Wonderful Villa
Highly recommend a stay at this villa. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and conveniently located for day trips to Chianti region, numerous small medieval villages, and the beautiful city of Siena. The pool is a welcome respite from the heat of the day. Giada and her staff are helpful and friendly, and I suggest that you have them make you an Italian dinner for a special treat. We would definitely visit again.

Very well kept Villa, beautiful garden and pool
My wife and I spent a week in Villa Muricce with our 4 children, in-laws and grandchildren, all in all 13 people, thereof 4 kids from 3 months to 6 years of age. We stayed in all 3 units of the villa, i.e. the main apartment, the guest apartment and the restored barn. This was very convenient since the families with the youngest children could then be a bit separated in the guesthouse and the restored barn. The villa itself is very well kept and furnished in a classic, rural style. The gardens are big and well kept. The swimming pool is also very well kept and really made a difference for the kids, who enjoyed a lot being there. The views from the house and the pool are spectacular. The villa is conveniently located for sightseeing, and we went for sightseeing tours to Sienna, Florence and San Gimignano, which all can be recommended. We also went to a vignard for wine-tasting. Shopping is easy, both in large supermarkets in Sienna, just 12 minutes drive, and in the next village, where there is a compact supermarket with all you need, as well as a takeaway restaurant which both provided takeaway pizzas and pastas. It's only about a 5 minutes drive from the house. Giada was very helpful and arranged the wine-tasting for us. She also arranged for baby carriages and a stroller for the youngest ones. We also asked her to arrange a three-course meal at the house, which was very good and we can recommend. All in all we had a lovely stay there for a week and we will recommend this place to our friends which are interested in a Tuscanny vacation.

Perfect for a Tuscan family holiday
We found this place when planning to go to Tuscany for a family holiday (grandparents, brother and sister with family) and with three different rentals in one, which was perfect for us. We landed early in Florence and drove down the SR222 route, the Chianti Road, and stopped in a few places and had lunch in Greve in Chianti on the way. It was a beautiful drive and the location of this property is very close to this route and also to several wine yards. Giada had organized some food and wine in the fridge which was very welcoming! The wine was called "Maia" from the Radda in Chianti, organic and very closed by. We liked so we ordered a full box which was delivered byt the owner at our door. We later also bought the olive oil from the same place - highly recommended. We also visited Castellare di Castellina upon recommendation and we were not disappointed! The pool area and the terrace from the renovated "barn" was the big win for us and used every day after days out and about in Tuscany. We went to Florence, Pisa and Siena. Siena is a great city to visit and it very close by. We would have loved an extra day or two here. Giada was the perfect hostess and also organized an evening meal with a chef upon our request, which was delicious! We also had a cooking class one evening with a lot of fun and good food, which will be a great memory for us! We highly recommend this property and hope to return back one day!

Wonderful property, feel at home
We stayed at this wonderful property in September, four couples of friends from Philadelphia. The house is very comfortable, well looked after with lovely decor and many facilities. The garden is large with plenty of ornamental plants, and a beautiful view out front. We spent a lot of nice moments by the pool terrace, and the weather allowed us to enjoy swimming! The location of the property is excellent, in the countryside in a quiet area near Siena, reachable in 10 minutes. Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, and other charming towns in the area are also quickly reachable, about half an hour! The owner was friendly and welcoming. She provided us with plentiful information on where to buy wine and oil, even organic. We visited the Enoteca Castellare in Chianti, where we had a great experience, tasting wine and Tuscan appetizers. We will recommend this property to our friends, and we hope to come back soon!

Wonderful Villa near Siena
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Murrice with our party of 11 and three families from. It is accurately represented on the website and there were no surprises. Giada and her mother were wonderful hosts and very helpful. Having the whole property, with the house and two apartments provided everyone with space and privacy. While we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful meals cooked by Piera, the kitchen was well equipped so that we could also enjoy preparing our own meals with fresh local ingredients that we could easily obtain at the grocery store in Quercigrossa or the Coop near the train station in Siena. The villa is conveniently located so that we could do day trips to many of the Cities in Tuscany without too much driving. We also took advantage of the wonderful pool where we spent a few of our days in between day trips relaxing and enjoying the Tuscan life. If you are looking for a great location near Siena with access to all of Tuscany, I would highly recommend Villa Murrice.

Heaven.....
We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Muricce for 2 weeks. We are a family of 5 from the States, plus we had friends from France join us, and the set up was perfect for our group. First, the main villa, with air conditioning in the rooms and a fully equipped kitchen was a great base for us. The terrace for the main villa, is separated/connected to the guesthouse terrace, by a gorgeous wall of vines. I must say that the garden is incredibly well kept and fluorishes under the love of the owners. We were there in a heat wave, so it was difficult to spend too much time outdoors in the heat of the day. But inside remained cooler and managable. They have numerous fans on hand to help! Each location has a barbecue, and we used them for dinner every night! The restored barn, below the main villa, has a spectacular terrace, looking down over the gardens and pool. We spent wonderful evenings out there. The barn has a fully eqipped kitchen as well, so we were able to prepare meals and enjoy the view of the olive trees and gardens. The owners...Giada and MamaCiao as my 2 year old called her...Amazing. So helpful, completely accessible, full of knowledge and history of the region, with great suggestions of where to go. They are like family. And speak so many languages! It was a treat to know that MamaCiao was next door, when I left my Nanny and baby on the property, and I visited vineyards and Florence. They are beautiful people...! I highly recommend taking advantage of Chef....she creates a wonderful cooking class, intimate and fun, making pasta and giving you all her inside tips. Giada can translate. We also asked Chef to cook for us when we had numerous guests and did not want to cook ourselves, and the meals were exceptional, flavorful, plentiful and beautifully presented. And plenty for lunch the next day. We had a personal wine tour with a lovely oenophile from Chianti, and Giada can set you up with him. I highly recommend this wonderful property and I hope to come back again soon.

Best Location, Best Food, Best Service
We enjoyed our stay at Muricce very much. We are seven friends who enjoy traveling together, and the location a few kilometers north of Siena, as well as the amenities themselves, were perfect for us. We enjoyed the use of three separate living areas, five bedrooms, and four baths, all clean, up to date, and well-maintained. The property is large enough to accommodate some of the owner's family members as well, but they were rarely seen. We also enjoyed the owner and manager, Giada and her mother, who were very much present and available to our every need. They were easily reachable by email and prompt in responding to our questions, as well as being genuinely nice people. During our stay the property was experiencing a bit of trouble with its Internet connection (a replacement for the modem needed to be purchased), and each time we asked, Giada responded immediately and was able to resolve the issue quickly until the new part could be purchased. We would definitely recommend this property to those seeking an excellent location in Tuscany. The property sits directly on the road to Bosciano next to the International School and has a short unpaved drive and ample parking. Muricce is a perfect location from which to take day trips to Siena (we recommend parking in the supermarket lot across from the train station, then taking a cab to the old part of Siena). It is also close to Montereggioni, a small and lovely hill town which is still apparently undiscovered by American tourists. In addition, we took day trips to Volterra, Montepulciano, Castellari in Castellina, and of course Florence. Two things of note: the restaurant in Quercegrossa (a small town nearby) is not to be missed. We were surprised by the truly excellent meal we had there; the other is the excellent cook available at Muricce. It would be hard to choose our favorite meal, and the price was a bargain, since quantities are ample enough for leftovers the next day. Each time we were given a choice of three menus. As an example, one meal we chose consisted of grilled red and yellow pepper strips with garlic, capers and parsley; Tuscan bread topped with cheese and walnuts; pasta with black cabbage and beans; roast beef with Tuscan herbs; green salad; chocolate cake with pears. The cook, Piera, is very proud of her work, and she should be. Every meal she cooked us (all from local organic sources) was exquisite. We have agreed - we would all return to Muricce given the opportunity.

Ideal
The property was ideal. We rented all 3 units for 2 weeks as a family reunion It was very roomy clean and well equipped The beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool was secluded with lots of chairs and big enough to swim laps. Some people may prefer to be within walking distance of a village but we much preferred the peace and quiet and a supermarket is only a 5min drive away Plus my favorite city(So much cleaner more manageable and friendlier than Florence)is only a 15 min drive. In fact it is ideally located to visit all the hill towns ie San Gimignano, Pienza Volterra etc. I highly recommend you take advantage of Piera's cooking We had 2 meals cooked by her. Delicious. Where else could you be served a 4 course meal plus wine served under a jasmine scented pergola overlooking the Tuscan countryside all for 28euro!!! So, I would highly recommend this property It was very welcoming to come home to its tranquillity after a day driving and sightseeing. Giada lives next door so she is always willing and able to help with any questions. An extremely good value
