Lovely renovated barn, stunning lake views, olive grove, breeze +peace of mind

On lake Como hills, overlooking Mezzegra Centro Lago, this unique property is surrounded by green fields, olive grove, nature and peace providing total privacy! Ideal for a relaxing holiday, still not too far from the centre and the lake. Enjoy the big garden with tables, chairs, offering amazing views. The barn has been tastefully renovated, with traditional fitting such as stones and wooden elements. While you are here you can enjoy good hiking trails and easily reach climbing spots: just behind the house is a short trail that brings you to the climbing face. The property position makes this place unique!
It is located 10-15 minutes’ walk from the parking, part of the path to reach it is steep. We assist you when you arrive, bringing you up to the site with your luggage with our 4x4 small car. We will assist you than for the departure in the same way. If you need a lift during your stay (for example when you have heavy purchases such as food and beverages with you), that can be agreed previously, upon availability of the driver.
When you are in Mezzegra, you can easily visit the beautiful surrounding area with beautiful Villa Carlotta museum and gardens, Villa Balbianello, Bellagio and Varenna taking a boat or a ferry over, everything is only a short drive away. The lake and beaches are not far as well. In the centre of the village you will find a supermarket, a baker, bars and restaurants.
We really love it here and look forward to sharing this place and its beautiful landscape with people who will enjoy it as well as we do.

Die Wohnung liegt oberhalb des Comer Sees und bietet einen traumhaften Blick über den See und die Umgebung. Der Weg dorthin ist sehr steil, aber wir wurden wie versprochen mit dem Allrad abgeholt und zur Wohnung chauffiert. Oben angekommen konnten wir den tollen Ausblick und die Ruhe genießen, die nur von ein paar Glocken der Ziegen unterbrochen wurde. Das Haus ist liebevoll restauriert und bietet alles, was man braucht.bietetallemeingerichtet

Un accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes. De belles visites. Proche de lieux de baignade. Une vue imprenable sur le lac. Il faut juste avoir conscience que la côte pour accéder au gîte à pied est très raide..

Sehr schöne Wohnung in den Bergen am Comer See
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt bei Ilaria! Die Kommunikation war super und alles war wie beschrieben. Von der Wohnung und dem Garten hat man einen der besten Blicke auf den Comer See. Die Küche war super ausgestattet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Man sollte allerdings beachten, dass der Weg zur Wohnung nicht mit dem Auto erreichbar ist. Ilaria organisiert bei Bedarf und zum Abholen aber immer einen kleinen 4x4 um mit Gepäck zur Wohnung zu gelangen. Der Weg ist teilweise sehr steil. Durch die traumhafte Lage im Olivenhain hat man seine Ruhe und keine anderen Touristen um sich rum. Es war sehr schön :) Danke Ilaria! Wir können die Wohnung nur empfehlen! Man sollte aber gut zu Fuß sein!

traumhafter Aufenthalt über dem Comer See
Wir verbrachten eine tolle Herbstwoche in diesem netten Haus oberhalb des Sees, die Gastgeber waren höchst zuvorkommend, Übernahme, Übergabe und Gepäcktransport haben hervorragend geklappt. Man muss aber darauf hinweisen, dass man wirklich gut zu Fuß sein muss, um diesen Aufenthalt zu genießen, da von der Parkmöglichkeit zum Haus jedenfalls 80 Höhenmeter zu überwinden sind und im Haus auch noch eine steile Innenstiege wartet. So haben wir im Lauf der Woche "nur" mit den Heimwegen zum Haus (sind allerdings oft auch ganz hinunter zum See zum Essen gegangen) ca. 1300 Höhenmeter überwunden haben. Für uns kein Problem und unser Vierbeiner hat das doppelt genossen.

Ein Paradies mit Aussicht!
Wir haben jeden Tag genossen, der weite Blick, die Ruhe! Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll, die Familie sehr nett! Der Sprung nach Mezzegra ist schnell zu bewältigen, auch Eis essen in Lenno geht zu Fuß. Wir vermissen gerade schon wieder die körperliche Bewegung!

Wir haben eine Woche in totaler Ruhe und Entspannung in dieser traumhaften Ferienwohnung genießen dürfen. Der Kontakt mit Ilaria und Ambra sowie Renato war sehr herzlich und bei Fragen konnte uns immer wieder auch mit Tips zu Ausflügen und Restaurants geholfen werden. We love our stay at Azzano
This summer we spent 4 days at this house and let me tell you that it really stole our hearts . . The actual house is so charming and we loved that has a second floor. It was just perfect, and the best part? The most amazing view we ever saw and also the owners are so sweet and helpful. You will love staying there.

Mooi plekje aan Comomeer
Heel mooi uitzicht op het Comomeer. Wel een wandeling naar beneden en boven, maar is het zeker waard. Huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien. Als je komt voor de rust is dit zeker een aanrader. Je kan de drukte opzoeken naar wens.

Der Weg lohnt sich …
… der Ausblick auf den See, die Natur, die Ruhe und nicht zuletzt die sehr sehr nette und umsorgende ( nie aufdringlich) Gastgeberfamilie hat uns diesen Aufenthalt genießen lassen. Als Ausgangspunkt vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten super gelegen( vielen Dank auch nochmal für die wertvollen Tipps), war dieser Urlaub ein schönes Kennenlernen dieser hübschen Gegend und wir wollen auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. P.S. Der Weg ist steil, aber mittlerweile gut befestigt, für uns „Mausklicker“ absolut machbar ;-))

Wunderschöner Ort oberhalb des Comer Sees
Es handelt sich um ein kleines Gehöft, das die Familie liebevoll renoviert und ausgebaut hat, inmitten eines sehr schön mediterran bepflanzten Grundstücks. Man hat einen wunderbaren Blick auf den See und den untenliegenden Ort. Wie schon oft geschrieben, empfängt die Familie ihre Gäste sehr herzlich und steht immer für Fragen zur Verfügung. Wander- und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten sind natürlich unbegrenzt. Wir waren mit Hund da, auch das passt gut (Fußböden alle gefließt, Grundstück ist mehr oder weniger komplett eingezäunt, die Vermieter sind "hundefreundlich"). Neben den allen in den Bewertungen schon oft dargestellten positiven Aspekten, hier vielleicht noch ein paar Punkte, die im Insrat nicht ganz so deutlich werden: Man benutzt nur einen kleinen Teil des Hauses und des Gartens, der Rest wird von privaten Gästen der Familie genutzt, die man aufgrund der Bauweise des Hauses dann natürlich auch hört und sieht. Das hat uns jetzt nicht wirklich gestört, muss man aber wissen. Außerdem sind die Heizmöglichkeiten nur provisorisch, so dass es jetzt Ende April noch recht kühl war, gerade nachts und z.B. im Bad. Da es auch keine gemütliche Sitzecke (Sofa o.ä.) gibt, haben wir dann die Zeit zum Lesen eher im Bett verbracht, war aber auch o.k.. Trotzdem eine klare Empfehlung.

Traumhafter Blick auf den See
Wir haben zwei schöne Wochen in dieser netten Ferienwohnung verbracht. Die Lage am Hang ist idyllisch und bietet einen fantastischen Blick aus dem Garten in dem wir viel Zeit verbracht haben. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympathisch und haben sich nett um uns gekümmert, ohne zu stören. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

Peaceful spot above lake como
Illaria's farmhouse was an excellent find! We very much enjoyed staying there, it had the nicest views of como and being near the center of the lake, was close to Mennagio and Villa Del Balbiano. It is a hike to get to and from the property but the privacy is worth it.

Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Ausblick auf den Comersee ist fantastisch. Wir haben draußen gegessen und den Ausblick genossen. Das Duschen mit dem Quellwasser war erfrischend. Im Schlafzimmer war es angenehm kühl, bei Außentemperaturen von 34 Grad.

Traumhafte Unterkunft
Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen absolut übertroffen. Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Von der Terrasse hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf den Comer See. Dieser Blick hat den bei der Hitze nicht ganz einfachen Aufstieg zum Haus immer wieder vergessen lassen. Der Service des Transportes der Koffer mit dem PKW nach der Ankunft und bei der Abreise hat hervorragend funktioniert. Sowohl Ilaria als auch ihrem Vater ist kein Wunsch zu viel. Beide stehen jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zu Seite. Kurzum, wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank!

Supertoll!
Das Quartier ist wie der Blick über den See wunderschön. Die Gastgeber sind sehr um unser Wohl besorgt gewesen. Der Anstieg ist spektakulär und zu Fuß anstrengend. Aber oben angekommen, ist es einfach fabelhaft, ruhig, urgemütlich, so richtig gut zum relaxen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

What a view!!
Such a beautiful location, yes the hill is a bit of a killer the first time... but so worth it for the amazing views! We loved our cosy stay at Ilaria’s place. We took our 1 year old, who was catered for perfectly, Ilaria kindly set up a cot and high chair. Check in and out were seamless, we couldn’t have asked for more.

Mum and dad are the owners of this lovely barn. They were born here in Mezzegra about 60 years ago. The barn was owned by my grandfather and was a cowshed for a long time. Than it remained empty for years, until my father, once retired, decided to restore it. So my mum and dad started the renovation: my father personally worked side by side with the builders to make sure the house could become as pretty as possible. They have 1 son and 2 daughters, they splitted the house into 3 apartments. We are a friendly family, who love getting to know new people and new cultures. We love it here! We wish to start renting out this place to those who love nature and peace, to share this place and its beautiful landscape with people who will appreciate it and will enjoy it as well as we do.. so enjoy!
