Great apartment in Chelsea

The apartment is great. Located in a central area, in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. The hosts, Shelly and David were wonderful. They made us feel welcomed, picked us up at the airport, and had good advice about places of interest and restaurants in the area. It was a pleasure staying at their apartment.

Ideal place to visit London

We had a wonderful stay in this 2 bedroom Chelsea/Earl's Court apartment. How amazing to be met by Dave at Heathrow airport and how kind of him to drive two weary travellers to the apartment. The apartment was ideal for two friends who spent each day of our one-week visit traipsing through museums, gardens and shops with some evenings enjoying London theatre. Another kindness of Shelley and Dave is that they stocked the pantry and fridge with excellent items - fresh fruit, cereal, cheese, cake, coffee and much more. The apartment is on a quiet residential street and well-situated - within walking distance of good restaurants, cafes and pastry shops, pubs and shops, as well as the Early Court underground station. Here again, S & D offered great suggestions, and we appreciated their recommendation to visit the most interesting Brompton Cemetery There was no issue hiring Ubers from this address. The apartment is compact, but is well appointed with furniture and appliances, dishes and linens, and has everything needed for a stay of a week or much longer. And we need to especially compliment the beds - 5 star hotel quality! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment, managed by stellar and thoughtful hosts!

Amazing Stay!

16 Westgate Terrace provided the perfect backdrop for our two-week stay in London! From booking to arrival all communications were seamless, efficient and gracious. This set the tone beautifully for what was to come. Our flat was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable throughout. Welcoming fruit, baked goods, cheese and eggs, etc spoke volumes to the attention and care our hosts Shelley, Dave and Vicky strive to provide. Having been to London many times, this was my first VRBO stay and it exceeded all expectations. I look forward to returning to this charming spot in a wonderful neighbourhood!

The flat added so much pleasure to our nine day stay

The other reviews already mention the fabulous and welcoming communication with Shelley. I will add that we have vacationed through vrbo exclusively for a decade and Shelley is by far the best host we have stayed with. We arrived after a long international flight and arrived to receive a personal introduction to the flat. Since it was a holiday the flat had been furnished with basic groceries so we could restore ourselves immediately and make the most of the day. The location could not be more perfect in a quiet street and beautiful neighborhood. It was an easy walk to the underground, to a market and to a bakery. it was a short walk to the best Italian restaurant we have ever eaten in, to a pub, and to a Spanish restaurant amongst other. Best of all is to start or end your day on the flower strewn roof deck.

Fantastic!

There are 2 parts to any VRBO stay - the property and the host. I can't say enough marvelous things about either one! First, the property was absolutely laden with charm. Located in a very quiet neighborhood (just one street over is a busy road but you'd never know it!), it's perfect for walking or just watching out the window and relaxing! The Tube station is only a short walk and it's a major hub (Earl's Court) with access to multiple train lines, giving you the freedom of the city! There are a several excellent pubs nearby. A grocer is literally on the way home from the Tube station! But Shelly also provides a wheeled grocery cart for those moments when you want to pick up heavier items. The bed? Absolutely marevelous. So comfy! All the furniture was! Shelly is one of the best hosts we've ever encountered. Attentive, available, supportive and so, so helpful!! The little extras like having a few groceries available when we arrive was just heartwarming and made us instantly feel at home. The introduction to the place was also incredibly helpful (We came from the States where appliances work just a little differently!). Any question we had, no matter how trivial, was answered promptly. She was also great at suggestions of places to go, etc. Our only sad moment was that we had to leave to go home! I simply can't recommend this property highly enough for what it has to offer!

Wonderful

From months prior to our arrival this was an exceptional experience. Shelley and David were wonderful hosts, went above and beyond to welcome us to London and their lovely home. This was by far the best experience I have had. We very much appreciated meeting Shelley and David at the airport upon arrival and the lift to the flat. Their place was just as described - so welcoming and comfortable, with a fridge full of basic needs and treats to tide us over until we could do some shopping of our own. This allowed us to relax and recharge after our flight from Boston. This is a perfect little flat that had everything we needed and was in such a perfect location. Easy to access everything. I only wish we had a little bit better weather so we could have enjoyed the beautiful private terrace out back. I really cannot say enough about how delightful Shelley and David and this charming flat are. We will definitely return here.

Wonderful apartment in London

We spent 2 weeks in this lovely apartment. It is in a quiet location in beautiful neighborhood a short walk from Earl’s Court, with easy access to all parts of London. The rooms are relatively small, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were lucky to have nice weather and enjoyed a few meals on the terrace. Shelley and David were out of town during our stay, but were able to answer all of our questions over the phone. After our long flight we appreciated the breakfast foods and snacks that were left for us. We hope to return to this wonderful apartment next time we visit London!

Very nice stay in good neighborhood

Shelly and Dave were great hosts. Not only did they offer to pick us up at the airport, they also left us a bunch of goodies (cookies, scones, jam, eggs, cheese, bread, juice… etc). It was really nice and meant we didn’t have to grocery shop that first night. We’ve never had that kind of welcome from a host and it really stood out. The apartment is in a nice quiet area. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Tube stations are close by and it’s easy to get a cab. We didn’t have a car and we’re able to get around easily. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to make breakfast every day and some light lunches. Grocery cart was a nice surprise, very handy! Only a few notes for other guests… -The bed is not an “American size” king and at ~6’ tall each (me 135lbs / him 185lbs) we found it much too small. I limited my search criteria to king only but didn’t think to clarify it was an American king. That’s on me so FYI to you. -The clothes dryer blocks the freezer. While you can muscle it out of the way, there is no where for it to go without being in a main walkway so we decided to forgo use of the freezer or ice and buy fresh food only. -Extra towels or sheets given the length of stay would have been appreciated but the laundry unit allowed us to keep things fresh&clean. Overall we had a lovely stay ;)

Perfect home away from home!

Shelley and David’s flat is a lovely place in a charming building in a beautiful residential neighborhood. The flat is very well appointed and comfortable, and they provided a delicious breakfast spread, which was much appreciated after a very long flight. My friend and I co-worked easily, as there was enough space for us both to take conference calls, including a spacious and peaceful back deck. The flat was also convenient to at least two tube stations and within walking distance of several noteworthy neighborhoods, but also blissfully out of the fray. Shelley was also super responsive to my inquiries and David was willing to drive me to the train station in the wee hours when a Tube strike was threatened. I would definitely stay here again if given the chance.

Perfect spot

Everything was delightful. This apartment was perfect for our family of 3. Our 19 year old son was happy with the small 2nd Br. We arrived in London on my husband’s birthday and Shelley had a small cake waiting as well as a candle for us to use. So thoughtful. David picked us up for the train station and helped with the luggage. We are so thankful for that added touch. There were also some eggs, bread, scones and other things to get us started. I even had to go find the scones and buy more to take home. They were so good. Shelley really has thought of everything for this apartment. So many nice little touches. We enjoyed the lovely terrace in the evenings for drinks and dinner a few nights. The location is very quiet. It’s close to Earl’s Court which is a quick ride to everywhere we wanted to go in London. Tube uses tap pay CC now so no Ouster card needed. West Brompton Station also has a direct train every hour to Warford Junction for Harry Potter Studio Tour. That also used tap pay. This place was so convenient and perfect for us. I would highly recommend it. We totally enjoyed our stay. Shelley and David are wonderful hosts. Probably the best I have ever worked with. A month in London

Shelley and David are wonderful hosts. They picked us up at the airport. The apartment is luxurious. The centralized location near Earl’s Court and West Brompton station made zipping around London a breeze. While you don’t need one we got Oyster cards for the tube and used them a lot. Castles, cathedrals, museums and parks. Perfect!!!

Lovely Experience!

Shelley the owner met us at the door after waiting as we had delayed flight. She graciously Had stocked the fridge with essentials, eggs, milk, orange juice, bread, etc. which was very welcoming after a long flight. Apartment was bright and extra clean with a lovely patio. Shelley had given us a detailed list of restaurants, excursions and shopping which we used! Beds are super comfy and all in all it was a wonderful stay!!

Awesome Property in London

We are an American couple in our 60s who traveled to the UK for the first time in May 2023. This flat is located on a charming, quiet, upscale Chelsea street. It is a very convenient and safe area that is within easy walking distance to the Underground, restaurants and shops. It is very easy to get to all areas of London and beyond via the tube or by cab. The flat is lovely - clean, comfortable and private. Our hosts, Shelley and Dave, are wonderful, kind and friendly. They provided a well-stocked inventory of amenities, including goodies that we surely appreciated upon arrival after our long journey from New York. They made us feel very welcome and they are very responsive.

Great Location/Restaurants/Grocery only a short walk!

1. Location a. The location is an easy walk to West Brompton station or Earls Court station. Starbucks, Costa Coffee, and several grocery stores & restaurants within easy walking distance. 2. Comfort a. Beds were super comfortable. b. The water pressure in the shower was great. c. The refrigerator has plenty of room. d. The freezer location is a little funky but easy to get to. e. Only missing a couple of shelves to put things on f. Nice balcony to sit out on. We could not take advantage of that fully as it was a little chilly. 3. Quiet a. Great neighborhood and incredibly quiet! Stayed one month and saw one neighbor once! b. Heard neighbor above us on occasion walking around but not much. Do not really hear car noise or dogs barking… 4. Amenities a. Shelley left the fruit bowl which we devoured and scones! b. Oh, and cookies she left were gone first day…. c. The umbrella behind the door came in handy! 5. Other a. Walked in Brompton cemetery nearly daily. I know that sounds weird but a ton of people and dogs walking with you. It has a ONE MILE loop. Even has a café inside the cemetery! b. Go to the Troubadour for breakfast. Old rock and roll hang out! c. The Pembroke bar and La Pappardella were good also. Maybe a 5-minute walk away. d. Tesco and Waitrose grocery stores also both remarkably close

Comfort Galore

It may have been wet and very cold during our 2 week stay in our beloved London but this vrbo was pure warmth and coziness and comfort. And so quiet! We were greeted warmly by the owners daughter and shown around with care and patience. We knew the owners did something truly extraordinary by stocking the kitchen but we weren't expecting fabulous scones and cream along with so many well selected basics that kept us in breakfast heaven for a week! I loved the London decor and accessories (tea cups honoring the Queen's 90th) and all the fresh comfort. I slept like a dream. The location was divine. Heartfelt thanks to owners Shelley and Dave, who we hope to meet next time we book. London is "my happy place.: After 12 visits we finally have found "a home away from home." BRAVO!!!

Perfect Stay in London

Beautiful and clean apartment in a quiet residential area. Easy access to all major sites and neighborhoods either walking or via the tube (nearby Earls Court station serves both Piccadilly and District lines). Shelley and Dave are responsive and helpful. There is not anything new I can add to the dozens of five star reviews for this apartment - it is exactly as advertised and praised by all the others.

Lovely, clean, quiet London flat

Shelley and David's London flat worked out perfectly for visiting our son close by. David graciously picked me up from the airport and showed me around the flat. They had nicely stocked food items available when I got there. We found the flat to be very clean. It is on a very quiet street, walking distance to buses and the underground. We weren't able to use the outside deck due to the weather, but it looked lovely.

Convenience and Comfort

It was so pleasant to actually be greeted by a person instead of a lockbox! Vicky was delightful and gave us a wonderful tour of the flat and even demonstrated the use of the nespresso machine. She also fully stocked the kitchen with fresh fruit, bread, milk, butter, jam, cereal, and fresh croissants for breakfast. Shelley, the owner, provided us with excellent London information! She detailed an excellent walk that began from the flat’s front door. Transportation was so close and easy as well as many good restaurants and pubs. We used the terrace almost every day after walking or sightseeing. The flowers were still beautiful! Staying here was a delight!

Great London Stay

Wonderful apartment near Earls Court. Close to many nice restaurants, easy tube rides to throughout the city. Very comfortable place. Loved the “ Treats” provided by the owner upon our arrival. Highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in London

Two weeks in central London

This is an excellent property, well equipped with everything one might need, on a quiet residential street, a short walk from the tube station in one direction and shops in the other.

I live with my husband and two teenage children in a small village near Guildford in the Surrey Hills. I very much enjoy walking in the beautiful countryside surrounding us, practising Yoga and spending as much time as I can with my family and close friends. We enjoy having our flat in London, using it ourselves as a second home - enjoying its fabulous location, being close to many of our favorite restaurants, shopping and Theatre. Our apartment is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We would like to share our apartment with others who appreciate its location and comfort as well.

Why they chose this property

Our apartment is in a fantastic location in the heart of Chelsea and has a beautiful Roof Garden Terrace which is so nice to have - for al fresco dining and relaxing during one's stay. We are only a short stroll away from Redcliffe Square and the Kings Road for designer stores and chic restaurants.
My mother grew up in Fulham and this area has always been special to me as I used to travel up to my grandparents regularly as a child.

The area is quiet which is a real advantage as so many streets close by are very noisy and on main roads. Our road is quiet and gives a relaxing feel. The main bedroom is at the back of the apartment overlooking gardens - giving a tranquil feel.
