
Our daughter was getting married at the Charlevoix Yacht club and we had a lot of boxes of decorations that had to be transported to the venue. We were on the ground floor so loading and unloading was very easy, the unit was very spacious so we weren’t crammed with all the extra boxes. The unit is tucked under a porch so there is not bright light streaming in which made it ideal for sleeping. We would definitely stay here again

We loved the location of the marina suite. Joan is a great host. The condo is cute and has everything you need. View of the marina is beautiful as well. Master bed was comfortable and the pull out couch was also comfortable. There is a fair bit of noise from the surrounding businesses during the day, but that is the cost of being right downtown. Good tradeoff from our view and we would stay again.

We visited Charlevoix in late September for a long weekend. . We had a wonderful time and the house was great. The location to downtown is perfect and we were so glad we got to bring our Labrador retriever . Joan was great in communicating all the important details. We definitely will stay again.

There was no parking at the Suite. We had to keep walking between the Suite and the Public Parking about 1 1/2 blocks away. It was easy to find and not too far from the Suite. On site parking would have been better so that we did not have to keep bringing the vehicle back & forth (we are in the "elder" group). The Suite was very nice and well maintained and everything the pictures portrayed. The host, Joan, was very helpful.

Absolute perfection!
The Marina Suite is the perfect home base for enjoying Charlevoix and the surrounding area. It overlooks the marina and is literally right next to a wonderful park with lots of areas to walk. The suite itself is incredibly clean, comfortable, thoughtfully well stocked and nicely decorated. Wonderful bakery and restaurants all just steps away. And to top it off, we were able to bring our little diva dog with us!

I loved walking out the front door and seeing the beautiful marina view. The Marina Suite is just steps away from shopping and restaurants along with great places to stroll along the waterfront. Had a wonderful stay and looking forward to a return visit!

A few years ago, I visited some friends who have a vacation home in Charlevoix, Michigan. I fell in love with the town and it's people. It was August and I was coming from the hot, humid, south which might have had something to do with it.

However, i've also been to Charlevoix in the middle of winter and still love it!

Why they chose this property

The view is terrific!

I've always wanted to live some place where I could walk to the restaurants, bars, beach, library, shops and movie theater. This is the place!

What makes this property unique

Other than the bedroom and bathroom, the suite is a large open inviting space. In time for the 2016 Season, I'll have replaced the leather sectional with a comfy sleeper sofa and two leather recliners. Its great to be able to set at the patio table and see the marina.
