Tranquil, cosy, warm, secluded cottage in a perfect Idyllic setting by lake Bala

This was a perfect short winter break for my partner & I who are keen walkers. The cottage was very comfortable, clean & well equipped with all you required including good Wifi connection. There are 2 log wood burners which was a major bonus and no doubt added to the incredibly peaceful, cosy atmosphere which permeated throughout the entire cottage. Views from both front & back of the cottage were spectacular. It was such a treat to wake on our first morning to the magnificent surrounding views (snow capped mountains over lake Bala at the front & fields of sheep at the back). There was easy, safe car parking on site within the cottage grounds (so no angst there & car can be brought right up to the back door if necessary). This little gem of a cottage really is secluded & peaceful. There are no other cottages attached to it and you have complete privacy. (We only saw the lovely, very helpful Mr & Mrs Jones once for key handover on arrival and again on departure). We came back to London feeling totally rejuvenated & revived and look forward to revisiting Ffynnon Gower again!

Short stay - therapeutic and calming

The property is located above the lake which gives it a beautiful vantage and peaceful ambiance. The property is well equipped with every mod-con as well as real log fires. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the table on the terrace watching the changing autumnal landscape against the backdrop of the sky and lake. The reception was friendly and efficient and despite its rural location the property is easy to find - even in the dark.
