BRUNELLO - Cozy cottage located in a peaceful & panoramic position in Tuscany

Charming stone-built house located in a peaceful and panoramic position on the green, rolling hills near San Gimignano.

The villa is the result of a recent renovation which has transformed this ancient barn into a beautiful and comfortable detached villa, ideal for spending a relaxing holiday in the very heart of Tuscany.

Internally the house offers comfortable and cosy rooms, is well furnished in rustic style and provided with all modern facilities such as sat. TV, CD/DVD player, Wi-Fi internet access, dishwasher & washing machine, microwave oven, espresso coffee maker, air conditioning, central heating, etc.

The house, completely enclosed, is provided with a private swimming pool (5x10 m. - depth 1,20-1,60 m.) available from April to October set in an olive grove with nice panoramic view over the countryside.

The property is very centrally situated for visiting the most renowned historical and art centres in Tuscany as well as many other smaller characteristic villages in the Chianti region, and within easy reach of the 'Siena - Florence' dual carriageway (8 km).

Essential services (food shop and restaurant) are available in the nearby village of Ulignano (1.800 meters), whilst all kinds of services (supermarkets, banks, railway station, horse riding, tennis, etc.) can be found in the close town of Poggibonsi (8 km).

Ein Paradies!

Das ruhig gelegene Häuschen ist top gepflegt und super sauber. Genauso der wunderschöne Garten und private Pool; beides wird vom netten Besitzer Herrn Herrn Brunello frühmorgens liebevoll gepflegt. Wenn man aufsteht ist er schon wieder weg und man hat seine Privatsphäre. Bei schlechtem Wetter hätten wir allerdings gerne ab und zu mal den TV genutzt, leider gab es aber keine deutschsprachigen Sender. Das ist aber Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Auch der Ausblick ist ein Traum. Absolut zu empfehlen, wir kommen wieder!

A visit to Ulignano

We loved the location, very well positioned for day trips to San Gimignano, Certaldo, Lucca, Pisa, Florence. Although we were there in November, we still had sun and fair temperatures. We didn’t anticipate needing to pay extra for the heat, which we needed on the colder days. The grounds, pool, and views were really wonderful. The bathroom shower and all the floors could greatly benefit from a good washing, though, as well as the bedding. Kitchen was fine for cooking small meals here and there. We enjoyed using the indoor fireplace on colder evenings. We would recommend this villa for a couple or maybe a family with1 or 2 small children.

Sehr schön

Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen. Das Haus, der Pool und die Lage mit Blick in die Weinberge ist traumhaft. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es ist auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Besichtigung von San Gimignano, Siena und Florenz.

Casa Brunello

We loved our week in Brunello's cottage in the beautiful Tuscan countryside about 11 km north of San Gimignano. The cottage is well equipped and has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining area, and a terrace which is perfect for catching the afternoon and evening sun with something nice to drink. The garden and pool area is much more extensive than is obvious from the Vrbo listing, and is well provided with sun loungers, chairs, tables and sun shades. Our hosts Brunello and Beatrice were lovely people, helpful and a delight to deal with. Ulignano is the nearest village, and there is a small grocery shop there, but we found that the best supermarket is the Co-op in Certaldo about 15 minutes drive to the north which has everything that you need. The old town in Certaldo accessed by a funicular railcar didn't appear in our guide book but is lovely and well worth a visit. San Gimignano, Siena and Volterra are within easy reach by car. Overall, highly recommended.

Far exceeded expectations

Beautiful property, incredibly clean and well kept, the views are amazing. We felt like part of the local community, surrounded by beautiful olive groves and vineyards. Mr Brunello is very accommodating, we thank him for opening up his beautiful home allowing us to unwind for a week. The pool was a perfect place to relax and cool off under the Tuscan sun. We will certainly come back someday.

Perfekter Urlaub im perfekten Haus

Das Haus, der Garten mit Pool und die Aussicht sind einfach wunderschön. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und noch mehr. Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Garten und der Pool sind ganz toll angelegt und werden jeden Tag, ganz früh morgens, gereinigt und gepflegt. Selbst der am Vorabend benutzte Grill war morgens wieder sauber. Unglaublich. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt in ihrem Haus !

Brunello cottage Tuscany

My wife and I booked a week stay beginning of June , we selected this small cottage because of its gardens and pool , we were not disappointed at all , the flowers were lovely and created a lovely ambience when chilling out around the pool with a glass of chianti , We were met by mr brunello and an interpreter, the hand over was easy and straightforward, The cottage was clean and tidy with everything you need for our stay , it has typical Italian wooden furniture, and was cozy , The view from the balcony at sunset is stunningly Beautiful, There are shops within driving distance nearby for your groceries, We love every minute of our stay, Tip - take mosquito spray , there are mosquitoes in the Tuscany area and we found this out the first night we ate out on the balcony , we both got bitten a few times but this was only a small inconvenience and did nothing to spoil our stay,

Traumhaftes Kleinod

Sehr sympathischer Empfang. Unproblematische Anmeldung kurz vor Ankunft bei Beatrice! Ankommen und wohlfühlen, alles vorhanden bis zum Reinigungsmittel etc… sorglos rundum versorgt, selbst bei Reifenpanne vermittelt Beatrice kurzfristig eine professionelle Werkstatt (nach 1,5h war alles erl.). Herr Brunello Pflwgt das Anwesen mit viel Herzblut und ist jeden Morgen unauffällig unterwegs, alles ist dann gerichtet, Abfall, Pool und sogar die Reinigung des Grills! Die Westausrichtunf beschert traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge ab 8:00 ist aber auch schon frühstücken auf der anderen Gebäudeseite möglich! Vielen lieben Dank für diesen traumhaften Urlaub!

Wunderschön gelegenes Ferienhaus

Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche in dem Ferienhaus verbracht. Alles war perfekt organisiert und sehr gepflegt. Der Pool im Olivenhain ein Traum und unser Hauptaufenthalsort. Die Lage ist perfekt, um die Toskana zu erkunden.

Super Urlaub, wunderschönes Grundstück und toller Pool

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Etwas abgeschieden aber alles ist gut erreichbar, z.b. Supermarkt etc. Das Grundstück ist wunderschön mit Oliven Bäumen und einer schönen Aussicht über Weinberge. Der Pool ist wirklich Klasse und der nette Besitzer kümmert sich auch jeden Morgen um dessen Sauberkeit, auch wenn wir ihn nicht zu Gesicht bekommen haben währenddessen. Es gibt einen Grillplatz mit Kamin Grill, Liegen und Schirme, eine kleine Terrasse vor dem Haus zum Frühstücken, Parkplatz mit automatischem Tor. Das Willkommen war herzlich und sonst hat auch alles reibungslos geklappt. Wir waren begeistert

Wunderschöne Lage!!! Die Aussicht ist einfach nur fantastisch! Der Pool und der Garten ist wunderschön. Es geht nicht besser! Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Sehr netter Vermieter! Absolut weiterzuempfehlen!

Un bel endroit hors du temps

Monsieur Brunello a fait appel à une agence pour gérer la location et cela se ressent dans les prestations proposées (horaires d'accès pour la piscine, clim payante, pas de communication directe avec le proprietaire, ...) rendant l'expérience un peu moins humaine. Cependant, la maison est bien équipée, le grand lit est confortable et surtout le jardin (et l'espace piscine) est vraiment magnifique. Tout cela permet de se reposer dans cette belle maison et d'être un peu hors du temps au milieu des vignes.

Feine Sache!

Der Garten ist ein Traum! Pool, Grillplatz, ein toller Blick über die Weinberge und Hügel der Toskana, inmitten von Olivenbäumen. Das Haus ist nicht groß aber gut gepflegt - mit allem was man braucht und völlig außreichend bei aktiven Tagen draußen!
